  1. He's going to the Rock 'N Roll hall of fame. Big rocker that Terry is.
  2. Troy Aikman - UCLA Won a few SBs, two against us. Then there is the Mark Sanchez's of the world...
  3. He probably said the same thing about all the teams he visited. Why alienate anyone?
  4. Please, no more marketing campaigns, it just sounds dumb.
  5. I long for the days when football on Sunday, and Monday night, were free of politics. These kneeling displays should not even occur, if Goodell wasn't so weak and afraid of the player's union. I think there is an NFL rule stating that players should stand at attention during the singing of the National Anthem prior to the start of the game.
  6. Yes, because I think the Giants are better served by drafting a QB with the #2 pick in the first round.
  7. No, not that i dislike Barkley. It is more that I think the Giants are in the perfect situation to get a top 3 QB to replace Eli Manning in a couple of years. The NYG situation would be similar to when the Packers drafted Aaron Rodgers to sit behind Brett Favre for three seasons; not that I'm comparing any of the rookie QBs to Aaron Rodgers, but I think you can see what I'm getting at.
  8. Exactly. If Gettleman does draft Barkley with the #2 pick, I'd seriously consider firing him if I was the Mara's.
  9. Still need help at MLB, OLB, DE, and DT. Plus quality depth in the defensive backfield would be good.
  10. I suspect that Russ Brandon, as well as Terry and Kim Pegula will not insert themselves into the draft. They are most likely present just to be in the loop and understand what is taking place. Also, Russ and Terry will probably speak with the first round draft choice(s) by phone after selection, as is customary. Beane, McDermott, and their football operations staff will be calling the shots, I believe.
  11. I would like this. Hope your predictions are accurate.
  12. This draft will no doubt be huge for Beane and McDermott. I've like the job they've done thus far over the past year and am giving them the benefit of the doubt. I don't think they give away multiple first round picks for a QB; just a hunch I have about them.
  13. I don't understand why the Giants would pass on a QB. Eli Manning isn't getting any younger and now seems like the perfect time for them to have their pick and let him sit behind Eli for 2-3 seasons; much like Rodgers behind Favre. This opportunity is too obvious for NYG to pass up.
  14. Preston Brown was ok at MLB, but he's gone and we don't have a viable replacement. We struggled against the run and did not get enough pressure on the opposing QB. These reasons are why a MLB is more important to address. Do you feel like we utilized Clay, O'Leary, and an anticipated up and coming Logan Thomas correctly last season? I don't. I'm taking the opposite approach, which is go with the TEs we have now and address the holes at LB.
  15. I'd rather address MLB at the 2nd round pick than a TE. IMO, the defensive front seven are a higher priority to get squared away before a TE is taken.
  16. Why give up a #1 next year? Pretty expensive, as well as a risk, given how many other positions need to be addressed. I can see fans in a chat site talking like this, but the GMFB hosts shouldn't get as caught up in the QB hype.
  17. If this is what they put forward, that show should be off the air.
  18. The draft can't get here soon enough...
  19. FWIW, if anyone is interested. I was listening to Moving The Chains on SiriusXM with Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan this afternoon during my drive home. They had a mock draft segment, and I happened to catch the part where they had the Bills selecting Lamar Jackson at 12. I turned the channel after that because I'm tired of mock drafts.
  20. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nba/2018/04/20/former-nba-nfl-athletes-estimate-marijuana-use-players-high/536254002/ "Former tight end Martellus Bennett thought the number was even higher in the NFL, where injuries and physical pain are more prevalent. I want to say about 89% (of the NFL used marijuana)," Bennett told Bleacher Report in a separate interview among former NFL players. "
  21. If I was the NFL, OBJ would be candidate #1 for testing.
  22. The rookie QB most likely won't start, so it's AJ we'll have to be patient with, at least in the immediate term. A lot also depends on who else McD and Beane can get via draft and FA to fill in other holes on the team.
  23. Doesn't matter, it's the Bills so 7-9 it is.... I personally will wait until TC to venture a guess on this season's record.
  24. I sarcastically said that it seems like the NFL forgot Peyton Manning is retired, but I wonder if there isn't some truth to that. Every season the Colts are in a couple of prime time games and they're just terrible - the Colts and the game. If Luck is healthy AND they fill in many, many holes on both sides of the ball they could be decent, but I doubt they'll be able to do it in one off season. Irsay is not a sober individual.
