  1. Exactly. Fans are not interested in player's political, social, etc opinions, and displaying such opinions during game time is not appropriate. The NFL paid the price (literally) last season for these protests, hence the 'new' rules. Actually, it was an old rule that they seemed to think needed re-codified. Fans want to see games free of politics and maybe the NFL is starting to get this.
  2. Made me cry - January, 1981 loss to the San Diego Chargers which finished the short playoff run. I was a young kid at the time. Pissed off - Wide right. We should have won that SB. Disappointed - too many to list. Now, I'm optimistic we're headed in the right direction.
  3. I'm thankful for this forum. Thanks to the mods and owner for keeping a good thing going.
  4. Score on empty net. Caps move on to Stanley Cup round. I have to admit, I'm worried about facing VGK
  5. 3-0 CAPS. Great break away goal
  6. Puck's not bouncing their way...just one of those games. Glad it's happening this game.
  7. 2-0 CAPS. They finally steal a pass and take advantage of it.
  8. Caps are fortunate a lot of breaks are going their way at the net they're tending.
  9. I think they both can play at the start of the 2nd. After the second fight, neither team had a power play, once the 4-on-4 ended.
  10. Coburn and Wilson out until the 2nd period
  11. Another good game - lots of action and some good fights.
  12. Can't wait for Wednesday night where I hope to see this Caps team. If they show up, Caps should win; IMO Caps are the better team.
  13. This is a hell of a game. Where has this Caps team been? Like the aggressive play; taking it to the Lightening. Holtby is having a great game.
  14. 2-2 sounds quite possible, with 3-1 not being out of the question if we can put some pressure on Rodgers. GB does have a new DC, so they're unknown on that front, much like our offense. Doubt we have a shot at the Vikings, who I expect to be real good this year. Baltimore is a mediocre team we should beat; Flacco won't beat anyone early in the season. I don't buy into the Chargers being a great team, they're okay. The game last November was a disaster with Peterman starting and throwing 5 picks.
  15. The OLine could be good enough to pretty good assuming they go back to a power blocking scheme from the zone blocking scheme, which Dennison was enamored with and did not suit the skillset of the players last season. The rest of the offense is almost unpredictable at this point as it hinges on AJ as well as Brian Daboll's skillset and schemes as an OC. I too am more comfortable with the defense as it should be very good...potentially top 10.
  16. Doesn't matter, neither of these teams will beat the Vegas Golden Knights. TB will be a matter matchup no one will beat Vegas.
  17. At the end of the 1st period...NO.
  18. Tyrod was very good against the Dolphins. Unfortunately, we can't play the Dolphins all 16 games.
  19. Yep. Good post, sums up Tyrod's tenure in Buffalo. I liked Tyrod, but we need more from the QB position; hope AJ, then Josh Allen can give us that.
  20. Enough with the dog and pony show. When do the Clintons, Obama, and their entire cabal go to jail? That's all I want to see.
  21. Knights look really good. The Jets cannot match the aggressiveness by Vegas.
  22. Good post, you very well could be right. Just going by the teams they are on, Cousins could certainly look better than Alex Smith; much better supporting cast in Minny. My initial point was that I believe both are slightly above average QBs who need a good supporting cast to win. Cousins will have that and look good. Smith will probably look about average as a Redskin.
