  1. High profile from yesteryear. Colts vs Patriots...this won't be Manning vs Brady. Maybe the NFL forgot Peyton retired.
  2. Why do teams have to fiddle with this stuff? Can't leave well enough alone...
  3. Like mentioned above, Shady would have had to been here longer than just the later part of his career. Great RB, no doubt. But, IMO, I'd think of him more as an Eagle than Bill once he retires.
  4. Actually, no, he wouldn't. Tyrod would wait until the receiver was 'college open' to throw the ball. These plays that Hyde is referring to occur in tight windows with little time to react.
  5. Defense - Tre White: this guy will be a shutdown corner in a short amount of time Offense - Shady: he is our offense until proven otherwise
  6. They all want the ring. I'd imagine these players also want to know what it feels like to receive special treatment from the NFL officiating and review staff.
  7. Beane and McDermott will need to nail the QB pick, especially if they trade up. If they trade up and miss (which will be apparent in a couple of seasons) they are probably finished since there will be a lot of losing; with multiple picks given up in lieu of filling in a lot of holes. I'm sure there is a guy they're targeting, and if the opportunity is there they'll trade up. If not, I suspect they possibly trade back and and get option B at QB later in the first, or possibly later rounds. Either way, there will be a lot of griping around here no matter who they pick. I trust Beane and McDermott, they have a plan and they're acting on it. I think they will be cautious and will not trade up for a "well, he's decent and could work, but not our first choice" guy; there is not room for error given the Bills position needs. I know I'm not introducing anything new and exciting, but I think this is the reality of how the draft will go.
  8. Very good news. Hope he finally has this beat.
  9. Plus...he was one of the few (maybe the only back) that took the snap directly and ran through the 'A' Gap. I don't think too many backs do that even now. Thurman was multi talented, maybe not a 'flashy' runner, but a very effective one...in multiple facets.
  10. I agree, Thurman was a great all around back. He was also a good blocker; I remember him picking up many blitzers that otherwise would have got to Jim Kelly.
  11. Nope. Which ever ones peel off the wall easiest.
  12. Because I live under power lines and eat paint chips.
  13. Probably will be a Redskin this season. Sounds like a deal Snyder would do without thinking twice, or conferring with Jay Gruden.
  14. He's a head case, forget it.
  15. I think we need another QB poll, there hasn't been enough of them.
  16. I don't know about that; I think a hot dog is its own thing. If a hot dog is a sandwich, then so is a hamburger. I've never been to a sandwich shop and seen hot dog or hamburger on the menu. Either way, I'm kind of hungry. What's wrong with that? If, for example, you see someone eating wings with french or russian dressing, they should have their wings taken from them. But not with ranch.
  17. Plausible scenario, but for the love of all that is good...just don't let LorAx cover anyone. He's primarily a pass rushing LB. Humber had his moments and he is adequate. It's going to be tough to adequately fill all holes this draft and off-season, especially if we trade up for a QB.
  18. I'd like to see a higher priority given to LB and DL; IMO, rotational DE signings and potentially one good DT and an aging Kyle, point to more struggles vs opposing rushing attack. Milano is more an OLB, no? So the LB corps is a little light and definitely need to add a quality MLB, and wouldn't mind seeing another OLB. I'll assume your OL suggestions will work...at least I'm hoping they do.
  19. No fights defending my Bills fandom since elementary school. Most people now respect that I am still a Bills fan after all the crappy seasons we've been through; anyone who is a Bills fan now is a real fan. I do get some good natured ribbing from other teams' fans...BILLS is an acronym for Boy I Love Losing Superbowls. Heard that a few times over the years.
  20. Something tells me that he won't be around for long.
  21. Don't get me wrong, our WR talent is lacking. No one will confuse this team with the 1999 St. Louis Rams. My personal view is to solidify the defense front 7 and the OL first, as games are won and lost in the trenches. A star WR will do little good if the QB is either on his back or running for his life, as well as if the opposing offense runs through our defense like they did vs the Saints this past season.
  22. That's a possibility, and if so, it would make sense for the Browns to trade out of #1. I was under the assumption that they were after Darnold, but no one knows what anyone else is doing at this point.
  23. I doubt this. Why would the Browns want to entertain a trade to the #1 slot? They're sitting pretty at 1 and 4.
  24. Richie was a good Guard who really turned his career around, but not HOF worthy.
  25. I disagree. Still need a DT and DE on the DLine. Get the trenches squared away before before you go after skill positions.
