  1. During Whaley's tenure, Ralph was largely disconnected from the Bills. Russ Brandon was the de facto owner.
  2. Pete Carroll as another example. One year with NYJ (6-10) then three years with NE (10-6, 9-7, 8-8).
  3. Everything is Whaley's fault with you, isn't it? You never miss an opportunity to take a dig at him, like beating a dead horse. Like the coaching had zero input in the player decisions, whether it be Marrone or Rex. News flash - it's the GMs job to bring in the talent that the coach wants, or get rid of players that do not fit the coaches' scheme. What did Whaley do to you, boink your woman? This subject has been beaten to death; Whaley had his issues as a GM, but he was not as bad as you make him out to be.
  4. I see what you're saying. Crowded picks can eliminate a lot of people if the game ends up being an upset. But sometimes, the best pick is the best pick.
  5. How are you doing it wrong by picking what you believe to be the best option the current week? By "saving" a team for later weeks, you're pretty much assuring that you won't see the later weeks.
  6. I agree with this. It looks like the Pegulas got it right the second time around, and I think they'll give Beane and McD the time they need to get things turned around. Seems positive thus far.
  7. Saints. Seems like the safest pick in week 1 where you don't really know the teams yet.
  8. Peterman Interceptions: under Ravens Sacks: under Passing yards: over Peterman will get the ball out within 2 seconds. That and I'm giving the Oline the benefit of the doubt of allowing him around 3 seconds, which I may end up regretting, but I hope not.
  9. Good post. I agree. I don't recall McDermott expressing concern about the Oline in preseason. It didn't look good to us fans, but we may not have seen then what we'll see in the regular season; I really hope I'm right about that. McD's concern was the penalties, from what I saw.
  10. What will change in late October?
  11. 20-13 Bills. The Ravens offense shouldn't scare anyone.
  12. It's included, which is why they don't want kids. If this activity appeals to you knowing what a good portion of the clientele that might partake looks like. I've never been on a river cruise, but by seeing Viking's commercials, I doubt I would be interested in one. Looks boring.
  13. Always split K, Q, J, and 10, then double down. You're bound to hit on one of them. Never run with scissors in your hands. Never stick a fork in a socket. Never stare directly at the sun. The rest of life is gravy.
  14. I hear you, and I may be an optimist. Our offense, especially the Oline, showed little in preseason. Maybe we didn't see then what we'll see on Sunday and we're not quite as bad as it appears...I hope.
  15. I don't. IMO, you're giving them a little too much credit. Like the Bills, the Raven's strength will be the defense, mostly the Dline and secondary. It will be interesting to see how much time the Bills' Oline can give Peterman to throw. If they can give him 2-3 seconds, that should be sufficient. Hopefully our run blocking (which should be better than pass blocking) will give Shady, Ivory, and Murphy lanes to run through. CJ Mosley is good, but he's no Ray Lewis. We could have a good day running the ball, assuming we don't give them enough of an incentive to stack the box. Their Oline is not dominant. From a WalterFootball article Our defense could have a very good day against Flacco, who is prone to turnovers, and a less than dominant run game. Again, this is not the 2012 Ravens, and certainly not the 2000 Ravens. It is a middle of the pack team hoping to get to the playoffs, and no expectations of a SB run.
  16. Thanks for setting this up!
  17. Completely agree. He's getting a little long in the tooth. Maybe at first glance, on paper. But I certainly wouldn't give them this game. This is far from the 2012 Ravens that won the SB.
  18. No, this coming Sunday. I don't know why some people here think Baltimore is some special team with SB hopes. They're an aging team that will most likely be looking to rebuild after this season.
  19. Yeah, they'll probably call for a fire sale of the roster. Baltimore has a lot of older guys (over 30) who weigh heavily on their cap - Flacco, Marshall Yanda, Eric Weddle, Jimmy Smith. It seems like they are thinking more toward the future and hoping for the best this year. I think this is a winnable game for Buffalo.
  20. All these gloom and doom predictions most likely will not come to fruition. I can't wait to see what these people say when the Bills pull out a win over Baltimore.
  21. I haven't been to that pats fan site in a while, now I remember why. Bunch of obnoxious d-bags who never fail to prove they know nothing...even about the team they claim to root for. BTW, I'd rather go to a Jets fan board...more entertaining. Pats fan boards are boring and irritating.
  22. When? After he hurt his shoulder? That's obvious...
  23. Thanks for putting this together. Agree with Joe ^^^, not hard to get 9 wins.
  24. 9-7. I'm thinking we won't regress from last year. Might be some growing pains the first half of the season, but I think this team finishes strong and plays meaningful games in December.
  25. John Daly. Get him some season tickets and say he's Harrison Phillips adopted father.
