  1. I wouldn't. Overrated, over paid, injury concern.
  2. I'm surprised they traded AJ as soon as they did. Maybe the coaching staff and FO have more confidence in the Oline than us fans, which would be good because they see and know more than we do.
  3. I liked O'Leary, also. All he did was come up with catches when called upon to do so. He will be on another team soon enough.
  4. Heisenberg barks a lot and is typically negative. He'll make some good points, but there are too many other analysts I'd rather read for macro, as well as focused points. I can't imagine Beane making a splash over the next couple of days...but maybe you were joking and I didn't pick up on it.
  5. I get what you're saying, OP, but I think most of it is just BBFS - Battered Bills Fan Syndrome. Nothing good will happen for us, so even a hint of something bad gets blown over into full travesty. Note that this is the opposite of PFS- Pats Fan Syndrome - obnoxious, ignorant, entitled band wagon fans.
  6. Goff will no doubt get paid in a couple of years. So Goff and Donald will be their core pieces on offense and defense, respectively. Suh is only there for the next year or two, then will be gone, after the Rams make their short-term SB push. We'll see what happens after that in the longer term.
  7. I think you hit on something, which is how many QBs do we plan to keep. If only two, then yeah, we can shop him and maybe get a late round pick or another player. If Beane/McD can afford to hold onto three for the first half of the season, that might be better when injuries start to take their toll (someone's QB will go down) and demand could pick up. If keeping three means cutting someone like Vlad, then I'm all for it.
  8. To who? Who will want him at this date? AJ might be worth keeping around for the first several weeks, and if he looks like he won't be needed, then maybe revisit trading him before the deadline in October.
  9. Of those problems, I think the penalties will be fixed in short order. The others are still a work in progress.
  10. Ramsey, and the article, left out the part where Gronk pushes off to get so wide open. The thing is, he really doesn't need to do this with his size advantage, but he does and gets away with it.
  11. In the mid 80s to very early 90s when they released Love, Electric, Sonic Temple, and Ceremony, The Cult was defined more as alternative. I wouldn't put them in the same category as The Rolling Stones, for example, or any of the hair/glam metal bands. If you listen to Sirius XM, the 1st Wave channel (classic alternative) will play Cult songs. Maybe a matter of semantics but new wave = classic alternative from today's perspective; most of the groups presented in these threads also are heard on 1st Wave. The Cult can be a tough genre to nail down, and depends on who you ask.
  12. I was thinking along the lines of more prominent congressmen/women. How many of them go into office as middle class people, but come out after years of service as multi millionaires? It's like Animal Farm, all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.
  13. Yeah, I was torn on that. I listed it as new wave since they are played on 1st Wave on Sirius XM. But I see your point since they are also on Ozzy's Boneyard. Not one particular genre.
  14. I'm not so sure about that. Most of the kids today are more concerned with Taylor Swift, rap/hip-hop, and the like. I haven't asked any of them if they know who the Sex Pistols are; they may have 'heard' of them just because of the unique name, but I doubt they could identify any of their music or know who Johhny Rotten (Lydon) is.
  15. I wouldn't mind summer as much if there wasn't days like today - 95 degrees and humid. Hard to do anything other than sit in a pool (if I had one). I'm more of a winter person since I love skiing and snowboarding, as well as the cold, fresh air.
  16. Exactly. It was ground breaking, as well as an affront to disco, which at the time (1977) was at the height of popularity.
  17. Yes, he did; and against the Chargers, as well. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/3647-colts-chargers-a-nightmare-game-for-peyton-manning So did Fitzy. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2016/09/25/ryan-fitzpatricks-six-interceptions-amazed-the-internet/?utm_term=.d851ea38529c
  18. Sex Pistols. Great punk group who really only released one album "Never Mind the Bullocks, Here's the Sex Pistols"
  19. Fart in a bag and give it to someone hyperventilating.
  20. We were saying this about Castillo last year. It seemed to be written off as a Dennison problem since he was fired, though some of it probably is attributable to him. Shady didn't score a rushing TD until what, week 6 last year? Funny how the line is having problems again this year and Castillo is still around as the common denominator. But yeah, the loss of Eric Wood and Richie is hurting.
  21. The offensive line was the part that wasn't ready, and that's concerning no matter who is the starting QB week 1. None of the QBs will be successful if this isn't fixed in just under two weeks. Not concerned about the play calling in a glorified scrimmage. The staff is most likely trying to get a read on how the QB does in various play calls, even if it doesn't make sense at the particular time.
  22. I thought Aaron Kromer did not want to be in Buffalo, but wanted to follow Anthony Lynn out to LA. So McD let him go. Maybe I'm wrong about this, but it is what I thought I remember happening.
