  1. Do the Bills ever re-sign players who have Parker as their agent? The way it's presented, all his players take off to other teams for bigger paychecks. Edit: Not that I think EJ deserves keeping right at the moment, we'll find out in the coming seasons, though.
  2. The thing about this year is... EJ's first two games were good/solid, second two games he struggled, considering they were his 11-14th games started, that's not exactly abnormal. KO gave us a known quantity, so I understand why we went there... but I don't think EJ was nearly as bad this year as some present.
  3. So have about 25 other teams. The fact is, "elite" QBs don't come easy. It's basically a crapshoot unless you're Luck/Manning coming out of college. So this whining about the Bills needing a QB is really dumb, because our FO is very aware. Every team has constant pressure on them to secure the next elite QB.
  4. I'm liking the white and blue scheme right now. It's still fresh for me.
  5. People from NYC seem to think it's a great hire. People from elsewhere range from "LOLBILLS" to "ehhh, probably not gonna be much of a change"
  6. Hopefully our front office reads TBD and now fully realizes that we need an elite QB. They've been asleep at the wheel for too long.
  7. Maybe I'm naive, but it just seems really dumb for a guy who has worked his way to a head coaching position in the NFL. Maybe emotions got the best of him with some sort of conflict.
  8. Brady will retire before we sweep the Patriots, sadly.
  9. Yeah, that's reasonable, as long as the coaching is there to teach him to not take giant hits.
  10. These stories make me really wonder what happened between Marrone and the Front Office... Does he really have that big of an ego to think he could walk out, and have another head coaching job lined up?
  11. Ok, so who is "franchise/elite" that we can realistically get? If that person isn't available, then I think it's a good thing we have a strong D, and hopefully we can improve the rest of the team around our middling QBs to give ourselves a chance.
  12. I'd like to see him move more, but that doesn't mean QB running plays, and exposing him to injury. Things like moving the pocket can go a long way towards giving him time to throw, and breaking down a defense.
  13. None of those names really speak to me, so I'm taking a chance and voting "rookie".
  14. Get wins, earn respect. Pretty simple. Don't understand why we whine about this every year.
  15. I'm still in the "wait and see" mode, I like Rex's personality though. It's really on the GM to see what talent we can pick up during the offseason, and what talent we can retain. We definitely need some help in key areas.
  16. At the very least, having EJ learn from one of the best quarterbacking minds ever would be a plus.
  17. Interesting... going a step in, it drops to 14th for Bachelor degrees. Makes me wonder if the liberal arts/sciences associates degree is more often used a stepping stone. Thanks for the link
  18. I wish him success (just not against us), seemed like a good guy, and I liked his schemes.
  19. In my non-expert opinion, I think spread formations are more productive and efficient in general. I think Chan showed us that. You spread the defense out, it's easier to find soft spots for WR/TEs, and holes for RBs. I honestly don't understand why any team would run anything but a spread offense. I mean, for short yardage plays, I can understand a heavy formation, but that's about it. Edit: Now that I say that, I can see a spread formation being difficult for a QB who is slow to scan the field, and recognize coverages/openings... hm
  20. I've always liked their adjusted net yards/attempt. (* - career, ^ - 2014) EJ*: 5.07 Geno*: 4.60 Vick: 3.49 But, but... if a QB isn't a clear HoFer his first season, he's a bust!
  21. Honest question, why do a lot of people assume kids these days are seeking out "liberal arts" degrees? Are there numbers behind what degrees are most popular? I figured IT, medical, business, finance, etc would be most popular, since we are more of a white collar society these days.
  22. I'm hopeful, but I see much of the same problems that plagued this team last year. Good defense, and mediocre/bad offense. It really will depend on who we pick up in FA/draft on the offensive side, and if we maintain defensive quality by holding on to key players. At this point, it's really on the GM, if we're going to improve or not.
  23. Hate to see Schwartz go... I think his scheme fits our team better... but onward and forward, I suppose.
  24. Thanks for the writeup, I'm optimistic about it now.
