  1. Worst play call ever.
  2. I'd like it, sure. But in the real world where we have a salary cap, and bigger needs on the offensive side of the ball, I think it's unnecessary. If it happens, I won't complain though. I'd just rather see the money go towards offensive line, and hopefully picking up a decent vet QB, somehow. Edit: I'm admittedly ignorant on just how much cap room we have, especially if we re-sign Hughes, and extend Dareus.
  3. I think there might be a team or two that will over pay for him, but I also think we might be one of those teams. He meshes really well with this line, and I'm hoping the FO understands that this defense is all we have right now.
  4. I don't necessarily believe him, but I also believe in second chances/change of scenery. I'd give it a shot, why not.
  5. On one hand, the NFL doesn't want any more controversy.... On the other hand, the NFL could use a distraction from deflategate... Hmmmmm
  6. I like what Marshawn is doing, both on and off the field (er at least as far as the press, I know nothing outside of that). The NFL's stupid media rules are stupid, and the media is always looking to cause drama. Keep flipping them the bird, Marshawn.
  7. I don't know what to believe anymore. !@#$ it.
  8. Well? We know the NFL doesn't like when players speak freely... and in theory they shouldn't like their darling Patriots cheating... so who will end up with the bigger fine?
  9. EJ's technically played 15 games. 14 games where he started at QB, and one game where he took the team to victory formation, so didn't acquire any stats.
  10. The NFL won't let the Patriots win, it'll look too bad.
  11. This is just getting pathetic. First it was the weather. Then it was the prep process. And now it's a ball boy acting on his own. The NFL is throwing everything at the wall until something sticks that will free the Patriots of any wrongdoing.
  12. We have opinions based on the information given to us. I think it's pretty reasonable.
  13. I said a while back I'd be for him staying on as as assistant OC... he definitely had plays that got players open at times, and the package play concept works nicely when setup. BUT, he has terrible blocking and run schemes. He's a very young guy who needs experience play designing for the NFL. Unless... you know... all of the above is on Marrone, then !@#$ if I know what Hackett brings.
  14. Obviously you just find a guy and block him, and CJ will do the rest.
  15. A TE with concussion problems? Seems risky to me... TEs take a lot of damage.
  16. Have there been rule changes that have made it easier for kickers or something? If it's just the fact that kickers are better now than they used to be, I don't see a reason why it needs to be changed...
  17. We agree more than you think. There's varying levels of "wrong", and I certainly don't think Sammy is a Maybin level of "wrong"
  18. Chandler basically always gets open over the middle, and from what I can tell blocks decently... yet it's because he appears slow-ish, everyone here thinks he's crap. I didn't say he was good. I said he's solid. As in he's about average... he constantly gets open, is a mismatch problem, a good redzone target, and is an ok blocker. You don't replace someone like that, you complement. You replace Lee Smith, Gragg, or Gray. You keep productive players, and you add on top of that. This place drives me crazy, no one values depth.
  19. Chandler is a solid TE... Gragg wasn't really given the chance to shine... Gray might be something, who knows. Bring an established guy in, and let it shake out during the off season with a competent (hopefully) offensive staff.
  20. Am I the only one that didn't see EJ's season as bad as many write it up to be? He had two good games to start the season, then two horrible games, and was benched. The bad games were bad enough to bring the overall grade further down than it should... but I guess I'm a homer. Other than that, the writeup part is solid... the cold analytics fall short a little, but there is fan bias on my part.
  21. Ok, this is ridiculous. We don't have any idea of either player's ceilings at this point.
  22. Sounds like the Giants got lucky, then. Right *now* ODB is the greater value... costing less, and producing more. Maybe after a few years go by, the fortunes will change, but for right now, the Bills made the wrong choice, as usual. Hindsight being 20/20 and all. Please don't take this as me thinking Sammy sucks, he's damned good. Just right now, there's someone who is better. I'm glad to at least have the "consolation prize" of Sammy (and a hell of a consolation he is).
  23. It'll be hilarious if the NFL fines him, but takes no action against the Patriots.
