  1. 2013 - 4-6 (4-5 if you take out the Cleveland game) 2014 - 2-2 I think its doable, and reasonable.
  2. If he could just stay healthy, he'd be awesome. He showed us in his rookie year (when Stevie and Woods were out) that he has hands and route running capabilty, but Marrone/Hackett only used him to run fly routes most of the time. Throw a 4 WR set out there, and have Goodwin run something other than a fly route, use his speed to get separation over the middle of the field and room to run? This guy can change the game for us. So yeah, it all depends on if he can get healthy, and if we can actually use him correctly. I'm not confident in either.
  3. It really depends on what's considered a good season. In year three, with limited playing time in his first two years, I'm still going to expect to see some inconsistency, but *trending* towards better play. If we're sitting around expecting a pro-bowl year, then there's gonna be a lot of disappointment.
  4. When you look at his rookie year, and during various 2 minute drill sort of situations, you can see he plays with a lot more feel for the game. I completely agree that he's thinking too much, during much of the game... hopefully that's a sign of bad coaching, and not a long term problem for him.
  5. If he's an adult... "It's business, I don't take it personally"
  6. Maybe I'm being too optimistic, but I feel like Whaley wouldn't intentionally be petty like that, not when by all accounts Spikes loved playing here, and the team loved having him here. The league in general sees Spikes as a run stuffing specialist, it's not new news.
  7. I'd say that's honest and respectful more than anything. Spikes wants a full time role (and to be paid for it), we see him as a run stuffing specialist, and we have a spot for him if he's willing to take a paycheck for that.
  8. You're expecting us to get worse with a new (rich) owner, a better head coach, a better offensive coach, a returning Kiko, and likely not losing anyone too valuable (assuming we keep Hughes)? And that's before we even get to the draft, and possible FA acquisitions?
  9. http://teevine.com/product-category/qgy9ej5ttk/ They are having a sale, and if you try to browse away from the store, it'll give you $5 off shipping. Not a clue on if their products are quality or not, but I just ordered the below anyways
  10. Considering how much constant bickering there is about Lynch, multiple years after we traded him... I have to agree with YOLO
  11. The Lakers and the Clippers share a stadium in the same division in the NBA... it could work in the NFL as well. I'm sure the NFL would rather two stadiums be built though, for whatever selfish reasons.
  12. New owner, new spending habits... maybe? Hopefully?
  13. Indeed. And maybe the growth of our young guys too. But really, I hope we keep Spikes, he's wonderful at sniffing out runs, definitely could use him as a situational guy.
  14. If the team feels Duke can step up and fill the void, I'm ok with it. We still have Graham, who can play Safety in a pinch, plus I'm sure we can get a value pick/mid level depth FA pick up. As far as Spikes, I understand not keeping him, due to scheme... but I feel like he was the guy that came in and really changed the LB corps for us, maybe not through specific performance, but chemistry both on the field and in the lockerroom.
  15. It's really our most likely option.... the miracle of Manning, Brees, etc being here are slim chances. The mid level free agents out there are competition, that's about it. And if that competition is at all close, just give it to EJ for a season, see if he develops. If he doesn't, then we go into next year with a first round pick that we can spend on another QB.
  16. I'm surprised this thread isn't about EJ.
  17. Yeah, I think I'll just concede.... Hopefully Colt McKownford will get us to glory, I wish EJ the best of luck on his new team.
  18. Tell me where you disagree? We have a young guy with the physical and mental tools, and we have (insert mid level back up vet that is available to us), if both put out similar performances, why wouldn't you go with the younger guy who is more likely to improve, vs someone who is more likely plateued?
  19. To be clear, I'm not more interested in EJ than the Bills. I'm more interested in the Bills taking, what I believe is, the correct course in finding a franchise QB. EJ's "rookie" numbers and performances have been very similar to many starting caliber QBs during their introductery years, basically short of just Wilson (who, no offense, is lucky he's on a loaded Seattle squad) and Luck. Yet so many are clawing to have him benched... but for who? Some other risky rookie who would need to develop? Some mediocre backup? Seriously, unless we somehow land Manning or Brees, or something, no one else available is clearly above EJ's *current* performance, and EJ still has the ability to develop and get better, hence why I would support the Bills continuing to develop their young QB. If EJ comes out and stinks it up during the preseason (and no, not just the first few camps and first preseason game with a new offensive system), and one of our other guys is *clearly* better, then by all means sit EJ. But if EJ and no name mediocre vet are neck and neck, I give it to EJ, because EJ has a higher ceiling at the moment.
  20. So let me get this straight... The ball boy and the NFL conspired to set the Patriots up?
  21. The Buffalo way of giving up on young QBs really early, random benching, bringing in mediocre re-treads, etc is not the way to get yourself a franchise player. If the Bills truly are done with EJ, I hope the next guy they draft they give a full three seasons to develop.
  22. I kinda feel bad for RG3... I mean some things are his fault... but he'd be so much better off in another organization.
  23. Not nuts at all. We are in dire need of a big athletic target... whether it be WR or TE. Someone of that physical nature would help EJ out tremendously (or whomever our QB is). The only question is... will his talents translate to the NFL, but that's how it is for just about any draft pick.
