  1. I grew up in San Diego, and the fan base is loyal, but they don't go to games really... there's "better" things to do, so to speak. The fans would be bummed if the Chargers left, but they also aren't going to dole out billions to keep them there. It's a different environment. That being said, moving two-three hours up the road won't change a whole lot, I don't think... but Los Angeles Chargers sounds wrong. I do, however, hope the Rams move back to LA.
  2. Most definitely not. He's a huge question mark. But so are our other options, and so are the upcoming rookies. EJ still has what is needed on paper, and we theoretically have a better offensive coaching staff now. Who knows, really.
  3. Between this and the Bradford discussion, it's quite clear that there is bias in terms of who is allowed to develop, and who is not.
  4. 58.1% over the season Games 1-8: 60.5% Games 9-16: 55.7% Throws < 10 yards: 39.5%
  5. I like that Bradford started out meh (worse than EJ), got a little worse (worse than EJ) his second season, got better the next couple of seasons, and now he's a proven commodity. Funny what development will do.
  6. To be a legit contender? I'd say top 15. To be in the playoff hunt? Top 25. (among all NFL starters, not just AFC)
  7. Unless EJ makes quite the jump, we're probably not gonna hit that mark anytime soon
  8. That's basically how I feel... he's a captain of the team, great guy, does a lot of things well... but he's not much of a runner anymore (or at least wasn't last season), even if he did gain the most yards, his ypc was pretty poor, and frankly the eye test didn't show burst very often. In the perfect world, we'd keep him as our second back, and either Brown goes to 1st string, or we find someone cheap to be productive. But I could definitely see the Bills cut Fred, have Brown as #1 or #2, and either signing a FA, or drafting a guy to go along with Dixon in completing the unit. Saved money could be used to shore up the line, throw towards the defense, go after a TE, etc. It really depends on how close we get to the cap looking to improve the team elsewhere. I'd hope, that if he is cut, Fred would be a last ditch cap casualty, unlike say, Rivers (who sucks, and is already cut).
  9. Dick move by the Colts, if true.
  10. I think we all know ODJ will be Elite
  11. This is a great point. I'm not convinced Fred will be very useful going forward. He has heart, he has drive, but he's yet another year older... MAYBE if blocking gets better, he'll resurface as a solid back, but still not the guy I want to lean on all game. I'd like to see Brown get a chance, and I'd like to either see us go after someone like Ingram, or draft one of the better RBs.
  12. CJ dark green or blue would be too high... at least under Marrone.
  13. The NFL will punish the ball boy, not the Patriots, or the coach. Let's not kid ourselves.
  14. Right, I agree with that... but Fred's performance hasn't been starting caliber as of late. I love the guy, but he's old and not very productive at this point in his career.
  15. I'm clearly biased, I see a bunch of guys rated about one level too low... as it is, that roster looks like a pretty bad team, ouch.
  16. Ugh, I'd hate to cut Fred... but at his age... and the availability of a couple decent backs out there... I could see it. Maybe I'm ignorant, but I think Urbik is better than Williams :|
  17. Who do you propose is guaranteed good enough to get us over the hump, since EJ is not the QB we're looking for?
  18. I wonder what other team's fans think of EJ... to me it seems like Bills fans are quick to call players busts (hell, even some suggested Watkins is crazy enough), but give other teams players a really long rope.
  19. Why are people flipping out about this? He's probably competing with Tuel more than he is for the starting job, sheesh. We won't know for a while what is available or not in terms of starting caliber QBs.
  20. Seriously? That one INT doesn't happen, we win that game and he starts the year 3-1... c'mon now.
  21. I think there's about a 0.0001% chance of it happening, but it's fun to think about The offseason is long.
  22. "We're playing ball control, that's why I punted it from the opponents' 3 yard line" - Saint Marrone
  23. How about you give us Rodgers, so that we can get over the hump. kthx
  24. It's not even just this President, but the previous ones as well... we've had some sort of war in the middle east for quite some time. Just feels like lobbyists pushing for this stuff to give us a reason to buy more weapons.
