  1. He'd have to do something really terrible to not make the team.
  2. Yes, a guy who calls EJ a woman actually wants EJ to succeed... ok.....
  3. Looks like we lost again, thanks media!
  4. If for whatever reason he refuses to suit up for us, you trade him for whatever you can get. If he happens to get us a first and a fourth, then awesome. But I highly doubt anyone will offer us more than just a fourth.
  5. Yup, the guys here have eased my concerns about all that!
  6. Better OC, improved line, a new playmaker in McCoy... my confidence is rising that EJ can get it done... they're doing a good job of building up around the QB position right now.
  7. Oh, yeah, McCoy would be stupid to pass up the guaranteed money extension, and if he does, no loss for us. Good on Doug for pulling this off if it goes through. I'm not overly worried, just to be clear. Just a tad uncomfortable with his $10m hit this year... but others have walked me back from that ledge My concern is that we have some young guys on our team that we want to lock up in the near future.
  8. What's his contract like right now? All I know is ~$10m this year, and something unguaranteed and lesser in following years? Is he on a 3 year deal currently? (Sorry if this was posted, but this thread is long haha)
  9. So would such a situation be giving him a couple million less this year, but some guaranteed in 2016-2017? I'm assuming we'd have to offer a decent amount of guaranteed cash for him to take it.
  10. We have an estimated $22m left over AFTER McCoy and taking into account rookie signings. So that $3.5 mil is already taken care of. http://www.spotrac.com/research/nfl/updated-projected-cap-space-for-all-2015-nfl-teams-503/
  11. Assuming Roman's play designs are better, we should have some pretty successful play action passes
  12. Every time I go to another team's fan forum, I get a new appreciation for the folks who run, maintain, and organize this place.
  13. I have a feeling it's going to depend on need, and who's healthy. Brown is more like McCoy in how he runs, imo... while FredEx and Boobie are more the bruiser/tough yard guys, especially since Fred has been focusing on strength the last couple of seasons.
  14. Very good points
  15. I hope the #billsmafia comes out in huge support, blow up his twitter with positive vibes. There has been plenty of players that were hesitant about playing for Buffalo until they saw what our fan base is like.
  16. I think it's even... not on players, but net benefit. Philly unloaded a cap hit that it didn't really want to deal with anymore considering their roster and future plans, and also got a promising young LB to help their defensive aspirations. Bills got a big time play maker who is more dependable than the one who just exited (CJ). Win/Win... which is probably why the trade was made.
  17. I'm assuming a QB would be one of the $4-5m guys, no? Unless we clear space, I doubt we can re-sign Hughes, and pick up Sanchez (assuming he's the highest paid of the group)
  18. Not that it means anything, but Boobie is apparently flying to Buffalo this morning.
  19. Let's see... $8-9m for Hughes A couple mid level $4-5m guys A couple depth guys at $1-2m Leaves us $0 - 4m left for rolling over into next year?
  20. I was thinking this might happen earlier in the offseason if we picked up a decent runner... I'd like to keep FredEx because he's one of my favorites... but being objective about it, I could see him being a cap casualty. Hopefully if it happens, we turn around and offer him a position on the staff heh.
  21. I can't possibly read through all of this... has this been confirmed, or is it all rumor still?
  22. My only reservation is his cap hit. Otherwise I'm in!
  23. I like the trade, just not McCoy's cap hit. Hopefully we keep Hughes on board some how too!
  24. The upcoming Bush v Clinton Presidental run is going to be such a joy.
