  1. If true, this I did not know.
  2. I'm not suggesting why it won't go through, seems most people are pretty sure it is going through.. just curious what's going on in addition to the Kiko - McCoy swap... whether it's contract, or are there picks involved, etc.
  3. Then why have the Bills announced the Cassel trade and not the McCoy trade?
  4. So has there been any update on this? I feel like there's been a whole lot of nothing about this since the rumors were announced. Neither team has officially announced anything. But media is talking like it's a sure thing. Are there actual contract negotiations happening? Is that what's holding up officially?
  5. *Will* he? Who knows. *Can* he? Yes, I believe he has the capability to do so in the right situation, with proper development.
  6. This is such a good point. Now we don't have to worry (as much) about getting a guy we might be aiming for in FA (if we even cared about anyone outside of Cassel that much). No competition, we got "our guy" we can focus on whatever the hell we want now. I know a lot of people here are looking to bring in another FA, but frankly I think we'll head into camp with Cassel, EJ, Tuel, and a draft pick. Three will stick with the team (likely to be Cassel, EJ, and said draft pick).
  7. You know, that's not so bad, he seems to be in good spirits about it, good for him
  8. Please tell me there's a link...
  9. Wait, CJ was on TV when the NFLN announced it??
  10. Yet at the same time, the Bills official sites announced the Cassel trade... so I think this trade is still very much in the works, and could possibly fall apart, otherwise they'd be plastering it all over the place, no?
  11. I keep forgetting Brown is MLB, not Kiko/Spikes, whoops
  12. They have about $17.7m to work with, and that's after estimated rookie signings. Our "only" areas of need are another OG, and a MLB. I think we're in good shape, to fill both holes with mid level talent, and to re-sign Hughes.... that's without making any cap cuts yet.
  13. I will say it's interesting that none of the official Bills social media sites has anything on this. Guessing it's not done yet?
  14. Not quite true, we haven't re-signed/replaced Spikes yet. I'm assuming its in the cards, though, with this trade.
  15. http://www.spotrac.com/research/nfl/updated-projected-cap-space-for-all-2015-nfl-teams-503/ Sportrac has us at a projected $17.7 m in cap space, post Cassel trade. At the very least, I hope whomever is starting next year plays to win, vs playing to protect themselves in retirement (which is selfish, I know).
  16. This makes me really nervous to see what happens on March 10th Good on Doug though, he's working the system trying to plug holes, it's exciting. Hopefully it all translates into a playoff appearance finally!
  17. He won when managing games for good teams, that's the best we can expect out of QBs available to us.
  18. We're certainly being aggressive so far. Will be interesting to see what happens when free agency/the new season officially starts!
  19. Yeah, looking at this from 2012 (sample stats) https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2012/10/25/snapshot-play-action-passing/ It's interesting seeing some QBs get much better, and some get much worse, with play action. The curiosity might get to me, and cost me $9 for a month
  20. Damn, looks like Pro Football Focus has it as one of their premium stats, but I do not have a subscription... Does anyone? I'm curious!
  21. You know... now I'm curious... wonder if there's splits for that (not saying you're right or wrong, just genuinely curious...) TO THE INTERNET
  22. Personally, I think Philly is a cool place. Has a lot of character, and art, it's not super expensive. Sure some parts have a lot of crime, but that is true for almost any major city.
  23. That'd qualify as terrible, considering the QBs available to us.
