    Yup, as long as we improve our offense, we'll continue to head in the right direction, and hopefully see success next year. Of course, this is all assuming we don't make it this year, which I'm still hopeful will happen.

    Who knew using the playoffs as a benchmark for success would be so controversial. I'm glad we're heading in the right direction, but post season will always be what I'm looking for, guess I'll just have to agree to disagree with you guys.

    Not miserable, just have a different outlook. The goal is Super Bowl for every team at the beginning of the year. You can't win the Super Bowl by missing the playoffs. We're going in the right direction, but it's still a failed season if we miss the playoffs.

    Sadly, yes. NFC South team has a chance to win the Super Bowl, while we (if we miss the playoffs), sit at home watching.

    When you miss the only important part of the season, getting a bunch of wins is kinda pointless.... I'm tired of "feel good/moral victories".

    Anything less than the playoffs is a failure, and more of the same, for me.

    I don't think he'd be any better here than he was on the Jets. Good for him, finding a competent coaching staff, though.

    Hey, you don't have to convince me, I just have no problems with "experts" taking a "chance" on the Raiders, due to their recent home history.

    I don't have any problem with someone picking the Raiders... they've won their last two home games, against teams which match the Bills in talent.

    I hope Hackett has him run some routes, and Orton recognizes when he's inevitably wide open against some poor LB.

    Are any of the current HCs that are on hotseats, formerly successful OCs? Schwartz was a crap head coach but is proving to be pretty good as a DC. It'd be wonderful to find similar sort of success on the offensive side.
