  1. you sound like a winner, and your 50 year old wife is one lucky woman
  2. great post, couldnt agree more i dont worship Doug and also question some things he does/doesnt do/says/doesnt say but the bottom line is this team has been in position to win almost every game this year (Not the Pats, and the chargers I could go either way on) and its come down to almost 100 percent player execution....he gets a pass for last season because it was year 1 in the system for players and year 1 for the coaching staff to turn around a down trodden, hang your heads franchise....this year is the improvement year and hopefully show us the baby....year three is where I expect playoffs and continued success (not that that cannot begin this year) - but some people are freaking unrealistic and unbelievable thanks again for that post
  3. I'm on episode four of season 1 - love it! How many eps are in season 2 - just another 6?
  4. Oh I must have missed that in the thread - my apologies Agree about poorly portrayed on the show....even having him stumble in on the group of guys around his wife/daughter and then showing his face, then back to real time, next flash back showing them all dead like they did and him bloody, next flash back his terrified family cowering from him- something more than what they did The past two eps have been major let downs after the beginning of this season - almost feels like same ole walking dead now....they just let some story lines linger too much, but then again, I don't want it to turn into sons of anarchy rapid chase scenes and violence and then music montage every episode because that gets repetitive - there has to be a happy medium
  5. According to a friend who reads the comics - Abraham went out on a supply run, and all the people in the store raped his wife and daughter and he comes back and goes beast mode and violently kills all the men - and his family, instead of being grateful, are scared of who he has become and leave home.....I hope they get eaten horribly by walkers
  6. New bar/rest in harbor center DT buffalo
  7. Pre game cigar and scotch Game is My living room....my wife will be making Thai noodles, and a broccoli, sweet potato and salmon Thai fry I will wash it down with some apple pie in a jar (aka blackout juice, but not too much so I don't black out) and sierra Nevada celebration And the bills will stomp the life out of the fish
  8. irrelevant bc none of us going to the bar after tailgating have any stake in said relationship - so it wont ruin my good time, and will give us talking points for commercials/halftime/after the game gets to be 86-0 Bills...
  9. looks like a tiny little thing, why are we worried about this?
  10. this I agree with completely...nice post and my bottom line is, im waiting until the seasons over before I pass judgement on Marrone regime....two years, isnt A LOT of time in the NFL regardless
  11. yea what I see here is a bunch of coaches that failed and we bailed...that is EXACTLY the lack on continuity I was referring to...giving a guy 2-3 years and bailing when they fail (but HAVE shown some modicum of success) is not continuity and has been a major contribution to lack of success and certainly not sustained success over the past decade plus... im not making the case for keeping any of those particular guys - thats an argument for another day - im making the case for keeping the regime we currently have if we finish this season with a winning record, thats the goal in the NFL - to win games....its proven very difficult to do when you keep changing over the system/coaches there havent been instances HERE where we have had a coaching change and minor tweaks, its all system overhaul....which has contributed to the terrible play on the field for the past decade.... any "big name" coach that people are clamoring for would certainly be bringing in overhaul and not just "tweaking" the system... if it works (at the end of the year, lets judge) im advocating for keeping the regime in place....and really, even if we finish at 7-9, i THINK im still in favor of giving it another year to see if they can show the baby
  12. pretty much perfect analysis and yes 10 wins will probably be good enough for WC spot...how often has a 10 win team NOT made the playoffs? (honest question and im too lazy to look it up, but im sure its not often)
  13. What your "missing" is the wide held NFL belief that continuity breeds success....firing your staff after every three years (or worse, 2) predictably leads to disaster in the NFL.... Even "bad" coaches can build winning teams for years....they need a chance to have players playing in the same systems on offense and defense so they can add nuances to both that players can understand and handle...which leads to wins Wins leads to confidence, and that leads to more wins Constant turnover leads to learning and thinking instead of playing and reacting....I've seen enough things of Marrone that I like (accountability, the right attitude of "show me the baby", getting most players to buy in) that makes me want to continue this direction (he is by no means the best coach or anywhere near the best coach in the league - but continuity trumps all)
  14. Quit making sense!!!! Haters of marrone just wanna hate hate hate
  15. Thanks for these - big tree seems pretty small from me memory....do all of these places meet the qualification of having a "good game day experience" or are they just good bars with good beer/food? Have you any experience with Buffalos Best Grill?
  16. For various reasons, going into the game is not an option
  17. Friends of mine are getting engaged during bills tailgate during the Jets game next weekend - some of us are just going for the tailgate to celebrate with them (and because it's bills tailgate) and are looking to see if there's any bills bars with good atmosphere (you know, where everyone is there for the game), good food and better beer to go and actually watch the game...the only place I know if is right across from the Ralph at corner of Abbott and southwestern and I don't think I want to go there.... Any ideas? Otherwise were gonna end up at Ebeneezers - which is a great restaurant/bar but I doubt it'll be like a true "bills game day" experience there..... Thanks fans
  18. or we might turn out to be one of those "good teams who start to make a playoff push"....guess we will find out in the next three weeks which we truly are....hard to think were not in the "good team" bunch considering how we just dominated a supposedly good Chief team, only to choke it away with fumbles and poor execution....
  19. Russell's is a great steak and overall restaurant experience in WNY dont like the chop house really at all best steak was the Mario Williams order at Tempo....big ass bone in rib eye, and what Mario ordered when he was wooed to our beloved Bills
  20. im guessing it happens close to every year....still have 7 games left, lotssss of time for separation to happen, which it will....we just gotta worry about getting to 10 wins
  21. well theres certainly a chance another team gets to 10-6, which is fine, because then we would both get the WC spots....now if THREE teams get to 10-6 we will most likely get screwed....but whens the last time three 10-6 teams finished for WC spots?
  22. thats really cute
  23. Preach it brother Sucks we lost a game we otherwise dominated It's a daunting schedule ahead - but it's that way every week in the nfl - if we rip off three straight wins and some other AFC teams lose - the tune changes Hang in there true fans, a lot of season left, starting with a game we cannot afford to lose on Thursday night
  24. two things - I never watched deadwood but ive heard its awesome....its not on netflix though...worth buying? second - school season is awesome, but I think im partial to season 3...it seemed like the "most gangster" of seasons...and i could be partial to it because that was the season that I started watching the show
