  1. This thread is gold, jerry! Gold!
  2. I think what he was saying, and does actually say, is that he watched the film and saw what many of us have been seeing and talking about - its not that EJ didnt make the right reads, or stand in the pocket, he WAS doing those things...the kid just cant throw a football anywhere near his targets....theres no stats or numbers or arguments to be made....it IS evident on the all22 film, did you watch it?? What the guy posted is a great contribution and its not hijacking the thread at all Some of what Jeremy White makes sense and rings true, and we are all appreciative of his hard work in putting this together....but some of us also watch the all22, and happen to disagree with White in the regard that he thinks Orton "reads the defense quicker" and "stands in the pocket longer"...what Orton DEFINITELY brought, because his teammates have said so, was a confident demeanor that many veteran QBs have and our offense picked up on, hence everyone playing better around him, and after the pick 6, much more accurate throws/taking chances than EJ can even dream of right now You can disagree or agree, but you shouldn't have to try to make other posters feel like a$$holes for voicing their own opinions about the topic (snide/sarcastic comments at the end of your post)
  3. yea some of our group will do fishing, I might sit on the boat and drink beer, but I dont really fish....although I have been telling myself for years it would be cool to get into For 1000 islands....any places anyone recommends to rent boats? not like a charter, but we actually found a big house that is on its own island, and we want to rent a boat to dock at the island for the weekend...but none of us have a boat, theres gotta be good places that rent boats by the day...anyone know of any of these? I have googled a few but would prefer a place that someone vouches for
  4. Thanks gug, PM sending now - keep the info coming gents!
  5. haha, no, I just capitalized it because thats the part of this trip I care most about - the ACTUAL GOLFING, not the strippers...no code BB, dont read too much into things brother
  6. I have a couple friends getting married next year and we are looking into weekend get a ways to either the 1000 islands or to the Adirondacks for their bachelor parties... has anyone ever rented a big house (12-15 peopleish) in either of these two areas before? Any recommendations on sites to look at for properties (I know only of VRBO)? Anyone have friends/relatives who own places that rent them out? Any ideas of things to do in the area? good bars? restaurants? GOLF COURSES? I have no experience in either of these areas so any info would be greatly appreciated fellas!
  7. I'd be more interested in what Genghis or Kublai think of the issue than this clown I wanna party with this guy, said no one ever
  8. How is EJ going to learn how to accurately throw a football while sitting on the bench?? I was an EJ supporter through and through - but we have all seen the guy really can't hit the broad side of a barn....yes he made like two great throws (chandler sideline catch and Watkins should have been 40 yard td broken up by Miami DB) but I'm thinking those were luck when you compare them to the rest of the trash he put out there QBs sit and learn when they can't read defenses, find the hot reads or open guys, or don't understand an offense - these have not been EJs issues, he has found the open guys and knows the offense, he just can't put the ball anywhere near his targets So please - I could be ignorant, but how is his woeful accuracy ever going to get fixed by sitting and "learning" under Orton? Back to the original post - Orton COULD be the answer for the next several seasons, but let's hope we are smart this time and draft a guy to replace him (ala Aaron Rodgers) - but that guy most likely won't come from this draft class, weak for project QBs
  9. Well let's say Orton does well and leads us to the playoffs this year - he has to start next season, but we won't be developing anyone behind him (unless it's EJ still) - there aren't any "projects" in this nfl draft class - there's a couple first rounders and then a bunch of trash
  10. jesus, great point....I am terrified of heights (like, my balls hurt when I look UP at tall buildings from the street) and that escalator does things to me man, baaaddd things
  11. I like that is also shows our best linemen (you know, NOT THE OGs) absolutely handling their men, thus creating the perfect pocket stupid Pears
  12. no bad seats at all, ive sat in the very last row of the 300s, and I usually sit in section 107, both are equally great experiences.....buy em cheap and you will have a great time none the less...sounds like a damn fun weekend ya got going for ya...
  13. Well said and I couldn't agree more - a win is hugeeeeee and a loss, while it hurts, does not mean our end goal is out of reach - playoffs and even winning the division is still very attainable But boy sitting 4-2 alone atop the division, with a "soft" part of our schedule coming up - that would feel and look real solid
  14. I will pay you to NOT go to the game on Sunday
  15. yea Browner came from Seattle....he was solid for them, but he got suspended by the league for substance abuse and let go by seattle (if I remember correctly) - he could most definitely have an impact as one would assume he knows the defensive playbook now - unfortunate timing for us, but maybe we benefit because he will be rusty and not up to game speed as always, this game will be won and lost on both sides of the trenches....we look to have the upper hand on both sides of the line however, with Chandler Jones still being eased back in from injury, and their DTs being NOTHING CLOSE to what we have experienced the past few weeks....maybe our OG's actually look like they are decent to bad players (rather than god awful) this week....and if I were the Patriots, I would obviously be very worried about containing our D-line, I would expect a heavy dose of two TE formations and max protects by the Patriots this weekend
  16. its already been mentioned in the thread...Wood is highly thought of around the league by both front offices and by players that go against him...the guy is a solid NFL center and gets the respect he warrants from them.... now hack writers and nerds on message boards, THEY criticize because they are ignorant
  17. Ron Brooks tweeted that hes up and walking on his own...great news
  18. Good call - thanks for clarifying And I agree about the BN bit - I'll have to go read some of MF's coverage and see what he's all about
  19. Is this the guy who was chosen to start covering the bills recently? Back in the beginning of summer some guy from that paper came around and asked people to submit resumes and samples of writing and such...just wondering if he was the guy that was chosen.....
  20. I wonder when the Binghamton area stopped broadcasting bills games - I grew up in that area and I always was able to watch bills games
  21. oh I completely understand why they would have originally scheduled that game on TV my point was about having the ability to put the best CURRENT matchups on tv (the Flex scheduling is a good step in that direction)...who the hell wants to watch the Jets get whooped up on by the Chargers?
  22. Jets as potential wild card team???? lol
  23. I dont get the jims steakout love 10 years ago the subs were delicious now they are tiny and very underwhelming, id take a wegmans sub over Jims 10 times out of 10... As far as subs go though....the best sub I ever had was from a place in Delaware by UD campus...called Cleveland Ave Subs ( MAYBE? cleveland def. in the title)...biggest, most delicious turkey sub the world has ever known, makes a wegmans large look like a small...unfortunately the place has since closed so no one else will ever get the experience
  24. Jets vs San Diego - thank god we get to watch that **** show eh? they need to do a better job of having better 1 oclock/ 4 oclock games...I dont care what coast the games are on, lets see better games!
  25. THIS but really....theres just no need for Brown...RIGHT NOW... he is insurance, we have capable backs ahead of him, and one with almost the exact skill set (just most explosive) in Spiller...chances are we do not resign spiller, and that is where Brown will come in to play...his muscles arent atrophying on the bench lol, hes learning the playbook, practicing and soaking it all in Look at the positives, less wear and tear for next year
