  1. Difference is that Chaisson is only 20 years old and was trending up in production at the end of the year.
  2. Of that list, I think Chaisson as he will be drafted mostly on potential, not production. Still, he is young (not 21 until July), reportedly a hard worker and has all the physical tools to be very good.
  3. THIS is the point - at least in my opinion. I don’t think they would take RB in round 2 unless they feel that the RBs are graded at or very near the top of their board of remaining players. I think that is fairly likely to be the case. If there are players at other positions, particularly DE or CB that they rate equal to or higher than the available RBs, then I think they will take the DE or CB. I do not think that they will take a WR in round 2, even if graded highly unless they are graded SO much higher than other positions that they just can’t avoid picking him. That would be equivalent to trading up in round 1 for WR (Diggs) and then taking WR again in round 2.
  4. Agreed. I think that they'd have at least gotten Yeldon on the field for some plays if they really liked his game that much.
  5. I think that they continued to play Gore because: 1. Deference to his leadership and his long and highly productive career - I think this was a very big consideration for them. 2. Ball security - when they were in position to want to eat time, Gore was the guy they handed it to because he rarely fumbled.
  6. I can see maybe 3rd. I don’t think he at is at the level of Taylor, Edwards-Helaire, Dobbins or even Akers. I do think he is considerably better than AJ Dillon. Just my opinion and while I love following the draft, I am certainly not qualified to claim any scouting expertise.
  7. What am I missing when I watch Moss? I have watched a number of his full game videos and he strikes me as “OK”, but not special. 3rd or 4th round maybe?
  8. I would rather have Michael Pittman, but really can’t see the Bills taking a WR in 2nd after trading their 1st for Diggs.
  9. The folks discussing a RB are looking not for a “feature” back to get 20 carries a game, but a very good RB to split touches about evenly with Singletary. I’m not a big fan of Dillon. He isn’t horrible, but there is a reason that you will likely see him last until round 4 and that is that he is pretty much one dimensional and he will have more trouble running over NFL defenders than he did against weaker college defenders.
  10. I agree with the need/desire to find a DE, but who is it that will be available at DE at pick 54 that you think is worth taking there? This comment is not aimed at anyone in particular, but there are A LOT of posts saying that they would rather have a DE in round 2 over the likely handful of top RBs that could be there like Edwards-Helaire, possibly Taylor or Dobbins or Akers, but few of these posts say what DEs they think are worth the 54th pick. I think most here would agree that if the prospects are comparable in grades on the Bills’ board then they should lean toward the more premium position of DE. However, I don’t expect equivalent talent at DE to be available compared to other positions. Maybe Greenard or Cutis Weaver or Julian Okwara will be available and maybe then Bills grade them highly, but this looks like a bad year to be trying to find a DE unless you can get Chase Young.
  11. I wonder how they would fit as well. If the idea is to add them and play 2 LBs frequently using their size/speed either in secondary or LB to help disguise defense, it makes some sense. But, to me I think it is more likely that they will look for a CB than a big safety if they make a pick in the secondary. Duggar and Chin are both outstanding testing athletes, but from a lower level of competition that you really need to project how they will pan out in the NFL.
  12. Oh man, he was a monster - I remember watching him play back in the era of dominant Centers in the NBA.
  13. In the years that you cited, the Bills had considerably more “draft capital” than they do this year. I do expect them to try to trade up using their 5th and later picks, but I don’t expect a big move up in the 2nd because I don’t think they will want to give up their 3rd to do so. i can see sitting where they are in the 2nd and maybe moving up a bit in round 3 or trying for a big move up in round 4. There may be some guys left to start day 3 that are really sticking out on their board - perhaps at WR, RB or maybe CB that they might be willing to part with their 5th, 6th and 7th for.
  14. They have been picking later than the Bills in each round. That make it harder to find good players. Expect the Bills to have more misses now that they are picking in the back 1/3 of rounds.
  15. I’d root for him to succeed if the Bills draft him, but I don’t think he will be taken before round 5. I’m no expert, that is for sure, it’s just my opinion based on watching him play a few games, his athletic testing scores, size and what I’ve read. watch him vs Wisconsin’s OL - both of their OTs handled him
  16. I love Willekes’ story of walk-on to college star, but I don’t know if he is any more than a fringe NFL player.
  17. If you are looking for size, my preference would be Pittman over Claypool. Doesn’t mean I’m right, but I am not that high on Claypool.
  18. So, who is the good edge prospect? Do they think enough of Okwara or Greenard to take them there? I think that Anae and Weaver were highly productive, but don’t look like the kind of athlete that would warrant that high a pick. I do think they could find a good CB prospect there.
  19. I like Kmet - he showed up more than Claypool did in the games that I was watching specifically to see Claypool. But if you are looking to add dynamic offensive weapons, I don’t see him as that. He looks like a good chain moving receiver, though.
  20. Butler’s DL coach In Carolina (Eric Washington) is here now and I assume that they would have asked his opinion before signing Butler. They must see upside or a better scheme fit here to entice them to bring him here.
  21. No doubt that McFarland is fast, but is is quite small - not just short. He weighs a respectable 208, but I didn't see any power or ability to break any tackles (avoiding a tackle is different, but he is not as "shifty" as Singletary, IMHO). I think it would be a mistake to take McFarland before round 4, but that is only my opinion. I'm not in the camp that thinks we need a big powerful, less-quick guy like Dillon or Moss, but I think pairing Singletary with If there is a WR that is TRULY standing out on their board so far that it is a no-brainer, then I could understand that. I understand that it is a deep class and there might be someone that you just can't say no to sitting there. In my opinion, I don't think Shenault or Higgins would be so highly rated that they would feel that way, but maybe they like them or Reagor, Mims or Hamler enough to pull the trigger if they are there.
  22. For sure, I don’t know what he will do. I agree that a trade up is pretty likely at some point in the draft.
  23. I think Higgins’ pretty poor athletic testing would be a big concern for me, but his production was certainly very good. I’m just not a Shenault fan - to me he is an athlete without developed skill at any position and he is coming off surgery, so no chance for him to address concerns over his speed from the combine and his injury history is a risk. I know that some people really like him and I could certainly be wrong. Out of curiosity, why would you advocate for another WR in round 2 when they already essentially used their 1st on Stefon Diggs and have good 2 & 3 options in Brown and Beasley? I can’t see a WR getting more playing time than another RB to pair with Singletary. To be clear, I would only take a RB in round 2 if I thought that they were better prospects than could be had at DE and maybe CB, but I do think that is likely how it will fall.
  24. I don’t think he will have to trade up to get a very good RB. I think one of the top 5 (6 if you like Moss) will be there at 54. In my opinion save the trade up for round 4 where you might still have a very good WR prospect still around
  25. I think it comes down to who is available at RB and who is available at more “valued” positions like DE, CB and OT. We won’t know how the draft will fall until it is in progress, but there is at least a reasonable chance that one of the very good RBs will be available (CEH, Dobbins, Akers, maybe even Taylor) - if the Bills have them rated considerably higher than any of the remaining DE or OT - are you advocating that they reach for a lower graded player at a more valued position? I agree that DE is a more valuable position and is a long-term need, but I suspect that there might be good CBs that may be graded close to the RBs, but not likely DE or OT.
