  1. These points are why it is SO difficult to assess QB prospects. It is very difficult to tell who can process information quickly and make best decisions when some are sitting behind almost NFL quality OLs throwing to top level Pro WRs while others are running for their lives trying to make plays to midling WRs from a trailing position in many games that allows defenses to tee of on them.
  2. Yes and probably still available at 55.
  3. I think that Mack is considerably better than Ngakoue.
  4. Bandit - you have Jonathan Greenard like 3 rounds higher than any ratings I’ve seen. He is enticing off the three games I watched and the Bills could surely use help there, but what is it that has most others targeting him as 3rd round or later?
  5. I’m happy that he feels enough conviction and has enough confidence to pull the trigger on going to get players that he wants. That being said, he had SIGNIFICANTLY more “draft capital” to work with in the previous 2 drafts. I do think he will try to use 5th-7th round picks to move up in the 3rd or 4th round. I don’t think he will want to part with his 3rd or 4th to move up in round 2, but I would trust his judgment if he does.
  6. They could be interested in either of them, but I’ll be surprised if they move up very far in 2nd - I really think they will not want to part with their 3rd or 4th picks.
  7. Agreed. I want the Bills basically to pick the player that they rate highest mostly regardless of position played. If there are multiple equally rated players at different positions, then by all means consider need/roster building/potential future cost-cutting options. If BPA is a RB, then I hope they take him, if it is another position pick that position.
  8. I don't think anyone is advocating reaching for a RB. I think the basic premise that the "pick RB" group is arguing is that it is pretty likely that one of the top 5 RBs (Swift, Taylor, Edwards-Helaire, Dobbins, Akers) is available at 54 and that they could very well be BPA at that point. I don't think anyone is saying that they MUST pick a RB in 2nd or 3rd just to get one.
  9. Understood and agree. It is a rank order of the prospects - albeit without ability to tell how big of a gap/dropoff he perceives between players. One takeaway is that it looks like he has a big gap between the top Edge players and the next group. He has Anae, Weaver and Taylor between 75 and 90ish with Okwara and Greenard further down.
  10. Would he play nickel DB or as a LB in those sets? I don’t know that I’d want to see him trying to cover Julian Edelman or someone similar. If the idea is as hybrid DB-LB for defensive flexibility, I could see it. I think given his age (24) and level of competition, Duggar is going to be drafted lower than many have speculated. Of course, I could be very wrong about that...
  11. Can he play OLB - i’ve seen him mainly listed at inside?
  12. Can Wilson play outside LB? I’ve seen him listed mainly as an inside backer.
  13. Jeremiah was a scout and is pretty connected with the league. He released his top 150 today and it is pretty interesting - some players listed considerably lower and others higher than we’ve seen to date: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001110012/article/daniel-jeremiahs-top-150-prospects-in-the-2020-nfl-draft-class
  14. By same token, how does idea of another safety differ? They have 2 good starting S.
  15. Thank you - always enjoy your insights along with Gunner’s, Bandit’s, 716 and others that do their own evaluations.
  16. I have to think that scouting was done before trading for Diggs. I suspect that the trade changes their priorities some wrt WR.
  17. If he can carry enough weight to be 245-250 without losing speed/quickness, he could be very interesting. If he has to play OLB, then you would probably not re-sign Milano and play Uche in his place, but that feels like a lateral move with a step up in pass rushing. 6’1” is not typical height for a DE, but his arms are not too short.
  18. Uche is really fast, but where would you play him? He really isn’t big/strong enough to play 4-3 DE is he? If you play him at LB, do you take Milano or Edmunds off the field for the large % of plays that they go with 2 LBs? Is he just a situational pass rusher in that case?
  19. Dugger will be 4 years older as a rookie than Tremaine Edmunds was.
  20. O.J. Simpson was 6’1”
  21. If they can nab him at the bottom of the third, it would seem like a nice pick. He may be a nice pairing with Singletary. i would be less enthusiastic if they took him at 54, but could possibly understand it. I do like him better than A.J. Dillon. I think Moss is a decent combination of power and a bit of elusiveness. I just don’t see any elusiveness in Dillon and sledgehammer-only backs rarely are more than middling role players in today’s NFL. Dillon at pick 128 would be OK, but I think 3rd is too high for him - if someone else values him higher ok by me if they take him.
  22. I’m not a Gibson hater, per se, but EVERYONE’S highlights look great. That is why they are highlights.
  23. But Lewis has a worrisome injury history and wasn’t super productive at Bama. I wouldn’t hate the pick, but I think that there will be better prospects available at pick 54. Above all else, I don’t want them to convince themselves that a DE is close to BPA just because they could use youth at the position. If they are convinced that one is close to BPA, then by all means draft him.
  24. I think it will be very surprising if more than 4 picks make the roster. The Bills’ roster is the best that it has been in a long time, they are picking in the back 1/3 of each round and 3 of their 7 picks are in round 6-7 where you are just hoping to find someone who can play. Their two 6th rounders and 7th rounders together are not worth a lot of trade value. In my opinion, those are best bundled in trade to move up in 4th or 5th round for someone who has a chance to make the roster and play some. If they don’t use those picks to trade up, then hopefully deal them for picks next year - those trades for future picks usually garner returns a round higher than the current year pick. If they could flip the two 6ths for 2 5ths next year, it would be a coup.
  25. *Maybe* late 3rd where Bills are sitting, but I’d rather go after someone that has demonstrated that they can play a position and is likely at least a contributor on offense or defense for multiple seasons. I’m kind of risk-averse, so more risk tolerant people may be more willing to take a risk on him.
