  1. because its the players executing not the play calling on either side of the ball
  2. 150 rushing 230 recieving and 105 passing he a tough nosed guy but hes super sub not a starter and he will be 30 before the season starts.....im out amari cooper sucks in the cold...cant take him
  3. throw the rock off moron not even going to entertain idiots
  4. its a great point....my only question is how much of what is called comes from McDermott....don't blow the field goal Brian be safe
  5. Sal is the one of three guys who have any idea what they are spitting out on that station the other being Nate Geary and Joe. The morning morons are laughable if you listen to any other morning show from a city with an NFL team. They love to hear themselves talk can't break down anything, its comical. Then the afternoon egos - who also know nothing about the game but refuse to bring in a former player or coach ever to explain anything from quarterback to other aspects. Instead it's website guys Mike follows who he knows wont be any smarter than him which puts him at ease. One station town cant swallow their pride and bring in someone to talk about Josh Allen who played the position in the NFL because it robs them of their air time. Sal is frankly the only reason I check in usually on audio vault your almost correct he did have the greatest oversized tight end to play the game and that a big plus.....also their defense at its worst was what 8th.....the sb years always 1 or 2
  6. Patriots are getting old not Just Brady by next season Edelman 33 Cannon 32 Guy 30 Collins 31 Hightower 30 McCourty(s) 33 Slater 35 Chung 33 Van Noy 30 Sanu 31 Gilmore 30 Burkhead 29 Michael Bennett 35 on a team that wasnt that talented on offense they have a lot of age on defense not that guys cant play at 30-31 but you wouldnt want all of them They slipped a notch when Flores left he took some assistants to Miami, when McDaniel leaves he'll take a few too Already Missing Gronk they didnt have that money in the bank 3rd down or when needed Gronk go slam into a guy push off and turn around easy completion Myers and Harry "appear" to be nothing special and 3rd round Rb Damian Harris never played Of course they arent going to stand pat but I dont know how much they can fix team wide through free agency and as we know they do not draft well Brady covered up for so much partnered with knowing what's coming- (there is a reason they keep doing it even told repeatedly not to- because it works) but i think it run its course. Bill is 68 next year how much energy does he have left how many good assistant coaches can he groom?
  7. do i get hopkins too? then ill take Josh....we saw Watson and all his greatness for 4 quarters- he did finally make a play allowed to keep playing from the stripes
  8. exactly when a guy balks by stepping off with the wrong foot they dont say well I know you meant to do that with the other foot. the league is corrupt he threw his hands up for a touchdown and should have been a safety at the end of the day
  9. you play to your strength and versus their weakness: example --if you don't think your opponent can generate much offense you play conservatively because unless you jump start them they are going to have a difficult time. You don't come in with risky offense or throwing all around. They only chance they have is you turning it over yesterday Schoop said you can't sit on it before half without explaining score...field position.....or anything......25 seconds you have to try to do something. this is flat out stupid decision making that gets teams beat....are their times I wish we would push the envelope ? sure but right now Allen isnt that experienced good choices quarterback so you have to be team smart. If they pop a run they will push it, they have this year but you also HAVE to be aware of time left and are they capable of getting back before the half etc. McD does a good job The line between aggressive and stupid is fairly thin......
  10. I like Watson but the " playoff games are nothing new" article from Leo - come on he's played one playoff game threw for 235 yds on 49 attempts and scored 7 point in a loss. Pump the brakes that division has been taken by 10 wins twice by 9 wins twice in the last 5 years. Again I like Watson but they arent beating out the Patriots at 14 and 2
  11. in the pouring rain after not throwing a pass for how many weeks? very few all year also did Josh get starters reps ? he did start if Barkley has to go in he'll be fine
  12. First I like Duke, i noticed they have been using Foster to run the safety off. I haven't studied it enough to see how important this is to their successful plays but you have to respect Fosters speed- Duke doesn't have that speed. Dukes ability to get yards after catch is appealing, breaking tackles big body as well as having a big target in the red zone. We do have 2 big targets in Knox and Kroft and cant find them when throwing inside the opponents 10. You have had a successful season with Isiah McKenzie-Brown and Beasley ..do you scrap that and all of a sudden it's Duke ? I doubt McDermott would do that and then you factor in special teams..you cant lose the game on special teams this year. To switch that up would scare a lot of guys. Duke is a weapon he's not Roosevelt it would show a tremendous amount of belief to do it. I liked Foster running the jet sweep although McKenzie has been good doing it he does nothing else. Sweeney at tight end is a project if he played more snaps the defense would force him to stay in and block and he would be eaten up
  13. 24-16 mcd will give Watson trouble if we tackle well and dont allow any special teams tds or big plays i think we win it fairly comfortable. Josh has to be willing to take off...protect the football
  14. well win or be fun to watch ? win or good fantasy numbers ? look at the rushing teams = playoffs - take a look at qb numbers for those who win. I always hear well in a shoot out we need to.....if we get into a shootout it wouldn't benefit how we play. Here is a great example of a team that plays complimentary football....Rothlisberger 21 playoff games 5 300 or more passing games 0-5 it doesn't fit how they play 6 games under 200 yards passing...6-0....we are a similair style team pass for 200-230 hit a couple big plays run it, dont turn it over make them beat our defense repeatedly. This is not saying Allen stinks or cant throw for huge yards but the risk you have to take for a huge passing day usually are connected to we have to because we cant stop them. That's Rodgers(and Brees) and why McCarthy isnt there throw for 370 win by 3 points not playing complimentary football, Rodgers last 10 playoff games 9 over 30 throws 5 over 40. The easy answer is you've got him so use him and that thought process is what puts an all time great on the couch watching super bowls. With a lot of passing attempts comes a lot of 3 and outs, sacks fumbles, interceptions. Brees loses to Bridgewater, Grossman, Alex Smith, Jared Goff in 15 games Saints have cracked 28 points 8 times so about half. Complimentary football quit worry about the what about the shootout scenario it rarely shows up. and its his Tight ends not his wideouts ....they block and release short passes between the hash marks....its tough to stop....you have to dictate and 1st and 2nd down.....you need negative plays
  15. its fantasy football inability to seperate real an not real
  16. fearless is not careless.....we might need to understand this first
  17. we lead the league in drops and Duke hasn't been playing Duke also broke a tackle - the last time 19-10-15 has done that ? hasn't been this year Barkely is fine if needed....with back up all over in the pouring rain and not having played for 17 weeks hard to jump out there and look sharp. What was the practice rep break down? Josh did start Corey Liuget has been a great signing looks a lot like the Phillips grab
  18. great point- it's been a fun season I've made a couple road trips had a blast and my team won. As we look at coaching changes and other teams problems i had a few thoughts: How McBeane have brought along Josh Allen is perfect we're is such a hurry to compare to Lamar, Baker, Darnold, Rosen others and fantasy numbers and what ever else in our confusion we think matters. These guys are 23 it's not a one year draft pick he's here for a while and I love his progress we are not asking him to be the savior and do things that are too much of an ask and puts guys in a non confident position (Baker Mayfield) They remind me of the way Seattle did things with Russell Wilson and his style reminds me of Allen. Yes Seattle had a kick butt o-line and a better running game but the ask wasn't unrealistic. Surrounded him with good players and a good defense and played a game that didn't allow them to get blown out. 13 games Seattle defense gave up 20 or less that allows him to grow and win games gaining confidence winning with passing numbers 108-172-199-139-123-142-202-149-210-206. Then went on to win the super bowl with playoff games of 103-215-206. As an example Jets and Browns are in such a hurry to crown them next great and TV needs replacements for Brees-Rothlisberger-Brady. Baker had descent numbers last year playing from behind and it gave the Brown a false read that he was somehow ready to be great obviously he's not he's 24 and on his third coach. Darnold is trying to pull an entire organization with him that's a hot mess. Despite a 6-2 second half would anyone use the word good when talking about the Jets or even descent. The point is this we all want quick success it's hard to do it the patient way and not put your quarterback in positions to fail when they are still very young. Especially someone like Josh not a high recruit coming out of high school as we know had to go to junior college and JUCO football is not JUCO baseball. Then couldn't find any takers wound up at Wyoming and yet some expect his returns to be close to Manning because he was selected 7th over all. That selection is based on potential his back round tells you some assembly required not take him out of the box and he's ready to go. He's in year 2 at 23 and we're going to the playoffs and are going to be good for a while. When I think about Joe Borrow are the Bengals going to be patient with him, build around him, let him slowly develop into great QB ? Or ask him to make unrealistic plays in a no win situation and wreck him because we are too impatient. Rookie coach won 1 game will they let him have a 3-13 season unlikely so he's probably on coach 2 in year two. Even though he will be 24 in his rookie year and they feel like if we wait 3-4 years he'll be 28 and have a 7-8 year career the other option is he'll be 26-27 and on his third coach. Mayfield will be 25 next year he is 12-17 the shine is off, the cockiness is gone now it's an act. The making others around him better doesn't exist he has Chubb he has Landry he has Beckham and a seat on the couch waiting to see who his next coach is- and this one he's not picking. Enjoy the playoffs we're a good team, a young team, a close team with a ton of cap room and a ton of picks. The Window is wide open for a while and a large reason is we brought the quarterback along the right way.
