  1. I like Dabol and I'm glad he's back- did he put Frank in positions to be successful ? No he didn't just accept it don't pretend he did that's all. Guys call bad plays as offensive coordinators -they all do. He did a great job with Josh maturing helping him show the defensive coverage with formations. Bad play calls are part of the game some more than others the cover up is if you have a kick ass line and very few teams do. Every team that doesn't win the super bowl is upset with two things their offensive coordinator and the offensive line. Dabol had a hard time finding a role for Frank after Singletary came back. Same can be said for Tyler Kroft the difference is he tried to shove that square block (frank) into the round hole (game plan) while Kroft he was left with he's not a game breaker I can't try to develop a spot while trying to win football games
  2. 2- parts that bother me 1- is the short yardage we get stuffed virtually running anything besides josh getting it on the sneak/run usually requires being outstretched breaking tackles etc. just to pickup the 1/2 yard. 2- both Tackles Cody Ford was over matched often last year, I do think he's going to be very good year two he needs to come along. Dawkins at times he plays very well but he's not that franchise tackle we all hope for. While Ford will be only 23 until the end of next season Dawkins will be 26 next month. I hope he can develop into that money player great teams need. Other than that I like the o-line, sure if I had a wish list need a little nasty to it, Feliciano has it Spain every now and then but that's it Morse is so agile and can get out in front like nobody .vs the concussion problems. When he plays he plays well and our screen game goes- when he out our screen game isn't even used.
  3. some age- play calls were short yardage with an o line that had a terrible time moving guys in short yardage situations generally weren't physical enough. started sneaking Josh who to his credit picked them up but was never easy as we know. Who is that Mauler you can get behind on 3rd and 1.5 ?
  4. very fair comparison with a couple big differences Carson Palmer 13 years older than Allen Arians master play caller 13 guaranteed great weather games only 3 road in potential bad weather @pitt early Oct,,,,,Cleveland Nov... Philly Dec thats it Did anyone go to the redskins - eagles or ravens game you could only throw the ball in one direction
  5. hes more consistent than Shaq... and can play more snaps. Fits scheme played for McD D line coach is his old one where he had success. Its a safe signing
  6. ummm well a track record of success despite being in a run heavy offense should settle those fears. He's a known factor at the NFL level THAT is the difference just on player alone. Then factor in the rest of the weapons - the oline- the quarterback completely different situation
  7. easy its year 3 yes take the next step but he's 23 he doesn't need to be top tier it would be great but realistic is not top tier its improving being consistent not missing easy throws and making more plays which not throwing to street free agents, practice player grabs and other assorted pieces certainly helped him last year. This is the next piece but be Mahomes or your out isn't logical, realistic or in any way what McBeane will expect. They have brought him along about as perfect as you can don't fall down the hill being impatient keep climbing he's going to be great he'll be 24 this season so will Joe Borrow.
  8. can you go higher than an A...we havent had a guy like this since Moulds and we sucked then
  9. shows how limited we were in the weapons column when his Jet sweep was a money play
  10. I didnt want to say anything and she seems super sweet but she's not very good. If you watch the postgame show with Fred Jackson its a hard watch. Hoping she gets comfortable and better at it as a postgame guy he's as bad as anyone Ive ever heard which for me is a lot, absolutely awful
  11. Reid has absolutely nothing to do with the defense...... stick with what you know
  12. Howard simon this morning talk of hill as qb of the future.....hey howard I know you do no preshow work but Hill is 30
  13. Id rather they did a remix updated version of shout....the bills anthem as fans is that chorus "hey yay hey a" from road games to home games its a rally cry we all know and respond too the old shout song has been stale for a long long time but i dont think we stop it i think we up date it with the emphasis on the chorus much like white stripes seven nation army there isnt much to the song it's simple but everyone joins in
  14. I watched him play 3 times last year.....certainly stuck out man among boys fast powerful nasty and clutch and someone you can see where his game would adapt to the NFL as quick as anyone. dont really care if its year FOUR !!!! all that matters is where they are now it's not a race you bring your project qb along surrounding him with good players on offense and a good to great defense. They are doing this not putting too much on Allen's plate adding more as they go they are doing this perfectly he's going to be great because they have gone about it right understanding drafted at 21 from Wyoming coming from JUCO. Someone like Borrow as an example will be playing in the NFL at 25 next year different set of circumstances
  15. Bennie Thompson was great and frankly he cant hold Tasker's jock. Impact on a game HUGE- yes game planning for a gunner ? as Parcells said hes the only one If you to young to remember him you cant grasp his impact on stats like an offensive player I think he'll get in on the veterans committee who have a better understanding of the overall game. The voters now seem to punch numbers in and it spits out HOF or not. Eli 7th all time in passing yards = gotta be a hall of famer hes a .500 qb in his career with a kick ass defense "he" won 2 super bowls forced to score atleast 8 points in both super bowls winning them 13-7...14-7 nice D Eli
  16. its low hanging fruit.....easy column to write....extremely easy radio is negative radio and that why you hear it a lot. Two playoffs in three years a young talented team, exciting players good head coach and general manager who have made a ton of good moves. radio take: Boy that Zay Jones pick didn't work out
  17. hes made 250 million dollars if he's sweating texas something went horribly wrong
  18. is the Astros owner donating his profits from the playoff games including tickets parking and concession i mean its dirty money. You want to make a statement that means something - do that and ill respect it
  19. Would love to have him back but the lack of DT in this league make him a hot commodity I dont want to play against him hope he signs with NFC North
