  1. He used to be historically safe with the ball in big crossroads. what was his streak of red zone possessions without an INT? Do you think Dorsey may have a hand in that regression?
  2. If talking the impossible, sure. If Josh has 68 turnovers TB will be low on the list. but assuming this offense lands top 10ish, and TB doesn’t magically find 20lbs of heft while not losing any speed - he’s the likely consistent weekly issue.
  3. There are some speculating he may have had his bell rung and played with a concussion. Not sure what stock I put in that without a replay of the hit in question
  4. My worry all off-season was he lost a step and behind a bad MLB they would ask too much of him. I think we saw that on both the early breece runs.
  5. No but he will be a difficult problem to solve going forward
  6. I’d run my offense at him too. that said, I’m real curious what the tape will say on poyer
  7. I’d let Josh run in OT too. Take the leash off.
  8. josh had that awesome streak of years without a red zone turnover before last year. the chemistry with Dorsey is jacked up. I would be very curious to bring him down to the sideline for a game instead of the booth.
  9. Totally true, that it could be tv perception but it’s been a frequent occurrence, no? I’ve said it before tonight. it’d be a weird trend for the networks to all create together. We definitely talked about it in the bengals melt. I’ll admit I didn’t notice that and it’d be interesting if a trend. I’ve been out on Davis as a not great route runner who is inconsistent helping his qb… but hoped it was injury related that he wasn’t super sharp or agile last year
  10. what did coverage look like, I wonder. We only see so much on tv… but gabe was absent minus getting called out for a sloppy route on the interception his way.
  11. I don’t want them in the first quarter but at some point when all else fails that’s almost always been a fail safe… whether or not he played well tonight he’s still the most athletic guy on the field and it buys an extra blocker too. I’ll also echo from another thread- I’m not sure whatever the sideline support is hits the mark and it may be worse with McD calling the defense. I’m tired of panning over to Josh alone, sans tablet, no coaches, no phone, just staring into the distance when it goes bad. I recall daboll moved back and forth with his setup depending on the flow of the offensive unit
  12. I think after the weird jump they got on him and he got into a weird in between state. We weren’t moving the ball well. Not great at running the ball. Really tight windows short. Not allowed to use his legs… and he got erratic. call me crazy but by the 4th quarter I would’ve been ok with a few designed runs for him even
  13. the difference- the jets have a much more physical defense than the bills
  14. He designs plays he is the guy in his ear on the field he is the guy calling plays he is the guy not in his ear on the sideline. I’ll say I do wonder if Josh has the right setup around him on the sideline. So often they pan to him alone and staring into space when things go bad.
  15. Yup. honestly, we have a serviceable line that will generally be fine. A lot of folks got carried away with how good. We will see where it goes but I think they still win the division (especially with the Rodgers situation) it’s a stinging loss but not terrible to remember this
  16. Getting behind schedule in OT was bad… but as you said, the playcalling there lacked purpose. Just a terrible sequence and I don’t think there’s a coherent defense of the calls.
  17. It’s the problem with pegging every guy to be at their ceiling when projecting. that said, the jets have an elite defense and are a very tough test for the bills roster style. It’s one of the worst matchups around.
  18. a) he’s capable and has done it a bunch b) is the OC somehow totally detached from preparing his QB? That’s not Dorsey’s job at all here?
  19. I like in this scenario we still win the Super Bowl
  20. the game was already lost when the returner is in the red zone in sudden death.
  21. dorsey has nothing to do with our qb now?
  22. I’ll even take a different run josh with a power run in OT is a call I’m fine with. a draw that’s been bottled up all night? I don’t care if it’s a top 5 offense at years end again, that’s trash.
  23. Poyer got cooked on both runs, right? just terrible reads if I saw the plays right
  24. cooks still the much more talented back
  25. I think they have been pretty legitimate all off-season, but are in the tightest division in the tighter conference and because of that 1-2 games could be the difference between Super Bowl contender vs watching playoffs from the couch
