  1. Wait a minute... Weren’t you one of the guys on tilt raging against him and any that disliked him but now that you looked at him again yesterday you are optimistic?!?
  2. Thats probably what skewed that study I showed you... we got all his tweets baked into the numbers now. Silly me.
  3. I remember when guys like you projected us to have like 12 starters and among the strongest groups in the league last year.... we again have among the weakest and it’s late to add an immediate impact. It’s ok to acknowledge that

  5. On the spectrum allen is about middle of the pack? even slow guys can take a few steps in the pocket. I don’t envision Allen’s ability to run changing defensive game plans considerably. He will avoid some sacks and create some time here and there which is great but vs a relatively non athletic guy pocket presence will bes bigger issue than 40 time.
  6. But we really nailed down depth at rb! Jokes aside, every reason to be skeptical of the kid but he checks a ton of boxes and if in 2 years we have to move on it’s not the end of the world
  7. Right? We have bad feelings about his time here but dude has a bunch of probowls, led the league in passing and has a ring. If allen has the head and arm of that plus some mobility... not the knock some will think it is.
  8. Ultimately, if we weren’t including 22.... what were we offering that was better than what only got us to 7? i wouldn’t trade back to 12 without another 1st
  9. Especially with the pieces to keep him clean! Man, kids a beast and seems everything McD would want in that locker room. Everyones a long shot today, I’d consider him low risk and very high reward at this point. Worst case is a special teams demon.
  10. Shuttles had drew at 4.5 and allen at 4.4... Considering how the game has changed, that’s probably not as big a gap once you normalize for how much faster everyone is. i dont think it’s some perfect comparison and allen is definitely quicker but nowhere near as absurd as some will portray and if allen retires with 4 probowls and a ring he will be a home run for us.
  11. Id doubt he literally put fingers in his ears and refused to hear offers but sounds like it’d take a massive deal and if reports were true that we wouldn’t include the other first.... probably weren’t a ton of monster deals
  12. But most in this era do...
  13. He definitely could be the guy. I get why folks are nervous, but you have to be a bit excited. also, is Big Ben shrinking with age? I enjoyed the way you mentioned his size
  14. Or you could argue competitive teams despite coaching turnover and constant scheme changes
  15. Well, honestly, yea... it’s cool he has a monster arm but that highlight - as fun as it is- probably is as much of a red flag as a positive. Making that throw as rare as possible in his nfl game will be a goal. Thats the thing in these settings- we always see the offseason message board posts of “with another year he will be much better” but plenty of guys dont take regular strides forward like we assume. Fingers crossed he does
  16. Could it just be marrone was a much better coach than Rex? Not a huge fan of the dude but he’s doing good stuff in Jax and had some of our best results too
  17. Speed. Everywhere. Bpa that can move fast.
  18. Your “friend” didn’t want to sign up for the draft?!?
  19. You know athlete is speed commentary. He’s clearly an athlete but this is a case of does he run past blockers and chase down backs or is he a smart and stout player that knocks his blocker back a step, sheds the right way and wraps up?
  20. Ultimately, he checked the box. I don’t care 32 vs 37 vs 34 vs 40 i don’t want sub 20 at qb though
  21. I will be shocked if he doesn’t start any games this year.
  22. He’s a pretty iconic fan and I believe heads up the DFW bills backers - who are a huge and very active group. Im more surprised you don’t know him than that the bills do
  23. I appreciate the imagery... ha! I haven’t watched a ton of him but the takeaway I had from the little bit was less best first step and fast up field and more technically sound and very sturdy. Ill stress i didnt mean it as a knock— just that I envision him beating up the guy in front of him and getting the tackle a step into the backfield regularly, instead of the get the guy 5 yards deep type of getting up field.
  24. Ultimately day 3 isn’t about this year anyway. If we are counting on a guy tomorrow to be a big impact we’ve already created abust. There’s no telling what we need in 2020 so you get the best player you can and figure success anywhere on the field is great down the line. ill keep floating griffin as a curveball that would round out a major infusion of athleticism at lb behind an influx of DTs protecting them. Could be a hell of a transformation in the middle of the field.
  25. Gotta generally be bpa but as you get deep in the draft things tend to flatten out a bit outside a few random slides. take advantage of any big differential but any ties have to go to offensive speed
