Looks like Bills could see Lamar at QB today
NoSaint replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This seemed to be the ravens plan from day 1. Not surprised it’s happening and was obvious to plan for. -
I did enjoy that it’s just horrific, totally catastrophic moments, and in rolls Rex!

Its the new base nfl defense so hopefully not an excuse we lean on -
Football Outsiders 2018 Projections
NoSaint replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think there was some factor of statistical anomaly with turnovers that bumped an extra couple wins but you can’t count on repeating. Especially without a roster that’s particularly well built to create them (no major pass rush, offense doesn’t put pressure on opposing offenses to take risks). We also probably turn the ball over more this year. without going game by game I’d say the bar napkin is 6 coin flip games (figure 3-3) and 10 we are underdogs (say 3-7).... if we catch most of the lucky bounces (I know as a bills fan it’s near sacrilege to say we had luck on our side) you couldsee a.500 type season ala last year. Shady rolls an ankle early, Murphy sucks and white has any regression at all and it could be really ugly really fast. -
Pats cut TD Mike Gillislee per CBS Sports

I mean, yea, as he references what I suppose is likely that Timothy McVeigh article. I’d say that’s the wrong way to be a fan. So I guess there are wrong ways. If you enjoyed Tolbert as a backup, I suppose that’s your choice. I often disagree with you. MG at a 2nd round tender likely leaves us a better team than losing him for a 5th did. -

And yet, perhaps both teams found their pants around their ankles at the end of the day. -
Is a "Bad" Year Really All That Bad for the Bills?
NoSaint replied to Midwest1981's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ultimately, just getting in isn’t that exciting of a goal. Either you are a contender, in purgatory, building or failing miserably. Outside of busting up the statistical anomaly of not reaching the playoffs in our 20 year purgatory, last year didn’t change our status much. If allen is the dude, this could be our first major change in status since 99, even if it’s a non playoff season. It would be exciting to be building a contender, even if that’s a half step back in the win column this season. -

One might argue we also lost in MG... I mean, unless you enjoyed Tolbert. With our scheme changes it’s not certain but I’d have rather had him than Tolbert We get ivory and Murphy, they get Williams and gillislee... I’m not sure which I’d prefer. -
Do we pull a Patriots and bring in Perriman?
NoSaint replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’ll keep an eye out for the guy available to us in September with great hands, speed, sharp routes and high character with a rookie contract. Stay tuned.... -
The thing I don’t understand- you know he’s a guy that’s a handful and needs to culture change. Every poster here could’ve said he’s not a polished route runner or going to get the playbook fast.... what was the expectation that we had when we traded for him? Instant 180 and the light to come on? Or was he absolutely catastrophic behind the scenes?

You are one of the strangest posters to recently grace the board.

An sds vs skydiver bama debate is what we’ve ALL been looking forward to for months

It could be a coach keeping “his guy” too

Sal Carpaccio: Corey Coleman Is In Trouble
NoSaint replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To be fair, in 31 other cities that gets a pat on the back and what have you done for me lately. So, yea, how they got their probably matters more than simply the benchmark of getting there in the long run. I’m open to debate of what people think of how they did it though. -
Report: Martavious Bryant released
NoSaint replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’d be fine if not suspended long term. He’d be a placeholder til we draft or sign a guy. Not a long term answer. holmes, streater, Reilly, etc... will generally he available down the line if he’s totally unreachable and you cut him or he’s suspended -

Fair take. I could see all the depth guys hanging around but not guaranteeing the salaries and trying to protect another asset on cut day -

Did they show the dart against the saints? kids a good passer. Nothing wrong with acknowledging that. Odds are he’s ahead of ours today. If ours grows to his potential he will be much better. Problem is at this level - if mechanics are bad they don’t get fixed if you have a ton of reps practicing the bad. If you don’t have a ton of reps it’s easier to fix footwork but odds are you have to learn a ton of concepts (on top of mechanics)... which is hard to do. We are hoping he is the exception that’s right in the sweet spot where he’s learned a lot conceptually but not locked into bad habits. Long shot but likable kid with all the potential in the world. -
O Line Troubles Start With It's Coach !!

I do sometimes hold the coach accountable for not being able to stump for the players he needs. -
For someone able to recognize that no one thinks he’s the worst every you sure do jump to and everyone thinks we are klansmen quickly.
