  1. yea, 11 wins then 1-1 in the playoffs ain’t it roll in burrow/bengals issues we already missed the easiest window, and we’re still gifted this year. if it hasn’t happened yet, other than dumb luck, I don’t understand why we think McDermott will make it happen in a more challenging year
  2. Special teams decisions -both personnel and the fake- did not work today
  3. Remind me why we are going with the injured punter? something about experience?
  4. I probably have 50 posts calling for the extra OT on obvious runs instead of guys like Lee smith. Tonight feels good.
  5. most of the folks here are not doctors or brain experts. we have a gentleman that wants to play football and knows it is high risk in a number of ways. I hope that his doctors give him fair and accurate information regarding both his current state, his potential risks and even whether they think it’s a good decision. I also hope once he reaches the established benchmarks he has some say whether or not he’s ready. Most importantly I hope he heals quickly and can make those decisions when he’s ready- which seems to be today. I don’t feel like I should make those choices for him. Frankly if it’s purely medically driven no one should ever be on the field. So now we are left with I hope he heals quickly and I hope he makes choices for his future that are informed and comfortable for he and his loved ones.
  6. not against kc in white. What are you trying to do, sabotage us?
  7. We already switched to Ted. I hope you haven’t left east aurora
  8. "What we now know is concussions happen all the time," Favre said. "You get tackled and your head hits the turf, you see the flashes of light or ringing in your ears, but you're able to play. Based on that, thousands, had to be, because every time my head hit the turf, there was ringing or stars going, flash bulbs, but I was still able to play." now imagine that extrapolated for any in the box hitter on either side, instead of a quarterback…
  9. Or we could all wear red, and really mess with the chiefs when they think their fans took over… until it’s loud when they are on offense. come on, play chess not checkers
  10. I’ll keep saying you are crazy if you think it’s only 5 or that several guys playing last week didn’t get their “bells rung” so either we make football unrecognizable or we set baseline evaluations and hope both for the game and for the player that guys return to baseline that indicates health quickly
  11. you are aware that a good bit of his pregame med test if he’s been a full participant already will be: “now that it’s game time, are you feeling good, rasul?”
  12. it’s tough. they have baseline tests and if he’s not displaying symptoms, not reporting symptoms and his testing has returned to normal…. we can act tough about concussions but truth is all of us turn blind eyes to the fact that every non kicker in the nfl has a numerous unreported/undiagnosed concussions because that’s the game they play and we fund.
  13. id imagine nearly if not every player on the roster does
  14. yup. Unlikely to be a contributor but sometimes when you pick up a lottery ticket it can put a few bucks in your pocket. I’m good with beane picking up a lotto ticket here instead of just a plain old nickel or dime that you know wont make a difference
  15. Yea we would’ve said the same about the jags before a playoff loss last year
  16. a) I’m not sure we ask more. Right? Both are asked to do everything, whether or not you have feelings on who does it better b) the ravens even made Lamar negotiate his contract!
  17. If it’s transplantbillsfan maybe Josh will get mvp too
  18. kind of exactly my feelings if Brady loves the guy I’d be fine but certainly not someone I’m trying to target based on resume alone
  19. im sure you can acknowledge that’s an incredibly niche perspective that might be well served to mention when discussing a guy That said it’s also like 25+ years old but I do appreciate the share still ill say that seeing nearly every game of his professional career- and probably a third of those in person- I’d be fine if Brady had a good working relationship and wanted to use him as a culture guy and sounding board….. but nothing about Carmichael makes me want him in offensive design. I think the saints offensive struggles are Pete- ol -qb in that order
  20. yup. He’s in a weird space where he won’t be a sought after OC but his resume is above position coach sure. Lots of guys could. I think the concern is Sean Payton was likely the drawing up plays guy in New orleans. After he left the offense went stale quickly. Talent obviously a concern there but he didn’t show any particular innovation - so why him over any other options in they role?
  21. just curious- how did you have any meaningful opinion on Pete as a coach/person beyond simply unimaginative play caller? he’s not shown any meaningful insights into who he is
  22. Semantics really when you have bilious and are an international superstar- Maybe she’s not “entitled” but is “on a practical level fully guaranteed to receive if she wants it” that different here?
  23. counter: this team certainly displayed a who cares attitude about the media distractions. Unless there were already personal issues with the guy, odds are they are dialed in right now that no one would even care what Tim Graham asks them about the punter
  24. Meh. I don’t care as long as he doesn’t shank one 10 yards catch the ball and boot it deep. Can be all touchbacks for all I care this week
  25. he was several yards away from any defender engaging a tackle- it’s not like they pulled up last second. Even if they read it as a slide they could continue to close space before making a decision
