if you don’t think it’ll work out, I think there’s something to be said for skipping Rodgers, trading watt for a bounty and committing to move up aggressively to get your guy as a bills fan, we watched this play out for 20 years. In my opinion I’d rather keep taking real swings than chasing maybe getting a wild card I don’t look to the browns as being a data point any strategy being sound/unsound really

it probably amounts to 3 years fully guaranteed and a 4th year that has offset language so if he signs any contract they are off the hook but if he’s totally out of the league they owe him a few bucks basically “you are practically guaranteed to be here 3 years, so whatever- but we aren’t going to supplement your salary for the another team to get you cheaper to play against us if you are still in the league year 4”

I think sometimes folks forget some WR1 get a lot of slot volume, like ceedee, etc…

Once you get out of the top ten or so superstars that just win at everything, it starts to turn into scheme fits creating tiers/ledges id say he is in that 30-40 ledge, where he generally starts everywhere, rarely is a clear WR1, and value could vary depending on his fit.

If we are the only team he doesn’t get a ring with I’ll be genuinely annoyed

I think it’s just a matter of is he an injury risk in a unique way, or is it just basic risk management of it being a huge drop off Josh isn’t an injury risk, in general but you protect him because of the drop in this case I don’t think the worry was hugely worthys injury risk so much as the room being depleted and only putting so much on a young guys plate

with him having 900 snaps and very limited depth remaining at WR

you manufacture touches for guys that can house it any given touch. if his snap count is going to go down on offense you get him touches elsewhere just echoing your point

I hate to say it but if everyone is eating and we aren’t trying to force feed the guy…. can you imagine Brady scheming him up? sure he wouldn’t be a big run blocker but…. Jeeeze. I debated Josh in only that the standar md has gone from very very good to one of the best in the history of the league he could regress and still be pretty darn good. see I was interested in it because after multiple years of very stunted impact is a regression just missing all 17 games? if it’s whether he’s regressed compared to 2022, sure, I’d say likely but not likely a fair situation for this debate

How is Green Bay? How is Seattle? The lions? I saw a bunch of articles this offseason without looking for them. It’s common place in high demand markets that aren’t begging to fill seats. I don’t think teams like the optics of a huge number of visiting fans, fans don’t like waitlists while resellers profit… I’d venture the guess that the long term attend every game seat is also much more pleasant to police on game day than is a rotating cast.

I don’t know what the threshold will be but would not be shocked if selling 6 out of 8 regular season games starts discussions
