you need someone to keep the defense honest and force them to cover a huge expanse of grass suddenly the other team can’t just drift an extra defender into the box and jam up the area that shakir/kincaid work the best. it’s changes the calculus to have an elite QB and a true WR1. Defenders were getting to the chairs at the dinner table before the snap. Now they have to cover the whole field and our guys can all eat.

it’s like saying you have 2 qbs sure, it’s possible, but overwhelmingly more likely is marketing for having no qb youd think our fans would be better at recognizing those phrases after 2 decades of them.

yea but Coleman is a couple inches taller and a few pounds lighter? I never watched anquan week in and week out but it seemed his special trait wasn’t finding soft spots as much as bullying we will see. I think the kid is productive and contributes in the nfl but I suspect that we talk about where this leaves his ceiling for his whole time here. A guy that doesn’t seize the number 1 spot but is better than many of the WRs drafted around him leaving him as great message board debate fodder. ((and I’m sidestepping the play where he’s trying to post up with that comment))

I think saying he doesn’t know better than THAT play is a cop out. That’s not learning, that’s just getting it straight up JV wrong. I would rather hear he just got unfocused on the play than he is still playing in the paint and WR is still that unnatural to him

you realize announcers spend a good bit of time embedded with the team talking about stuff before the game. They don’t just show up Sunday and spitball.

yup - those handful of plays may be inconsequential or they may come at massive moments… but we are more equipped to make big plays, and less likely to blow plays now.

he was lost in the news black hole that was Cleveland when he was in Dallas he was getting that attention heck, in Oakland he got that attention. he was a top 5 pick and 5 time pro bowler

Gabe was awful too…. I haven’t paid much attention this year but I wonder about it if others are noticing a trend

we all know we have won a lot of close games… but often mess up in the biggest moments. stopping a team that fired their coach in October is not winning against the chiefs in january and his issues were part of what kept this close for the jets in the first place.

At this point, nothing changed, I don’t feel worse about him than I did yesterday… and they refused action then. we will see but not expecting it
