he’s one of the toughest calls. The modern league is essentially build an offense and a pass rush and then be opportunistic on the back end. edmunds does a lot well but he’s not ending many drives with turnovers, sacks, or broken up passes. He doesn’t set an emotional tenor for those around him. He seems fine at getting the defender set but never hear exceptional stories of hot reads and audibles. At some point you can’t pay guys simply for being very good at ILB on a mature roster. He’s got to be the identity not the role player. I have a hard time seeing him cross that threshold.

Plus zay Jones I can’t say our guys behind diggs showed a ton of poise on the field. Not sure whether underprepared or they’ve overcomplicated the system. No one would confuse Davis, or McKenzie as being particularly quarterback friendly at the moment though.

Lung damage on the vent as a world class athlete may be a concern

mix of Hines, and Shakir plus maybe a high drafted rookie

Ravens and Lamar do not reach contract agreement

meh. Sure they could walk away. But on a practical level, walking away was never on the table. Worst case he’s hurt badly, and they tag him just like we will see now. From there, so team would give him a pretty hefty contract even if his knee exploded. -
And does not seem to have a good sense of finding soft spaces for easy throws- possibly a bigger issue than the drops. a one trick pony deep ball catcher with both modest speed and hands is a tough role to consistently produce in. that said, he never looked crisp all year. Part of me hopes we find out he was playing through some sort of core injury in addition to the early ankle. It could explain so much… honestly, after diggs, I felt like a lot of our guys didn’t have a great feel for throttling up or down around soft spots in coverage, and often took angles that left really difficult throws for Josh. Like they didn’t understand the coverage shells and the qb line of sight…. And that was before the spotty hands.

PSA: This is Sean McDermott's defense, not Leslie Frazier's

I could imagine if bienemy was calling plays that there could be a half measure of removing him even if there’s a question of why more wasn’t done by Reid in the moment for the moment during a collapse -
Titans are switching their field from grass to turf

to be fair, building your stadium based on 2022 roster composition is silly too, with probably 70% roster turnover between now and the first game yet alone the next several decades -
poor Bobby will not return to this thread

so your cool if they just swap it to 39 seconds and roll as is it seems.
-
I mean, sure. that said, as long as the mechanics of the process are always the same, it’s essentially just giving a standardized half second buffer that as long as standard makes no material difference
-
it’s being governed the same. It’s just a rare call to begin with and happened to be seen a few times recently in close succession. Nothing about it is new.
-
and if the fraction of the second was meaningful and unevenly enforced I’d be right there with you.
-
All of those providing an advantage as long as the mechanics of the play clock are consistent it’s absolutely fine by me as is as there is no meaningful gain.
-
it’s incredibly rare, outside of the day announced, that I see any demarcation of pro bowl starters, backups, and frankly once guys start pulling, even alternates bumped up. any given year there’s simply about 8-10 pro bowl quarterbacks it seems. As an example.

Given the 3 year rule. Analyzing the Bills 2020 draft..

And a lot of money. it’s hard to knock his rating down but giving up a 1st plus more and paying a vet contract, maybe not a full A+? -
4 drafted lineman plus a free agent is a lot of bodies to squeeze into the 53 probably overshooting a bit
-
with the season done for weeks I wouldn’t be shocked if it was just a talking point to skip the game. surely he’s not at the team facility trying to pass the various tests to work through protocol and is just dealing with his own doctors at this point in the off-season right?

Buscaglia: Both Bills Coordinators are likely to be back in 2023
NoSaint replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think we would be fine with either coordinator coming back. I don’t think either unit is elite but both were above average/good for the most part. I think either could be improved upon still. Most importantly I think after a good bit of time building a foundation and finding a plateau that we are in a spot that an outside voice could be very helpful. I’m not saying bring a radical scheme change but instead of promoting within go find fresh eyes that fit our existing talent. I also think some players are wanting to see at least a little shake up off the field. -
Bills Player Rookie Playing Time in 2022 Season

We have a strange dynamic where our offensive scheme is too simple but simultaneously impossible for new additions to learn. -
Aaron Rodgers to the Jets for 2 first round picks?
NoSaint replied to Lost's topic in The Stadium Wall
it wouldn’t be a long term answer but the division getting tougher short term isn’t a dream come true.
