  1. he took several steps in any direction? That’s more than some here advertise him capable of Could be Cody ford, could be great. Glad we took a viable swing.
  2. Almost like i said “more of a” yea aren’t getting a wart free all pro that does everything well at 59 they got a guy that wins at point of attack but isn’t as mobile. For a position that needs less, but not zero, mobility. they are all coin flips at this point. Hopefully he mauls a few guys.
  3. At least interior where he can be more of a phone booth guy. I bet Josh will sneak to his side more often
  4. Or perhaps bench as a swing backup
  5. Quicker to type the patriots and chiefs went to the Super Bowl a lot
  6. and be great chipping ends off the line and while he won’t heads up move a DE back in the run game regularly they aren’t going to collapse him regularly either
  7. bingo- he may not be the super physical mauler but he’s certainly a more capable blocker than beas or lil dirty, and he can build that part of his game up while still contributing
  8. that’s way different than adding an aging all pro though. a day 2 or 3 rookie to replace Davis next year is a different dynamic
  9. I think it’s unlikely now but neither diggs nor Davis play 100% of snaps. 3 guys splitting 2 roles isn’t crazy when fully healthy yet alone once there are tweaked ankles or hamstrings. that said, given our crowded room I’m not sure it’s great value unless you are 100% all in on this year at all costs and sort the rest out later. Which I’m not opposed to.
  10. except, not the same skill set
  11. but I’ll keep stressing that Knox is paid like Zay Jones, not like a big time pass catcher. The number feels big but it’s tweener dollars for tweener play. Good not great in the passing game. Solid but not crushing blocker. and paid like an ok blocker or catcher
  12. knox is paid like a modest pass catcher - it’s not a game breaking deal.
  13. Again, think replacement for McKenzie not replacement for Knox
  14. it’s incredibly obvious that is how he will get his start, and grow from there that said, he will still be more physical than mckenzie or such
  15. though as mentioned early in the night, 4 was the price for 25 and 3 would get them to like 22 or such. It was a predictable price. Not a guy I would’ve guessed it for but with the right coordinator our talent is a real challenge on defenses. hines and Kincaid on the field with knox/Davis/diggs creates a good bit of pressure with 5 guys that have the whole route tree or a physical run set.
  16. cole beasley in a tight ends body sounds really annoying. But probably good at football.
  17. heck sub hynes instead of cook and you are 5WR or a physical run set in the same personnel -
  18. yup - short term he’s a large slot wr instead of a fast one. dude isn’t an in-line blocker this year, he’s a super physical WR3
  19. Think red zone turnovers becoming TDs a couple of times.
  20. counter - he’s an oversized slot, instead of undersized slot like we’ve had Tight ends struggle to pick up the entirety of the pass game and blocking without live reps in practice but he can be WR3 day 1 and Knox as a traditional TE spot
  21. 2 DK sets all day
  22. If they have a couple close they can let it come towards them
  23. and giants
  24. he could’ve fallen 20 spots if not for the lions drafting like it’s the 80s
