  1. I’m just baffled. There’s clearly some hope for him but if he’s blacklisted in house I guess get anything you can
  2. Again and again I’ll say he needed to learn how to step out or slide in meaningless moments, not to stop being a dynamic runner. He should take off and we should design runs too. Just be aggressive instead of reckless when you get going. With these quotes -Josh trying to manage the sugar high better isn’t terrible though. In control but still loose is the balance we all want and exactly the balance he’s weighing here. I think the team needs a little more of a kick in the butt from him at times though
  3. Shameful that southern rock opera isn’t even in honorable mentions here. Just shameful.
  4. meh. It’s not a strength to brag about but there are guys you can scheme up and we are not seeing that. diggs-Davis-harty-Kincaid-Knox-cook should be a passable group of nfl weapons for a coordinator to create weekly passing game plans for. We are not seeing that innovation or creativity in the scheme.
  5. why are we scoring in the first half? I don’t know, we talk about playing complimentary football. I’ll be honest, I want that to mean “we talk about scoring record breaking points with our elite qb” instead of talking about avoiding mistakes in all three phases
  6. yup. He didn’t need to hurdle guys 10 yards short of sticks on 3rd down, or lower the shoulder after the first… teach the guy when to slide or step out of bounds and let him do it 6-8 times a game. Sometimes even as a called play.
  7. it’s not long ago mcdermott was a defensive coordinator… and then he got Allen and is a well respected coach the mismanagement of this piece will be remembered for a long time he needed to learn how to optimize the skill not be told to stop using it
  8. they would’ve said the same watching the bills-dolphins game. I agree we are second tier but also think we could be a team that gets hot at any given time and can beat anyone i hate to say like the chargers but that might be a good comparable to peg expectations for the year- better and worse.
  9. but I think the play calling, scheming etc… goes hand in hand with the atmosphere and energy around the team. remember how the guys used to talk about daboll, or their WR coach? im not a guy that thought daboll was the greatest ever but I do generally think that the offense is missing a cohesive identity that everyone more or less buys into. I don’t think Dorsey has created that on or off the field.
  10. we aren’t playing to a lot of guys strengths. It’s scheme Issue.
  11. the defense is so beat up… I’m only so frustrated by the defense any given week. It’s a season where offense has to carry them.
  12. I think someone might pick up on a different guy calling the plays. It’s a pretty visible task.
  13. just give the man a cup of sunny d pregame. No more, no less.
  14. We all know a public demotion like that is a big deal. Especially if it’s not the HC taking the reins.
  15. finally. He should be in a ton more down there. Dorsey has been ridiculous with this piece.
  16. it’s every drive for the whole season except for 1 i don’t even hate Murray but cook is rolling. Let him play in the big moments.
  17. it’s maddening.
  18. Let cook play inside the 10
  19. meh. I have a hard time selling this as a top 5 offense. Great output against Miami but 5(?) of the last 8(?) games have not been top 5 performances. it’s turning into the Gabe Davis of WR2s. Flashy and unreliable output that accumulates well but can disappear more than they should.
  20. The usage stats are staggering in contrast. He’s not getting the opportunity.
  21. I’d still like to see him in the red zone more. I wonder if we’ve been stubborn with that lack of usage.
  22. how to be a distraction, and unable to control yourself despite repeatedly saying he needs to not run his mouth so much?
  23. I’ll keep echoing - dawkins/thibodeaux being my offsetting and swept under the rug wouldn’t bug me. Both sides chippy and no one at risk of real injury…. so get it on record in case of continued issues and move on away from the play and after the play clobbering a guy and resulting in injury should be an ejection. The precedent it sets and behavior encouraged by lumping it all together is dangerous. That it wasn’t enven an escalated fine really does surprise me too.
  24. And with the nature of the nfl, I’m not sure makes a whole lot of sense to potentially do with guys every couple years. But such is life
  25. it’ll take him a career to afford the buy in.
