  1. I have a friend who figured out how to do it. He has a TV, a couch, a refrigerator, and a wife. All 4 work.
  2. re They love coaching. It is their life, for better or worse. -agreed Plus, they get a few months off in the offseason. -they get a few months of 8-10 hour days. There is no offseason for head coaches. Or players for that matter. Steve Spurrier and Nick Saban tried coaching in the NFL with college coach hours. Didn't work out so well.
  3. 73 years young. Better that than 43 years old.
  4. Actually Washington, in his farewell address, not only had a clue but actually warned against how far down the craphole things would go when warning against the party system. I've deleted a lot in the quotes below but the entire address is easy enough to find on the world wide web. "Let me now take a more comprehensive view, and warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party generally... The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. It agitates the community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms, kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which finds a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions..." Almost sounds prophetic.
  5. Face it, most of us would rather have had Andrews hold on to the conversion pass and take our chances with Josh and a minute and a half and overtime assured than take our chances with an on-sides kick with Baltimore only needing a field goal to win. Seriously, was there anyone who was not holding their breath before the ref signaled our ball? Being a Bills fan has its consequences. Never relaxing until the final gun is one of them.
  6. Good idea. When arguing discussing with idiots they can often drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
  7. A few of us have expressed that we would have felt better with the ball and 1:33 left than we did with the onside kick.
  8. If any fan base has endured as much heartbreak as the Bills it's the Browns. Like the Bills, 4 years in a row ending just before our super bowl run. Starting in the 86 season which ended in Denver with a 97 yard broncos touchdown drive which became known as The Drive, The Byner fumble you mentioned, again against the Broncos following the 87 season, a one point loss to the Oilers in the 88 wild card game or they would have come here for the divisional game, and losing again against the Broncos in the AFC championship game following the Harmon drop. Then they move to Baltimore and win a super bowl a few years later, pretty sure it was before getting a new Browns team.
  9. For as terrible a call as it was, we ended the game with 1 penalty for 10 yards. Just sayin.
  10. My nephew got his PHD from Ohio State. He's of the opinion that Nation Championships are nice but you can't lose four in a row to Michigan and not expect consequences

  11. I was pretty worried about that onsides kick as well. Had visions of I think it was the Dallas game in 2007.
  12. The Andrews drop brought back a bad memory for me. It occurred 35 years and 14 days after the Ronnie Harmon drop against the Browns, who would move to Baltimore and become the Ravens in 1996. You can relive these memorable moments by clicking on the watch on YouTube links. With this demon exorcised, maybe we beat KC on a 13 second drive at the end of the game. Or maybe we just blow them out. (Side note: I know it's been 35 years and I should just get over it, can't seem to though. I would have gotten kicked out of the tailgate if I dropped that pass!) Andrews drop Harmon Drop
  13. So you're saying bet the over? Useless side note, during the super bowl run the Bills were 4-1 during the regular season against Giants/Redskins/Cowboys, only loss was a meaningless week 17 loss in 1990 when home field advantage was already locked up. Not sure our exact regular season record against the Chiefs is but pretty good.
  14. This is unfortunate. But when the last administration decided to ignore our immigration laws, fixing things was bound to result in a few outliers of deserving people not being allowed in. Can't really blame Trump for not trusting the vetting of the previous administration. Programs have been suspended, not cancelled.
  15. Yeah, probably Schumer. Not my buddy.
  16. Not sure it's Schumer. I know the guy that owns the house we tailgate at (my brother runs the parking and tailgate) was going to the inauguration, kind of looks like him, can't tell for sure. He's pretty well connected, Lee Zeldin was at a couple of our tailgates when he ran for governor. Either way good stuff.
  17. Can't fault him for that. I mean, it was really cold, if he didn't think that why bother coming out for the second half?🤷‍♂️
  18. Yeah I love the "but for the turnovers" mindset. Turnovers are an integral part of the game. Not unlike putting in golf. Rory McIlroy would have won the US Open for this year if he could have made a couple 3 foot putts.
  19. Which of the remedies did you try and how did you make out?
  20. Wow there's a lot here, so let's break it down. re You are not getting a list - so your original statement that "Hegseth isn’t as qualified as some lesbians..." was an off the cuff comment based on no facts. You actually don't know of any lesbians that are more qualified than a Princeton graduate who was a platoon leader, has been awarded 2 Army Commendation Medals, a Bronze star, and has been executive director of a couple of veterans organizations. Got it. re Hegseth shouldn't even be considered. - Maybe a little green, you're entitled to your opinion. The election showed the country as a whole isn't happy with the direction it's been heading the past four years. If confirmed he will likely set the military in a different direction. re A no-name lesbian could be found that could be better - your fascination with lesbians aside (not that there's anything wrong with that,) we've been through this. You haven't been able to name any lesbians, no name or well known name, that are more qualified. re they are excluded from even applying for the job - No one can apply for cabinet positions, they are nominated by the president. re Is that wrong? A good person not being considered because of how they have sex in private. - Again with the sex thing. How people have sex in private is their own business. It is starting to sound like you want special consideration given to people because of their sexual preference. Showing favoritism to people because of their sexual orientation (or race) hasn't worked out very well, at least in my opinion. As well as apparently the opinion of the majority of Americans. re Hegseth wouldn't be even considered if he was gay. - First off you're wrong. If you don't believe me ask Bill White, Scott Bessent, Tammy Bruce, Jacob Helberg, or Art Fisher . - Secondly, and once again, you sound like you're upset that this administration appears to be making personnel decisions based on merit, not giving special consideration gays and lesbians. re Or a gay man that made a pay off for a sexual attacked. - Not quite sure what you're trying to say here, but I do know that if you're looking for perfect people in our leaders you're in the wrong world. re Hegseth will prove a millstone around this administrations neck - Hope not. If you love the country you should also hope not. Sounds like you hate Trump more than you love the country though. Hope I'm wrong about that.
  21. No, I was looking for a list of those that are more qualified than Hegseth. Perhaps you were being sarcastic with that statement? My bad if you were.
  22. Your statement suggests there are several lesbians that are more qualified than Hegseth. Please share with us that list.
  23. ? You do know he's head coach of UNC now don't you?
  24. Undoubtedly did a lot of good for a lot of people. But I don't think many Jews hold him in high esteem. As JT Adams said, there is so much good in the worst of us, and so much bad in the best of us, that it ill behooves any of us to pass judgement on any of the rest of us.
