  1. Saw this on one of the morning news shows yesterday. I'm just going to use the kids swing as a training video. Love the part where his sister makes a cameo appearance.
  2. Agreed. He's a great coach Monday thru Saturday. Sunday's aren't his best days. Taking the holding penalty instead of making them make a 4th down decision cost us valuable seconds, even if they would have gotten the first down. Tush push instead of pass play was just plain stupid. You know, coaching.
  3. SMU. 2 of Bama's losses came to 6-6 teams. The Oklahoma loss wasn't close. Both SMU losses were by 3 points, those teams that had a total of 5 losses. Plus, like KJ says, I don't think the committee wants to discourage teams from playing in conference championship games.
  4. If you're going to insult me please have the decency to use correct grammar. For your sake as well as mine. Good grammar saves lives.
  5. Anyone else catch this or am I the only one who watches network news. Anyways pretty cool. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/bills-rookie-ray-davis-reflects-on-the-brotherly-bond-that-changed-his-life/ar-AA1vq0QW?ocid=BingNewsSerp
  6. I agree, dumb rule. Know what other rule I think is every bit as dumb? The designated hitter rule. Used to enjoy a manager having to make a decision about leaving a pitcher in or pinch hitting for him during a tight game. It was actually first proposed in 1891. Rejected every time it was brought up between then and 1973, when it was given a 3 year trial. Today it is an accepted part of the game. Hope it takes as long to implement the "Golden Bat" as it did to implement the DH rule.
  7. O'Reilly had Pierce at 5th worst. Either way, both were bad. "...he showed discontent across America with his handling of slavery through the Kansas-Nebraska Act and an unfeeling approach to politics. “Franklin Pierce was a drunk … and that really affected his ability to make decisions and to even function on some days,” O’Reilly said."
  8. According to Bill O'Reilly, Biden is second worst. James Buchanan is the worst, buy a wide margin, blaming him for the Civil War.
  9. How do you turn a lawn mower in to a snow blower? Buy her a shovel.
  10. Even Rodgers called it ridiculous. "might as well play sarcastaball"
  11. It's a Wonderful Life (1946) I mean, it's a great movie and all, but my life sucks, so screw Jimmy Stewart and his damn angel.
  12. Not sure if it was the last time, but Kareem Jackson was suspended 4 games last season for this hit on (former Bill) Logan Thomas. He had been fined the previous week for a similar hit.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNOUY3oUK7k edit: somehow Thomas still makes the catch.
  13. Correct, all suspensions are without pay (otherwise it's what known as a vacation.)
  14. Chris Wallace, possibly the only moderate in the supercut, says "Lets wait and see what happens if he loses."
  15. Who could forget the sweater game. Number 2 Georgetown went to Madison Square Garden to take on number 1 St John's. St. John's was on a 19 game winning streak which started when Lou Carnesecca put on a gifted sweater near the end of a close game. For the rematch in February (St. John's had won the first meeting against then #1 Georgetown earlier that season) John Thompson found a duplicate sweater, covered it with a jacket, walked over to Lou before the game, and opened the jacket to reveal the sweater. Crowd went crazy. Georgetown went on to win handily.
  16. A lot of people like the Bing Crosby/David Bowie rendition of Little Drummer Boy. I prefer The West Wing rendition, performed by the Antrim Mennonite Choir. If you listen you might want to have some Kleenex close by.
  17. Geeze what happened to the dems in 15 years. "...you have to pay a stiff fine because you came here illegally, you have to pay back taxes, you have to try and learn English, and you have to wait in line." Getting irritated at having to press a number for English.
  18. Really not trying to get this moved to PPP, just wondering if either of you had the flu vaccine?
  19. Guess I walked in to that one with my guard down. In the words of Toby Keith, I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was!
  20. 59 years ago Arlo Guthrie was convicted of littering 3 days earlier (Thanksgiving day) https://www.massmoments.org/moment-details/arlo-guthrie-convicted-of-littering.html He spent a couple years writing a song about the ordeal. The namesake of the song died last week. RIP Alice https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/alice-brock-helped-inspire-arlo-195405657.html?fr=yhssrp_catchall For anyone interested here's the original release of Alice's Restaurant.

  23. Seems drivers licenses and insurance are as well. At least in NYS.
