  1. Play another game Play in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am alongside Cashmere Keith. Hmmmm. Tough call.
  2. re What are you doing to get out of it? - One day of mourning, that's it. Ghosted everyone yesterday. Didn't answer any calls or return any texts. Tried checking in here but was just too down so one comment on the bad spot and checked out. Paid my taxes since the day was going the suck anyways, no sense in letting that ruin another. Listened to sad songs for a couple hours. Guess what, I'm tired of feeling down. Life can be put in two categories, important stuff and unimportant stuff. While football is at the top of my list of unimportant stuff, that's where it should be. If you've let it sneak in to the important stuff category, time to reevaluate. Good lord willing my aunt, the last survivor of the previous generation, turns 100 next month. Both my parents lived past that age as well. Health, family, having a few bucks left at the end of the month rather than a few days left at then end of your money, those are the important categories. re It feels pointless to continue as a fan. Like life itself, being a Bills fan is about the journey, not the destination. This season was a fun ride while it lasted. Way more ups than downs. I get that the final down was pretty low. Time to move on. You'll be fine, you'll be back.
  3. I was shouting at the TV when I saw this and still whining to my brother about it this morning. The guy with the view of Josh's back overruled the guy that had the view of the ball. WTF?
  4. Your wife has good taste. Sadly I don't eat them any more, cut way back on sugar once my A1C hit 5.7 which is the bottom of the pre diabetes range. Butterfingers have more sugar than sugar! Down to 5.5 now.
  5. No need to go. This is the winner. You should change the topic to "second best candy bar in the world."
  6. And how about the "common sense" thing. Which makes more sense: A pandemic that originated in a town where the virus that caused the pandemic was being studied was caused by a leak in the lab where the virus was being studied. or A pandemic that originated in a town where the virus that caused the pandemic was being studied occurred naturally. Total coincidence that likely patient zero was a lab employee. Hmmmm???
  7. Actually I didn't know that. He's signed now though.
  8. Not so odd. I mean, the writing was on the wall the second Dorsey became available.
  9. I have a friend who figured out how to do it. He has a TV, a couch, a refrigerator, and a wife. All 4 work.
  10. re They love coaching. It is their life, for better or worse. -agreed Plus, they get a few months off in the offseason. -they get a few months of 8-10 hour days. There is no offseason for head coaches. Or players for that matter. Steve Spurrier and Nick Saban tried coaching in the NFL with college coach hours. Didn't work out so well.
  11. 73 years young. Better that than 43 years old.
  12. Actually Washington, in his farewell address, not only had a clue but actually warned against how far down the craphole things would go when warning against the party system. I've deleted a lot in the quotes below but the entire address is easy enough to find on the world wide web. "Let me now take a more comprehensive view, and warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party generally... The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. It agitates the community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms, kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which finds a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions..." Almost sounds prophetic.
  13. Face it, most of us would rather have had Andrews hold on to the conversion pass and take our chances with Josh and a minute and a half and overtime assured than take our chances with an on-sides kick with Baltimore only needing a field goal to win. Seriously, was there anyone who was not holding their breath before the ref signaled our ball? Being a Bills fan has its consequences. Never relaxing until the final gun is one of them.
  14. Good idea. When arguing discussing with idiots they can often drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
  15. A few of us have expressed that we would have felt better with the ball and 1:33 left than we did with the onside kick.
  16. If any fan base has endured as much heartbreak as the Bills it's the Browns. Like the Bills, 4 years in a row ending just before our super bowl run. Starting in the 86 season which ended in Denver with a 97 yard broncos touchdown drive which became known as The Drive, The Byner fumble you mentioned, again against the Broncos following the 87 season, a one point loss to the Oilers in the 88 wild card game or they would have come here for the divisional game, and losing again against the Broncos in the AFC championship game following the Harmon drop. Then they move to Baltimore and win a super bowl a few years later, pretty sure it was before getting a new Browns team.
  17. For as terrible a call as it was, we ended the game with 1 penalty for 10 yards. Just sayin.
  18. My nephew got his PHD from Ohio State. He's of the opinion that Nation Championships are nice but you can't lose four in a row to Michigan and not expect consequences

  19. I was pretty worried about that onsides kick as well. Had visions of I think it was the Dallas game in 2007.
  20. The Andrews drop brought back a bad memory for me. It occurred 35 years and 14 days after the Ronnie Harmon drop against the Browns, who would move to Baltimore and become the Ravens in 1996. You can relive these memorable moments by clicking on the watch on YouTube links. With this demon exorcised, maybe we beat KC on a 13 second drive at the end of the game. Or maybe we just blow them out. (Side note: I know it's been 35 years and I should just get over it, can't seem to though. I would have gotten kicked out of the tailgate if I dropped that pass!) Andrews drop Harmon Drop
  21. So you're saying bet the over? Useless side note, during the super bowl run the Bills were 4-1 during the regular season against Giants/Redskins/Cowboys, only loss was a meaningless week 17 loss in 1990 when home field advantage was already locked up. Not sure our exact regular season record against the Chiefs is but pretty good.
  22. This is unfortunate. But when the last administration decided to ignore our immigration laws, fixing things was bound to result in a few outliers of deserving people not being allowed in. Can't really blame Trump for not trusting the vetting of the previous administration. Programs have been suspended, not cancelled.
  23. Yeah, probably Schumer. Not my buddy.
  24. Not sure it's Schumer. I know the guy that owns the house we tailgate at (my brother runs the parking and tailgate) was going to the inauguration, kind of looks like him, can't tell for sure. He's pretty well connected, Lee Zeldin was at a couple of our tailgates when he ran for governor. Either way good stuff.
  25. Can't fault him for that. I mean, it was really cold, if he didn't think that why bother coming out for the second half?🤷‍♂️
