  1. While the reason for the non-conformance was not released, the likelyhood is that, through so many strikes at such a fast swing speed, his driver face became too thin and was deemed nonconforming. One of the limits set by the USGA and the R&A is on a driver’s Characteristic Time (CT). CT measures the time it takes for a clubface to contact the ball and how long it spends in contact with the ball after impact. This is a measurement of the springiness of the clubface, which will be a factor in how far the ball can fly after being struck. There is a limit to the number of microseconds allowed when tested.
  2. I'm a bachelor and always order the large. Just think it makes a better pie than the medium. Wrap up what's left and straight to the freezer. Air fryer, 275/15 minutes. Glad to see no mention of the leftover going in the microwave, either oven/toaster over/air fryer or eat cold. You guys are pros!
  3. Not saying this is or isn't true, just saying it might be wise to think before choosing protest leading terrorist sympathizers and wife beating MS-13 gang members that invaded the country illegally as your poster boys for not following protocol. It hurts cases that might be legitimate.
  4. re doing it legally - All 4 of my grandparents came to America legally in the late 1800/early 1900's - 2 from Italy, 1 from Poland, 1 from what was then Russia. The paperwork might take longer today, but do you really think they had an easy time doing things the right way? Or that they didn't face prejudices once they got here? re deporting people with green cards - Those with green cards and student visas are allowed to visit here. Before being granted student visas or green cards there are application and interview processes. If the interviewee says they intend to help take over buildings and lead student protests in order to show support for designated terrorist groups, or they withhold pertinent information on their applications, they are not going to be granted those visitor documents. If they participate or lead those activities, or pertinent information that was withheld from the application is found subsequent to their submission, those visitor documents will be revoked. Or not. Guess the courts are trying to sort it out.
  5. Aisle seats are a must for me as well. If they aren't for you yet, they will be.
  6. If I was on a jury and he was the defendant, I'd vote guilty on looks alone.
  7. It's actually what they didn't do that's the problem, not what they did do because they didn't do much if anything. Point taken though. My brother lives in Asheville. A lifelong Democrat, even he admits that more was done in the 3 days following Trump's visit than in the 3 months following Biden's.
  8. In 2 days it will be 2 years since the passing of one of my all time favorites, Gordon Lightfoot. While he is no longer with us, as the song says, the legend lives on. Sunday afternoon I had the privilege of listening to The Lightfoot Band for over 2 hours at the Theatre at Innovation Square. This is not a tribute band. Outside of the lead singer, the band consists entirely of old band members. Lead guitarist Carter Lancaster, who started playing with Gordon in 2011, is the newest member of the band. Rick Haynes, Barry Keane, and Mike Heffernan all played with him for over 40 years. Andy Mauck, who takes on the roll of Gordon, sounds eerily like him. They will be playing in several locations throughout Ontario starting in mid August. If you're a Gordon Lightfoot fan you should check out a show if you get the chance. You won't be disappointed. https://thelightfootband.com/

  9. Stock up - As far as Dems go, I kind of like Slotkin. Seems to be a centrist. With a couple years to get her feet wet in the Senate, why not? She'll bring as much political experience as Obama with a lot more military experience For Republicans, I've always liked Mike Huckabee. Actually voted for him this year. doubt he'll run though. Stock down - Totally disagree with your take on Buttigieg. He took two months off for maternity leave in the middle of a shipping crisis. While entitled to it, people in those positions don't get to take that much time off. Took him 3 weeks to visit East Palestine after the train derailment there. Trump visited first, which actually may have hastened his visit.
  10. Well, no wrestlers or rugby players this year.
  11. If overtime possession rules change from coin flip to jump ball we're all set.
  12. I was thinking the same thing. Not a bad thing!
  13. Thanks for posting. re I was 9 - me too re drunk - I wouldn't start drinking for another 7 years. Late bloomer I guess. Beat San Diego 30-3 at home, 27-24 on the road, and we were still underdogs. Talk about no respect. One other thing I noticed was the interception by Stratton. Awesome pick. Everyone knows about the hit heard around the world he put on Keith Lincoln. Chargers were driving in the second half and that pick turned the second half around almost as much as the hit on Lincoln turned the first half around.
  14. No Actually I stand corrected, looks like Sherpa does.
  15. As I said on page 3 of this thread, there are 2 possibilities: 1) A pandemic that originated in a town where the virus that caused the pandemic was being studied was caused by a leak in the lab where the virus was being studied. or 2) A pandemic that originated in a town where the virus that caused the pandemic was being studied occurred naturally. Total coincidence that likely patient zero was a lab employee. The only thing that perplexes me more than #2 being offered as a possibility is that some people actually believed it! But this is a government tried to convince us that that the 9/11/2012 Benghazi attacks were a result of a spontaneous uprising rather than a planned event. Total coincidence that it occurred on 9/11.
  16. She's actually from my hometown (and still my home) Irondequoit, so everyone in town is a Rory fan. Now that he's a member of Bills Mafia, all of WNY is a Rory fan.
  17. Passing on Brian Orakpo to draft Aaron Maybin. What a great first step he had!
  18. Let me ask you this. Is he on his way to one of the 10 best seasons of all time? He's won 3 of the six tournaments he's played in, also has a 5th place. All loaded fields. Unarguably he's won the biggest 2 so far this year, TPC and Masters. Arguably the AT&T Pro Am is the third biggest so far. What would it take to make it a top 10 season. Would another major, signature even, and FedEx championship do it given his limited schedule?
  19. Never saw Dazed and Confused but used to bond with my nephew watching Boston Public. Died a few days ago but didn't see anything on it until today, apologies if this has been posted. https://variety.com/2025/film/news/nicky-katt-dead-boston-public-1236368189/
  20. Was good at everything from baseball to soccer. But could never get the hang of swimming. Never passed intermediate swim in spite of growing up with a pool in my back yard. Spent a lot of time in the shallow end.
  21. That's one way of looking at it. I prefer to think that they're 1 of an elite 8 teams still playing today!
  22. Solid point. She was in her mid 60's when the show was popular. Certainly aged well.
  23. Can't tell from this, are you a Ginger or Mary Ann guy?
  24. What I find amazing is that evidence between cell phones and brain cancer is inconclusive. These studies have been going on for decades.
