  1. Ordinary People Shawshank Redemption Field of Dreams Pulp Fiction My Cousin Vinny Good Will Hunting Edit: No one mentioned Good Will Hunting, so I replaced My Cousin Vinny with it. Both are great.
  2. The new driver clearly is contributing to his recent struggles. Missing everything to the right. He'll be free all weekend to work things out, maybe try a few different drivers. His driver was not tested Masters' week, but it did pass in March. A third of the field is tested each week. Results are supposed to be confidential, he refused interviews PGA week because the press leaked confidential information. I'll make room for the possibility that missing the Memorial had more to do with letting things die down than not wanting to play 3 weeks in a row. What I won't make room for is your suggestion that he was suspended. This was a ticket for gong 42 in a 35, not 100.
  3. Charles Romes. 9 year starter at corner, 4th in team career interceptions. Not bad for a 12th rounder. Don't think his post NFL life has gone so well.
  4. Who cares? wasn't an option so I didn't vote either.
  5. re Is this a low-key suspension by the PGA Tour?? - No. He likes to play the week before majors, he doesn't like to play 3 weeks in a row. He's playing at the Canadian Open next week. re Just a little more "smoke" that gives my theory that his illegal driver was more than from "regular use" a little more juice. - It really doesn't. re I remember a few years back when Dustin Johnson "announced" that he was going to take a six month break from the Tour to recharge himself, and the PGA went along with it until it leaked that he was actually suspended for six months for failing two drug tests showing Cocaine use. - I stand corrected. There you have it. Must be a one week suspension for Rory, nothing to do with his not wanting to play 3 weeks in a row. re Whenever Rory does come back, if he is not playing as lights out as he was before this situation, you really have to start to wonder.... - Sounds like you've already made up your mind.
  6. We're not that imaginative. The black cat is named Blackie. The skinny cat is named Skinny. Nayla is the outlier, we took her in when the original owner had no other choice.
  7. Reminds me of what I said to a fat waistline challenged girl when we got in a scuffle in 3rd grade🤣
  8. "Truly a pathetic effort. It would have been hard to do worse if he tried." What a brilliant statement, filled with examples to prove it.
  9. Ironically, I think most who have passionate disagreements on PPP to the point where it seems they genuinely dislike folks they haven't met would, if they were to meet at a tailgate before a game, get along with those same people. If politics comes up they might even respect differing opinions and agree to disagree before changing the subject.
  10. Couple years ago a the vendor of a friend gave her a bottle of one of Drew Bledsoe's cabs. It was really good. We looked it up on the world wide web, cheapest we could find it for was $55. A bit out of my price range, at least for now. Prefer to stay in your $25 range except for holidays.
  11. Fortunately I'm a fan of Washington state and California reds as well as New York state and Vermont cheddar.
  12. I do miss the routine of a steady diet of 1:00 home games. Made planning tailgates so much easier, as well as the ride from Rochester. Edit: We did have a home prime time game that year. The Nov. 23rd game against the Jets was moved to Monday in Detroit. Still was a home game though.
  13. Jags. Links to both the Fitz to TO and Allen to Davis 98 yarders are on page 1 of this thread.
  14. Same with Rich Gannon. More like below average until he was suddenly really good but you get the picture.
  15. Neither would have made it past the Christmas break today. Shows that aren't immediate hits are canceled.
  16. The title was changed to include players with 2 year stints. How about some love for Aaron Maybin?
  17. Record has since been tied by Gabe Davis, 98 yards. My 1 year nominee, more like 6 or 7 games, was the coach at the time, Perry Fewell ?sp Edit: Here's the Allen to Davis pass
  18. Ouch! Doesn't sound like such a fun fact, more like learn from my mistake, don't do this!
  19. When I'm commissioner teams will get to select their bye week in reverse order of their draft order.
  20. Article IV, section 4 states "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion;..." Invading the country, then asking for due process under its constitution is like stealing an item from a store, then trying to hold the manufacturer responsible for the warranty.
  21. Where in the constitution are these rights of non-citizens addressed? The only statement I can find that addresses non citizens is in Article III clause 2 section 2 "...cases between U.S. citizens and foreign states and their citizens, come under federal jurisdiction. The trials will be in the state where the crime was committed."
  22. Right. No chance he wants to avoid distractions whilst trying to win another major championship. Out of curiosity, what rule did he break? Never mind, rhetorical question, he didn't break any rule.
  23. re towel penalty - It was Craig Stadler that had the towel penalty. It was reported by a fan. Fans can no longer call in to report a penalty. Probably more a result of an incident involving Lexi Thompson than the Stadler towel thing. re Rory answering for an illegal club - Again, he did NOT use an illegal club. And again, saying that he did over and over again won't change that.
  24. Rules are rules. And facts are stubborn things. See: John Adams (the former president that successfully defended British soldiers after the Boston Massacre.) And the fact is he did NOT break any rules. Saying that he did again and again won't change that.
  25. Your bias is evident in the title. There is no evidence he has been playing with an illegal driver. None, zero. While he is sure to face questions about it, it is not obvious if he used the same driver in Masters or Players Championship. But even if he was using the same driver, it is likely that the driver was legal at the time. From the article in your link: "...while the CT limits are clear, it's also true that a driver can be conforming one week and fall into a non-conforming state the next week through general use...That change could take hundreds of hits, could take a dozen or might just be one; it depends on how close to the limit the driver was in the first place...the difference between a conforming driver and a non-conforming driver, particularly in this instance, is probably a foot or two at most. Not yards."
