  1. In another thread someone equated Metcalf w/ David Boston. While he has some incredible numbers, the injury history and route agility scare me off. I also don't want M Brown, way too small. Can you say Roscoe Parrish and Tavon Austin? I'm liking Campbell, Samuel or Harry in the 2nd and then snag Anthony Johnson with one of our 4ths.
  2. I agree with you, there's no way Murray or Haskins lasts to 9. I do like this scenario as we'd get TEN 2nd/3rd at least. However a trade down between #11-15 is more likely for someone wanting their pick of either Lock or Jones.
  3. That's actually a very informative link...
  4. To that point have they made a 1st or 2nd round pick in the past two drafts that didn't involve a move up or down? T. White (down), Z. Jones (up), Dawkins (up), Allen (up), Edmunds (up)... all of them
  5. I'm a bit confused,...I don't recall Beane getting a lot of heat / slack when that trade was announced. I think most people thought he got a great return.
  6. Yes very early... also before the Jets trade-up to #3 and the Bills trade to #12 w/ Bengals. Here's his final one. I don't subscribe to ESPN, so can't see all the pics beyond the first two http://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2018/insider/story/_/id/23317544/final-nfl-mock-draft-2018-mel-kiper-first-round-pick-rankings-draft-order-32-picks
  7. Absolutely absurd write-up. Correct, no mention of Levi Wallace. Where 3 Bills rookies (Allen, Foster, Wallace) would have been 1st round selection in the "redraft" article they published just last week. And I'm so sick of the accuracy topic on Allen. The same redraft had him picked at #3 instead of #7, so that's higher, right? Has to be an 'A', lazy journalism.
  8. Some interesting ideas hear... some good thinking!
  9. Short of being able to get a potential first rounder for Howard and I'm not sure they could...I don't see how they will be able to add sufficient draft capital. They would likely need to do some kind of deal to move way back in the first round to get perhaps another first rounder for next year, like we did w/ KC while picking up Tre White. If they make all their cuts that are suggested and clear up enough cap space then they could potentially take on bad contracts, similar to Osweiler deal for Cleveland to gain more pics.
  10. I think he is for a few reasons: -- He's had substantial and impressive playoff stats, so that's added into the consideration -- He's played for 9 years, dominant in all of them, while Terrell Davis only 7, dominant for only 4 -- Crazy as it is, Brady would be the only other Pats offensive player inducted throughout the dynasty (Moss doesn't really count for Pats). Every other "dynasty" team had multiple inductees First ballot
  11. Correct, here is value chart. For Redskins to move up to #9 the value is net 300 pts. Based on the Skins remaining picks the trade would likely be the Bills 1st (#9) and 4th (#105) for the Redskins 1st (#15) and 2nd (#48). Total Bills points on this is 1350 + 84 = 1434 Total Skins points on this is 1050 + 440 = 1490 Washington pays a slight premium for moving up for their QB https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.asp?RequestTeam=BUF
  12. The latter... I have no inside info
  13. Nothing wrong w/ Ferrell, but this mock they has QBs picked at #10 and #13. I have little doubt the Redskins want to move to #9 in this scenario pretty badly. If we got an extra 2nd or high 3rd I would have to believe we would do that.
  14. Exactly,... Jordan Palmer didn't exactly have an illustrious NFL career
  15. Can make PI replays only through a booth review as requested by replay assistant. Perhaps only in the last 5 min of a game??
  16. I was thinking back to the WR coaches we've had and he's the only one who stands out. I recall reading several very positive articles on him back in those days. Looked it up, he's on the Cowboys staff now...
  17. I'm definitely in favor of trading down and getting more, given all of our needs, but that depends on a bunch of things. Several teams could jump ahead of the Bills as well. If say 2-3 QBs were selected in the top 8, he might just sit there and have someone drop to him that he can't resist?
  18. I honestly don't think he can be elite anymore. The Bills need to focus on being a team on the rise and not waste their time with something like that. Assuming Clay will be cut, I'd rather see Croom continue to grow, give Logan Thomas one more year to see if he can arrive and of course, I expect we'll draft a rookie in the top half of the draft that will need to be developed. I don't see him as a respected veteran who can teach younger players like Lorax, Kyle or Derrick Anderson fit in their roles. We'll already have Shady as another vet that is likely in his last year w/ Bills. I don't see how he can help. I couldn't care less that Buffalo is his home town
  19. I'm surprised this thread isn't getting lit up more as this also opens up more opportunities to either trade back, which everyone is alway clamoring for or more QBs taken ahead of Bills #9 pick... either way good!
  20. I'm good with letting Shady play out his deal and split time with a young back who can take over after next year. Regarding Clay I'd much rather have Croom, plus give Thomas 1 more year to develop with a rookie draft pick. I still think Thomas has the ability to grow more. In addition I really liked that fake punt pass he did during the season. I would have him in that position on every punt.
  21. You do realize you're asking a bunch of men, don't you??
  22. Looked just like the guy we drafted in those highlights!
  23. I was thinking that as well, but didn't want to jinx the guy. Looks almost like a TE
