If TO wasn't such a negative locker room personality, I'd love to see if he could do it somewhere. Not sure if its possible at this stage of his life, but if he really ran a 4.4 he might be able to play somewhere. Maybe try CFL?
Thats a good analogy... hopefully doesn't come to fruition. The other one that it reminds me of is Hackett wanting to run a very fast, no huddle w/ EJ at QB
The other observation I'll make staring at this line-up a bit is how relatively above average our Safety play has been throughout the team's history. While the players selected are good, none would ever be close to the HOF or even 5-7x Pro-Bowlers.... makes me excited that we seem to finally have a pair now that might make this line-up one day!
By Paul, do you mean Paup... Bryce Paup??
Yeah,... Steve Tasker has to be on this team
Also, not to nit pick, but the team has to have a long snapper, that unfortunately takes a spot from somewhere else... Adam Lingner??
1. Undisciplined ST led to the loss, which has to be blamed on coaching.
2. Flutie should have started, its unheard of to be sat down for the playoffs in the manner that happened. With that said, RJ came off the field having led what should have been the game winning drive
3. As much as we want to blame officials, there is not a stitch of evidence that the lateral was forward... replays show that there was a referee on the sideline with a near-perfect view of the lateral and he immediately indicated that it was legal. Lets stop w/ the referee stuff on this one.
They blew it!
-- Rex Ryan hire messing up a very good defense
-- Drafting Maybin was questionable right out of the chute
-- Hiring Marv as GM with the sub-bullet of the "cash-to-the-cap" policy basically communicating that we weren't going do what it takes to win
-- To be determine yet... passing on both Mahomes and Watson last year, while trading up for Allen this year... we'll have to evaluate in a few years whether that progression was a monumental whiff or not?!?
Yeah, I can't fault the Jets for that move.... if they sat at #6 its very likely at least we would have jumped ahead of them and maybe the Cards as well. Clearly they had a preference and weren't content with just one of the four regardless. They got the guy at #3 who everyone believed would be #1 up until a day before the draft.
Would love to end up with a Drew Brees / Philip Rivers situation, with the difference being that we can trade AJ for a haul as he's under contract next year...
At the time Losman was well-thought of.... Maybe, I agree... everyone knew they wanted Sammy and he was also thought to be a can't miss stud. Speaking of draft decisions, how about picking Willis Magahee in the first round for a team that had other needs
Thurman, OJ, Shady, Jackson... I think in that order. All the others are in a lower echelon. Freddy I've elevated for how incredibly he fit into what is Buffalo... he embodied that. He as an outstanding back, scratching and clawing for everything.
I was thinking the same thing... usually there's a list released and plenty of discussion about these guys that I've never heard of. Always interesting to hear about who might become dark horse surprises!
Bills have advantage over other teams looking to trade up as they can offer 2 firsts... they don't have much of any advantage in getting a better (less expensive) deal to get into the top five. It all has to add up on the draft value chart and to get to #2 may even have to pay a premium. The other teams can't get there as easily as they don't have the draft capital we have.
Actually if the WR is the GOAT then that by logical extension the QB position has been solved. No path to have a WR/GOAT w/o a big-time QB, so its a two-for-one deal
