Hate to say it...Tyrod will be back
benderbender replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tyrod is Fitzpatrick: a good guy with great character, but a limited skill set. And hoping for him to suddenly vastly improve his game mid-career is as productive as pissing into the wind. -
If the Bills part ways with Rick Dennison
benderbender replied to TigerJ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Regardless of what point in the season Dennison realized that his future was even remotely linked to Tyrod’s performance, you would have thought he would have changed the offense to suit his QB’s capabilities. Yes, Tyrod is VERY limited skill wise. Why would Dennison make every gamplan NOT taking that into account? Frank Reich has more common sense. I would love for him to be brought on. -
A friend and fellow Bills fan told me Sunday night that the best thing about making the playoffs is that “now Cowherd HAS to talk about Buffalo.” I told him “not a chance.” I just don’t understand the obsession of some Bills fans for national media acceptance. From Colin Cowherd in particular. It’s my personal opinion he does show prep using major media market numbers and jersey sales as a base. It’s a formula that obviously works for him. Mention certain players and teams despite their relevance to actual news (i.e. the time devoted to discussing Dallas even after they were eliminated). And who am I to tell his millions of listeners he’s wrong? It works. Hell, I listen at times during my commute. Personally, I spend the few dollars to subscribe to Buffalo News and the Democrat and Chronicle just so I don’t have to waste the time of sifting through the Nationally syndicated’s leavings just to get some Bills info. I already own a cat. I do enough poop scooping. The Bills will be national news when they earn it. And it feels as though we’ve turned the corner and that’s not too far off.

Required Listen For ALL True Survivors Of Drought
benderbender replied to MILFHUNTER#518's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Amen. I’m around the same age as him. I grew up in Rochester and live in Virginia. The stars aligned for me to go to a game this year. And I’m sure a lot of it was just finally being there, but I’ve been telling everyone since that this team this year felt different. That it wouldn’t be just another drought year. Although it was ridiculously close to being one. But god it’s great that it isn’t. -
Roll Call: Going to Jacksonville

I hope so many Bills fan travel that they’ll have to remove the tarp off of the previously unsold seat sections in their stadium -
Jon Gruden interested in Bucs job?
benderbender replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You don’t need Nostradamus to tell you that ESPN is trimming the fat and winds of change favor making a move for either more money or job security. I think he will take a coaching job. Money over location. Worst case scenario he bombs and takes another commentating job. -
Rob Gronkowski doesn't forget Bills passed on him
benderbender replied to Bill51390's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The premise is complete BS. Unless there’s an interview with his agent stating that he had offered a team friendly deal to us at any point in his career this is just another woulda coulda shoulda thread that some love to torture themselves with. -
Does the Miami rivalry still matter?
benderbender replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I shudder to think what Marino could have done with a run game. Much like our inept front office was NE’s best friend for the past 18 years, MIA’s lack of offensive foresight was our gift in the 90s -
Context is hard, right?

It if makes you feel any better, the only way we’ll make the playoffs is by other teams being more incompetent than ours.

Am I the only Bills fan going to the Pats game
benderbender replied to Behindenemylines's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was at the Denver game week 3 and it had to be at least 40% orange jerseys. But they were the most restrained opposing fans I’ve seen considering the 100 degree weather and the relatively few but loud and obnoxiously drunk homers. Something tells me Cheatriot fans aren’t nearly that classy. -
Talking Proud versus the Shout song
benderbender replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While we’re on the subject, how did Seven Nation Army sneak into every kickoff at every football game ever? -

I knew Maclin was going to help us out eventually

More than the decision to punt, the decision to take a time out to think about it, and STILL not go for it was the kicker.

They become dynasties by filming other teams practices, stealing playbooks, manipulating game balls, making substitutions that the league makes illegal the next season, having rules made specifically for their QB, etc.

The same that shot Liberty Valance

Darnold is in a hell of a situation. If he comes out, he risks being taken by Cleveland or the Giants. A huge gamble

The game we lost to the Steelers 3rd stringers. The Mckickreturn fumble game The Cleveland Monday night game when EJ was driving and injured his knee. It felt like Trent Edwards injury. As if his potential was injured too.

I feel a win in KC today to get hopes soaring again only to crash as we get housed at home the next week. Then hopes skyrocket again as we rack up wins against the Colts and Dolphins. Then another loss at the Pats. But we have a shot at the last wildcard spot with help if we only beat the Dolphins in week 17. And not only do we lose, we do it in the most typical Bills way possible. And of course the help we needed didn’t happen anyway. A final kick when down. Thus ends the most painful season in recent memory as written by Stephen King.

What hurts the most... Lost opportunity.
benderbender replied to MTBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This one hurts more than other years to me. I knew that we had new coaching staff and nobody really believed in Tyrod, so I expected a down year. Then the wife surprised me with tickets to the Denver game. 10.5 hours drive each way and I was drinking the kool aid at 2-1 and looking back, it was set up for heartache as a Bills fan. -
