  1. I tried not to have a favorite wr predraft bc there were so many choices there was a small chance my guy got picked. Unfortunately I landed on Worthy as my guy. He is not just a speed guy and outperformed AD Mitchell last year. That said it's annoying the the narrative is the Bills "let the Chiefs get him" He was pick 27. There were many other teams that could have taken him if they wanted him.
  2. I'd be surprised if knox wasn't back I just don't think it'll be at 14 per. He and Josh are boys so I could see a pay cut to stick around. 14 for the #2 te is just too steep to stick imo.
  3. For sure Milano and Von account for 40 million have to imagine those numbers change. Knox is 14 and I don't think he sees that either. Finally next year is allegedly the Josh renegotiation year. I doubt he goes in with a 60 million cap hit.
  4. Mason Crosby had by far his worst year with bojo holding as well. Maybe he has since figured it out but it was a known weakness. Also it was a knock on Araiza coming out as he didnt have experience with it.
  5. You do realize the "why your team sucks" are written as tongue in cheek criticism of each team right? They are written from the standpoint of being the most negative you can be.
  6. I wonder how different this thread would be if the carolina qb didn't short arm the throw when Hardy blew the coverage. Should have been a long td but the throw was poor. I was also surprised by the cut however if he is truly injured I expect fully he will be re-signed. I also expect/think a couple of guys (maybe toohill and morrow) are cut for a couple of claims.
  7. I thought bothroyd popped a couple of times this preseason. I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the ps.
  8. I get that logic I just don't like it lol. If Collins is playing you're screwed anyway so I'd rather they go with the youth and take the chance. If the vet you speak of becomes available you can still make that move.
  9. I don't really think Collins having experience matters when he is so limited and frankly not good anymore. I spent some time thinking about the 53 recently and it was harder yet more fun than I expected. Here are some differences I see: I would keep Davidson and in turn release Gilliam. I know it isn't likely but Gilliam is such a limited contributor offensively I think Davidson can be the 3rd TE and have Morris fill the H-Back/ST Ace role. More realistically, I would be okay with cutting Collins and keeping Davidson. I had Hamler over Shavers. I know Shavers has had a great camp but here is my thought process on this - Hamler can play but usually gets hurt. I would keep Hamler until the inevitable and then promote Shavers from the PS. I think Edwards gets cut but is immediately resigned once someone (Bishop maybe) goes to IR. With Bishop being injured I find it difficult to think they will keep effectively 3 safeties for week 1.
  10. What kind of stuff did they have for the kids. I'm trying to get them to camp and work on making them bills fans but if I'm going to bore them for 2 hours it'll have the opposite effect lol.
  11. I am a huge McD supporter. He has literally never lost a playoff game to a bad team/team that wasn't as good or better than the Bills. If they had lost to the Steelers last year, or the dolphins the year before, I would see the point in moving on. The Bills have lost to the other 2 best qbs in the nfl. They aren't losing to scrubs. The Chiefs are back to back super bowl champs. Losing to them sucks but everyone has lost to them the last 2 years in the playoffs. I know others have already answered you but I can't resist piling on, he has done this. With Tyrod Taylor of all people. Who is more accomplished in the league? Tyrod or Joe Flacco? Your top notch rebuttal of "doesn't count" is amazing. Buffalo was a dumpster fire and Allen/McD have taken them from laughingstock to perennial championship contender. That's multiple levels!
  12. My biggest complaint is beane has missed on true difference makers. Studs that can be game wreckers. Take a look at all pros and pro bowls for super bowl teams compared to the bills the last few years. Chiefs had 3 first team all pros and 49ers had 7 total 5 1st and 2 2nd teamers. The Bills had 1 on the 2nd team. Year before chiefs had 6 eagles had 6 and Bills had 2. Year before rams 3 bengals 1 and bills 2. The depth on the Bills has been really good. The lack of top end talent imo is why they haven't been able to take the next step.
  13. I don't think these values reflect what will happen after drafts start for real. Allen will go for way more that $24. In general I am targeting Allen in all my drafts and will pay a premium for him. If I miss on him I'll target cook but won't overpay for him. I love Kincaid this year. Te is usually a crapshoot and I think he has a big year for his draft slot. If coleman or Shakir drop ill throw a dart at them but I don't want to rely on starting them week to week.
  14. I appreciate what you guys are doing @PBF81 and @MasterStrategist but are you only reviewing targets or are you reviewing every route he runs in the game?
  15. I LOVE this. Here's why: 1. Having a formal official around will help the players with rules and understanding them. 2. This will help the coaches understand why calls were made to help prep the team better. 3. Parry comes with knowledge of other ref tendencies. Who likes to call what and who lets things slide. 4. Parry getting a cushy gig with the Bills will hopefully get officialls to go easier on the Bills knowing one of their own is being taken care of (yes pure unadulterated speculation but the world is not what you know but who you know). I see zero negative to this hire and only positives. What a forward thinking move by the Bills!
  16. Just to bust your balls a bit... It is funny you are posting this on May 13th during the deadest period in the NFL calendar on a team fan board. We are the reason it is 24/7 365. We are the degenerates they are catering to lol.
  17. I think daily during the offseason might be a bit much but who really knows. I don't think there is any harm in trying as it would liven up the board a bit. Seeing the Diontae Johnson thread still being on the front page is what drove me to finally chime in lol. I did have an idea and this is as good a place as any to drop it.... I think a weekly thread during the season for buying and selling tickets would be useful. I know there is a separate forum but it is a ghost town and I think it would help everyone involved to have it on the main page. This would help resale tickets go to Bills fans and allow people to buy from trusted posters.
  18. Sure but just as easily the bills could have had Coleman, Legette, Worthy, and Pearsall all grouped together and felt safe they were getting a guy they wanted at 32 plus picking up capital. Knowing team needs though and seeing that sf and balt likely didnt need or want an x receiver maybe they took their chances and would have settled for if things went really sideways.
  19. They were down 3 guys and 1 of them left. If dodson had come back i would agree with you. Specter is what he is at this point (he was hurt but hadn't really been relied on all year to that point) and Matakavich also left. I think ulofoshio will replace matakavich on st and save a ton of cap dollars while also offering a chance to be a piece on defense. Besides that his name is so fun to say! It has long been one of my complaints that the Bills have guys who are jags instead of having young guys who can possibly develop. My other concern was the softness and the Bills added physicality with this draft so on those 2 accounts I am pretty happy with how it all played out.
  20. After having to start klein last year i think it was clear lb was a need. I know many people wanted to double up at wr but when you go down the line of kincaid, coleman, shakir, samuel, cook, and knox, you are talking about someone fighting to be the 6th target at best. Lastly the Bills have a 5th round dart throw at wr on the roster already in shorter. I don't know that they wanted another late round developmental guy.
  21. The one issue I have with analytics in football is there is so much context. What are the receivers expected to do, what are the reads for the qb, how GOOD is the qb, how much time does the qb have to let the route develop, and so on. Coleman was in the group of receivers that I was okay with being drafted. The trade downs were just a cherry on top but the thing I look for when watching college is guys who can take over the game. Coleman did that in the LSU game, against an SEC opponent he was the best player on the field. With 2 other guys who would go in the first round at receiver and the heisman trophy winner. He also took over the SU game (admittedly a much weaker opponent) and his one handed grab was an absolute thing of beauty. Time will tell but he has as good a shot as any wr drafted being successful in part because of the situation he finds himself in. Yes and no. Obviously not a great list to find yourself on however, how many of these guys were thought of as high round picks? There are a ton of names on there that I don't recognize and many of those that I do were mid to late round picks. Additionally, AD Mitchell and Xavier Legette who many wanted are both lower than Coleman on this list. So if it concerns you for Coleman it should also concern you for them. Lastly, this must not be a stat the Bills pay much mind to. I see Shorter and McCloud on there lol.
  22. The play at 36 seconds is so much a bills play. Qb almost gets sacked and ducks out of to throw a quick toss to the hb. He takes it to house! its so easy to envision that on an upcoming sunday.
  23. Looking at this draft I came away with the same impression. The Bills are looking to get more physical which is important come playoff time. Also I'm wondering if this is the Bills getting ahead of the curve. Defenses had the upperhand last year as they got smaller and faster to combat the passing explosion. The Bills started building a big physical offense to perhaps bully other teams. Last thing to throw in: this is another guy who will be incredibly easy to root for which is one of my favorite things about the Bills. So many guys seem like fun loving good people. His press conference immediately made me like him and I can see the fit with Josh's personality.
  24. Isnt this a bit of an unfair exercise where we know who will still be available so we can play around with combinations?
  25. Case in point the coleman thread is longer than the other 9 picks combined lol. Weird i can't remove that tag...
