Jordan Poyer Discussion - Does he stay?
Malazan replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm less concerned about Hyde without Poyer than I was about Poyer without Hyde. Hyde has his 'football sense' and knowledge to fall back on. He's been the QB of defense in getting guys lined up and helping them diagnose pre-snap. The concern for Hyde (like Poyer) is much more about how much his mental ability can compensate for the decreased physical ability as he ages. -
..but Darius went on to be a domin... err.. nm.

Jets pursuit of Rodgers is fueling bills offseason focus
Malazan replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall
Can someone tell me what the Bills offseason focus is? -
Hyde was a huge loss when he went out. More than Von Miller imo. His ability to run the complicated defensive scheme was invaluable.

Diggs unfollows Buffalo, follows Cowgirls 🤷♂️
Malazan replied to DaggersEOD's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree with Diggs. In 2020, the Bills put in the work in the offseason (away from the team). It's time to have an offseason like that again. -
Rodgers taking 60 million to retire in NYC would be amusing.

when they trade him the Broncos for like 16 first round picks.. he's gonna look like a genius.

Leslie Frazier "taking a year off from coaching" per Bills PR

It felt like he already took a year off. -
The Guardian Cap/ Much needed head protection/ Cleat design change
Malazan replied to Figster's topic in The Stadium Wall
They won't do that. The players would like to have their cake and to eat it too. Add on the horrendous union leadership they've had under Smith and Tretter and you don't have any adults at the wheel watching out for the players when they have conflicting self interests. -

The NFL isn't the one standing in the way of a lot of 'safety' improvements. It's the players themselves. They have rejected previous improvements to equipment because they worry it may cost them an iota of performance and this money. -
Byron Jones - Dolphins CB - Says He Can't Play Anymore
Malazan replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep, for all his cluster he would do it all over again for the money. -
Well, that person wasn't Bieniemy. If you're building a donut delivery operation that's going to keep McClappy constantly supplied with donuts then Bieniemy is your guy. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Why didn't they give him a call last season? Probably had more fight in him than our line did. R.I.P. You Dastardly Bastard.
-
I think you're overlooking the real problem. It's not whether that 1 call decided the game.. it's that every conversation around any game often ends up more about egregious calls or non-calls. Why did several much more obvious penalties go uncalled and then this one get called? That is the particular problem the NFL has with it's officiating. If a penalty *could* be called on every play then there's a massive problem with the rulebook and the rules are so complex that they can't be enforced appropriately and consistently by the officials then you need to make changes.
-
Wut? I think the officiating is an issue (well, more the complexity of the rulebook trying to account for everything), but underpaid is not any part of the problem.

The jets seem to always be involved in some way when a QB gets punched in the face.

What? Daboll wasn't a part of this offense this season. He is the HC of Giants... Regardless of that bit of insanity.. Hall is likely NOT NEXT IN LINE TO BE OC OF THE BILLS. So expanding his network of contacts and showing his skills elsewhere is likely to increase his prospects of becoming an OC somewhere. How someone can fail to grasp that expanding your contacts in your profession increases your chances at getting a better job is mind boggling.
-
Eric Bienemy, is that you? Doing a good job at the same position elsewhere tends to be a good way to increase your opportunities. You become known to a different group of people and you prove you can do it again somewhere else.

Did you read? Joe Brady stayed.. he's likely next in line if Dorsey leaves and they go in-house.
