Kelly the Dog Calls the Question: Yay or Nay Sayer
jethro_tull replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
As far as it relates to this year it could be possible that the patriots sweep us. they have an excellent defense headed by possibly the best defensive football coach who ever lived. they have offensive schemes that a college QB could win with- their receivers are open by a mile most of the time. this is where the bills will have an edge imho. as far as the bills offense i believe that josh still has a lot of growing up to do to be the calm, confident, leader he will eventually become. when josh does become that poised, confident journeyman field general, look out rest of the league. the patriots will be a moot point by then. whether this is the bills year is a toss up. monday's game will tell a lot. but the future is still bright for this team regardless of what happens this season. -
Does CB Now Become a Necessity Early in 2022 Draft
jethro_tull replied to thronethinker's topic in The Stadium Wall
draft a good backup and get a decent back in FA. -
He has the potential but so far the majority of times he gets the ball it exposes how bad our line is at run blocking. Against the saints he had 2.9 yards average per carry.

Correction, a defense that played excellently and a star player played lights out who's initials are JA.

Was this the worst upset loss in team history?
jethro_tull replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
no. this is the NFL. the Bills were down two OL starters and a shifted OL, their clutch TE and playing against an inspired defense. -
no. they got beat by an excellent defense.
-
The first down calls have been repetitive and therefore predictable and stopped easily. The creativity and change ups seem to have vanished. They know what they are doing, the question is why.

the review refs need bigger tv screens. the receivers right foot made an indent on the oob line on that reviewed play. mcd made the right call refusing the penalty who is to know what the resulting 3rd down play would have resulted in. -
Three days before Super Bowl LV (February 4th, 2021) Britt Reid, the linebacker's coach and son of head coach Andy Reid was involved in a multi car accident that resulted in serious brain injuries for a child, 5-year old Ariel Young in her family's car that was basically obliterated by the force of the crash. (Currently Ariel is recovering at home but still requires a feeding tube and cannot walk, talk, remember or function near a normal level). Reid was charged after investigation and his BAC was tested to be .113, above the legal limit of .08. Reid did not travel to the Super Bowl with the team and the impact of that incident must have strongly permeated the thoughts and mood of the entire team. The broadcast team tried their best to whitewash the incident by not mentioning anything about it until later in the game when Jim Nance called for best wishes for young Ariel. But the stench was in the air and the team grossly underperformed then and most every game since. Sure accidents happen but this one seemed to cast a doom and gloom cloud over this team and in my opinion justifiably so. Possibly the way things were handled by the team management and league may have made a lasting poor impression. Football above all no matter what. I challenge whether the game should have been played. Such an emotional sport, no wonder the team seems to lack the required motivation to excel this season. Reid's trial was recently set for April, 2022.

Will lack of Tough Games hurt the Bills?
jethro_tull replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall
possibly. players and coaches do improve by playing tougher teams. i think that the tenessee game was an excellent learrning experience as will be the bucs game. playoff game experience also helps. i see this team getting better and good enough to win it all regardless.
