Leslie Frazier interviewing for Texans job

and look what happened to them..... they are the rule and not the exception. i did a deep dive on this years ago when the Bills hired Ryan and the odds are really low that they will become successful. -

It can happen, yes. Understanding the circumstances in Minnesota - roster talent, GM, etc. that may not have been his fault would be something to consider. For me I have a problem giving a successful head coach a second chance much less a failed one. In other words there needs to be a good story, a believable well constructed plan to consider. I am not sure I would have hired Mike McCarthy at Dallas for example. But as you mention, the odds are not that good no matter where they come from ! -

It isn't unreal at all. Frazier was and is a very good DC. He had a run as a head coach and failed, landed on his feet as DC. Smart teams realize that very few succeed on their second chance. -

Very few assistant coaches have succeeded when given a second shot at a head coaching position. -
Why are we so bad covering the TE?
jethro_tull replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great question! The situation reminds me of the bad Bills of not too long ago where Nickel Roby-C, Ron Darby and Corey Graham tried to cover the likes of Gronk, Travis Kelce and Tyler Eifert. Bad memories man! This is why big fast TEs are an effective weapon and one I hope the Bills fortify ASAP. It just ain't that easy, even if they are covered they tend to catch the ball. -
Teams have been affected by this during playoff runs. Football is an emotional team sport. While they like to all be professional about this the fact is Daboll is considered to be a lame duck by the entire organization, right or wrong. He is leaving. He will be affected somewhat. The players will be affected somewhat. How much and how it affects the team and their performance is probably minimal but still remains to be seen. It is a factor in any organization and especially emotional team sports. I believe they can still perform at a high level but everything counts.

The colts fumble that was not called

It would have been another heart break for the ages. Those are the old Bills now. Time to move forward. -
Credit to B. Beane on the Bass pick. When so many teams get their kickers at garage sales and flee marts the Bills used a 6th round pick for Bass and raised some eyebrows. Super smart move by the Bills to pick him- extra extra credit because he is living up to expectations.

i thought they did an excellent job until that fumble- three plays could have gone either way but they made the correct call- two bills pass plays on the sidelines the non-interception call -

Watching the replay it seems like the NFL needs to use faster cameras. It looked like the knee came up before poyer's hand touched pascal's back but poyer's hand was a bit of a blur that made it seem bigger. higher speed cameras would have captured sharper images and would have clearly shown the knee off the ground and hand not making contact. -

I would say to stop the beechin. The Bills are no longer the wide right, music city miracle heart crusher of a team. They have that monkey off their back, including a PLAYOFF WIN!!! Those Bills would have lost the game after that call. Now that would have been bad............. -

How do we keep Daboll around?

It may not even take that much $. Maybe he would prefer to continue to be a part of this team's era. -
