It’s gonna be cold in the Windy City next week….
jethro_tull replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall
Never thought I would see the day but the Bears are giving double middle fingers to the city of Chicago and quite honestly they deserve it. Most die hard Bears fans have long since left the city anyway. -
Just an honest question on the game outcome
jethro_tull replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Dolphins are no. 2 in passing yards and no. 4 in passing touchdowns. Tua is 8-4 with 3200 passing yards and 24 TDs and a rating of 124. He has had QB ratings in the 130's this season. It was an intra division game where all bets are off. These are not the struggling Dolphins any longer. That said the Bills have some work to do including the need to press receivers off the line- especially key targets like Hill, no excuse not to. They can still use some more discipline lessons on how not to shoot one's self in the foot. Lastly the obvious like OL and DL, especially against the run. -

the bills should not overlook the bears. it has the classic look of a trap game and a letdown game. the bears are no. 1 in rushing mainly because justin fields is a very good third down open field runner. they could keep the ball away from our offense. -

it's up to the players. they have winter gear. or maybe the dolphin's heaters might malfunction. would they cry about i mean forfeit the game on account of malfunctioning sideline heaters? -

Jerry Sullivan crosses the line. Comments against women.
jethro_tull replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
He was no holds barred politically incorrect to put it mildly - I haven't heard his show since the satellite deal but I imagine it is a LOT different than it used to be. -

definitely making some assumptions that are a big stretch. viewpoints count and acting with respect and civility towards everyone is commendable and should be the rule. getting indignant and bent out of shape when someone makes such a comment is in fact casting judgement and not respecting that person. every person deserves respect and the benefit of the doubt. much of our society is primed and ready to pounce at a moment's notice, in fact anger filled and looking for a place to direct it. i wish that were not the case. -
Week 15: Dolphins at Bills on Saturday Night Football
jethro_tull replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Football is a game played outdoors. Teams do their best to manage the conditions which are equal for both opponents. Besides, this is a game in Buffalo, where we own our weather much like other cities such as Green Bay and Chicago own theirs. Football is a sport who's traditions were born in the conditions- mud bowls, slush, sleet, wind, rain and snow. It can be equally exciting to watch in all of them. Just my opinion. -

What sort of punishment should he get for "crossing the line"? This world has become so thin skinned. -

Absolutely! That decision was weak! probably! that or a pre snap huddle going over the basics of the play. -
NFL Week #14 - Jets at Bills - Post game thread
jethro_tull replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
The blocked punt and safety actually helped the Bills win. It was like a 2 point price to pay for a free kick from the 20 that put the ball much farther into Jets territory. If the punt wasn't blocked the Jets could have had excellent field position and an easier path to score at least a field goal. -

sure they won but it was winning ugly and with room for improvement. way too many dropped, catchable balls for one. the jets receivers caught them so it wasnt conditions. -
i am guessing that he has lost the trust of the QB. we could certainly use TE that can get more involved. Using wideouts in checkdown routes is a waste and counter productive.

Criticism of McD and coaching has reached insanity level…
jethro_tull replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
Young fans from the Twitterverse are very impatient. I personally say that McD has the keys to the castle and should live here for quite a while- he'll get it sorted out. Not quite a marathon but far from a sprint. -

Tre'Davious White - when will he be ready?
jethro_tull replied to Deadstroke's topic in The Stadium Wall
when he's ready and when the game matters. not in a non-division or non-conference game.
