In terms of post-season accomplishments, Lou Saban has the most championship rings. We hired him after he was fired by the Patriots.

Arguably the greatest "modern" QB Season is Brady in 2007. Brady turned 30 during training camp that year. So both Josh and Mahomes are coming into the Prime QB years. Brady had 50 TD passes, finished the year with a perfect 16-0 record - still the regular season record. He additionally led the league in completion rate (68.9%), pass yards (4,806) and yards per attempt (8.3).

Taylor's net worth is $1.6Billion, I imagine there are some legal issues that have to be worked through.

Slick Rick about to be Bills most valuable non player person.

We had a Bills QB when I was a kid. Did many speaking events in the community, if you met him, he shook your hand, looked you straight in the eye. Wore #15. Went on to a pretty solid career after the NFL. -
For many people Labor Day weekend is when they take their last gasp summer vacation or getaway to their lake house etc. Its also the weekend teachers use to get ready for school.

Bills scored more points than any other team this season..

We need at least a couple of 235# thumper linebackers [Talley and C-Biscuit types] but can play at today's speed. -
And interestingly ranked below both Lamonica and Kemp.

What Position in Free Agency Puts Buffalo Over the Top?
BearNorth replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall
Even with our basically JAG group of wide receivers, we averaged 30.9 ppg. we led the league in turnover margin, but were often not able to get off the field against quality offenses. I would say DE/ 1 Tech, LB [not sure how much Cookie has left]. CB [Douglas fell off sharply], S [Hopefully Bishop will improve, but Hamlin/Rapp are JAG's]. -
Anyone else for using our draft capital for trades?
BearNorth replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
With the Salary Cap and a top 5 QB who is currently being paid about 1/5 of your cap, you have to staff parts of your roster with cost-controlled draft picks and UDFA. 10 of the 53 at season end were rookies. -
Lost in the sauce: Outstanding Performances vs KC

As long as RB's like Henry and Barkley are in the league, going to need LB's with some heft. -
Lost in the sauce: Outstanding Performances vs KC
BearNorth replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, especially since Barkley and King Henry showed that RB's are still important to good teams. -
Hopefully the back to back concussions won't impact Benford for the long term, He's the more valuable commodity, tho with a shorter shelf life. Bills need to rethink their LB's, ours are too slight when you look at teams like KC and PHL. Also about evaluation and drafting, Philly has the #1 and #6 graded LB's in the league in Baun & Burks, both 3rd round draft choices, Baun in 2020, Burks in 2018. Also wonder if coaching is part of the problem, Eagles and Chiefs both have acclaimed defensive masterminds in Fangio and Spagnuolo, don't think McD and his appointed DC Babich can claim that after this season, other than the stellar turnover performance.

Confluence of a lot of things--Bills just didn't play well
BearNorth replied to jahnyc's topic in The Stadium Wall
Still thought on the tush push we should have an alternate play - something like Heavy formation right with Brown, Anderson, Hollins [very good run blocker], not having Cook on the field for those, [and there were the 2 4th downs and the 2 PAT's ] was coaching malpractice. -
Admittedly Bills were still in the drought, but I am remembering we owned the first round pick used to draft Mahomes?

Just some thoughts before I log off for a while...
BearNorth replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you have a QB who is being paid [e.g. not on a rookie contract], You will have to have 8-12 rookies, UDFA's on your roster to stay under the cap. I see Mahomes cap hit next year is like $66MM. That's the new NFL - Probably 12 guys making big bucks, and a bunch at league minimum. -
A "Tush Push" to the right just once would have been nice....
BearNorth replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thought that all along, at least on Third down, Spencer, Anderson, Hollins on the Right side and run Cook away from the defense. KC has Chris Jones, the best DT in all of football, coupled with beefy LB's. These coaches get paid too much money to not see that. -
Yeah, I think King Henry and Saquan have changed the narrative on second contract running backs if they are truly elite. I think Cook is, just wish we had more designed passing plays to use his quickness in the open field. I think our O-line is under contract for next season at least.

Phillips did have a stupid 15 yarder that will cost him $10K or so.

In the case of our LB's literally small. KC has LB's who can cover and are still thumpers. We have LB's who are basically large DB's who get run over by RB's and TE's.
