  1. At the end of the day, team speed is something to admire.
  2. With Miami in meltdown mode, is a draft choice trade for Douglas a possibility. He's grading much higher [6th among CB's] than any of our DB's. Did McBeane miscalculate this?
  3. From what I see with us going with 2 and sometimes 3 TE's we are using Shakir as our Z, he's played nearly 100 snaps (25%) as a flanker. We have about the same number of snaps YTD with 2 or 3 TE's as we do with 3 WR's.
  4. I also think that Shaq Thompson is a welcome addition at LB against Dowdle and Hubbard. A bit more beef in the front 7. This will likely be a trial by fire for Deone Walker against a stacked Panthers running game.
  5. Yeah the dropoff in performance by Benford and Taron is especially noticeable. Benford has gone from a top 10 CB to bottom qtr of the league, Taron was a top 20 CB two years ago and now just a journeyman. Rapp is in the Bottom 5 of every down safeties in the league with equally bad coverage and run stop grades. Hopefully Shaq Thompson will continue his high level of play.
  6. A worry I see is Mitch Evans, rookie tight end out of Notre Dame currently ranks #1 among TE's in PFF. 6'5 260 so a BIG tight end. Considering we have the much maligned Rapp assigned to cover tight ends, looks like a mismatch.
  7. When a player is suspended, they are allowed to practice with teammates and play in preseason games. For the first half of their suspension, they aren’t allowed to show up at the team’s facility. However, they are allowed to appear at the facility during the second half of their suspension in order to ramp up their work and get ready to resume playing.
  8. Which O. lineup would scare a DC more: Allen, Cook, Shakir, Coleman, Kincaid Mahomes, Pacheco, Hollywood, X. Worthy, Kelce Just throwing that out there.
  9. Bills also had a guy named Beebe who was at the time the fastest guy in the league, and when they lined up with Reed, Lofton and Beebe, defenses always had to respect gunslinger Kelly and the deep ball.
  10. We did have John "Smoke" Brown for a year, he could outrun coverage. That first pass to Palmer Monday night was a beauty, would have been a TD if Josh hadn't underthrown it a smidge.
  11. The only Bills offensive players, you have to game plan for are Josh & Cook. Atlanta has Robinson and London [& Pitts is no slouch]. in the NE game, Diggs ate us alive. We have been historically good until the NE game avoiding giveaways, but that trend has ended for now. The 4th qtr lack of usage of Cook in a one score game is a mystery. Don't imagine the Bills coaches will have a very enjoyable bye week.
  12. I suspect Hawes [Yale grad - dad is a surgeon, mom is an attorney] is one of the smartest guys in the room, so there's that as well.
  13. Meanwhile, admittedly limited D snaps, but Shaq Thompson is the #3 linebacker in PFF grading [#1 is Warner, who looks like is done for the year]
  14. Dexter Lawrence and Chris Jones both are tracking 70% of defensive snaps. They are arguably the two best Interior DL's in the game.
  15. Zion's out of call-ups, he would have to be brought up to the 53.
  16. Just saw this: The Atlanta Falcons have used a standard practice squad elevation on cornerback Keith Taylor and wide receiver Deven Thompkins ahead of their Monday Night Football matchup with the Buffalo Bills.
  17. Woody Johnson is pretty volatile, I suspect Aaron Glenn isn't sleeping well these days.
  18. Rapp is 15 pounds heavier than the faster Poyer. Rapp had a very good run defense grade in 2024, but has regressed this season. Robinson [RB] and Pitts [TE] are both decent players and will be a handful for our LB's & S's
  19. 90 minutes before kickoff. So 5:45 there should be a post on the Buffalo website.
  20. Only if you count Anthony Lynn's 0-1 - Harvey Johnson 2-23-1 in two stints .096 - Jim Ringo [HOF] 3-23 .130. Hank Bullough was actually .196.
  21. No stupid plays like screwing up the handoff to a tight end who hasn't had a running play since his rookie year.
  22. Sauce Gardner was the DROY in 2022. Rare for CB's to win DROY. Most rookie CB's struggle in their first year - adjusting to the speed of the game.
  23. At today's team valuations not that easy to blow everything up.
  24. I heard yesterday on Sirius [Dr. Chao] that the doc who came out of the tent was the team doc [an orthopod], who left when he was no longer needed. Still a bad look for Daboll, suspect there will be a fine, likely the Giants ownership will have a word with Goodell about the incident.
