  1. This could help a little re the two suspended newbies. Signing Bonus Recoupment: Teams can recoup a portion of a player's signing bonus if the suspension is related to PEDs or substance abuse violations.
  2. Jairus Byrd wore 31. 22 ints, made 3 pro bowls in five seasons, NINE int's as a rookie in 2009. Left unhappy in 2013 after being franchise tagged. Never the same player after he left Buffalo.
  3. Other player we may be overlooking is UDFA SS Wande Owens - listed as from U of New Hampshire, but played at Yale so one would expect a pretty intelligent player, which we know McD likes. 9.59 RAS, 5'11 212 - so thicker than your typical DB - 4.58 40 and has a lot of explosion - vertical and long jump are 9.9+ RAS grades. FWIW
  4. I just plugged Rogers and the UDFA into my spreadsheet. I have us at 87 signed, plus three drafted rookies unsigned, Hairston, Sanders, and Walker. I think that's the 90 man roster as of this morning.
  5. In 2024 Cook was ranked 9 out of 59 qualifying running backs. He ranked 25th in the league in carries. - He had about half the carries of Saquon, who won a Super Bowl.
  6. I'm hoping Terrel Bernard - He missed a lot of tackles, wasn't stellar when he had to cover, and was graded in the bottom 10% of LB's.
  7. Someone in the pro scouting dept must be on a pretty short leash with that recommendation.
  8. Do we really need to resign the 117th [of 125] ranked wideout in the league last year? Even his run-blocking which he was praised for was less than stellar last season.
  9. Mack caught 31 balls 378 yards 12.2 ypc, so decent production for a 4th wr option. Comparable ypc to our group of TE's and RB's. Led the team in TD catches, so Josh had confidence in him in the RZ.
  10. Bills only have two indoor games this season - at Atlanta and at Houston. It will be interesting to see how the schedule breaks for the Pittsburgh and Cleveland away games, would expect a lot of Bills fans at those game if they aren't in late December or first week of Jan.
  11. Just witness the 1T late season signings Bills have done the past two seasons [Linval Joseph/Jordan Phillips] because the middle of their defense was getting shredded.
  12. I think folks are overlooking the Bucs when talking about difficult opponents. Mayfield, Evans, Godwin, a solid RB in Irving, A mountain in Vita Vea, they will be a tough out even in the OP.
  13. Bills schedule is against teams with a 2024 regular season record of 135 wins 154 losses. We play 7 teams that were above .500 in 2024 including the two teams that met in the Superbowl, We play 5 playoff teams and 7 games against teams with 5 wins or less. Outside of the AFC East, we play the 5 win Saints, 5 win Panthers, and 3 win Browns. We also have the 4 best teams on our schedule Eagles, KC, Ravens, Bucs as well as the offensively loaded Bengals all at home.
  14. Bills hosting Jets in the Rockpile 12/8/63. Field was a mosh pit, mud and standing water on the field. Cookie runs for pro football record 243 yards on 36! carries and FIVE TD's. Bills win 45-14 and Jets consolation prize is Joe Willie Namath.
  15. Be interesting what the addition of Hairston does to the defense. 4.28 are some serious wheels, wonder if him being there will inspire others to take their speed training seriously.
  16. PFF Has Lewis as the 2nd worst safety in receptions allowed, 49 completions in 390 coverage snaps, 95.8 passer rating against. Seems like OC's like to pick on him when he's on the field. 40th percentile of safeties.
  17. Pro Football reference ranks the Bills DE's as Bruce [GOAT Bills D-Lineman], Schobel, Hughes, Hansen. Would be happy if he was the next Schobel or Hansen.
  18. Slightly bigger version of TJ Watt, similar RAS measurables. 6-6 with a 40.5 vertical, expect a lot of batted passes.
  19. We do play dime a fair amount, so need at least 6 pretty good DB's. They are the smallest guys on the team and take a bit of a beating esp with our run defense of late.
  20. Right now based on these projections, we have to replace about 13% of our offensive snaps, 23% of our defensive snaps, and a full 1/3 of our ST Snaps, plus we have a new ST Coordinator. Douglas, Hollins, & Q. Morris have the highest snap counts among the departures.
  21. I was at the "Music City Miracle" Would be nice for the Bills to have a worthy successor to Ted Washington and Pat Williams. That was a GREAT defense.
  22. NY would be a traffic nightmare with the parade and a 1:00 game at the Meadowlands, If the Bills play on Thanksgiving it will be either 4:25 or Night.
  23. Of course if the Bills have locked up their seed [like 2024] and the week 18 game is at The Ralph, we could be sitting starters for the last game.
  24. Having visited family at the Villages, GC accidents & fatalities/injuries are not uncommon.
