  1. Tampa Bay, esp when they get Godwin and Evans healthy will be a problem unless our back 7 improves. @ Pittsburgh could be a problem with Watt . @ Houston - they did beat us last year.
  2. Phidarian Mathis has been signed to the practice squad. DT
  3. Exactly - the TD that was a deflection, Coleman's reaction was exactly what a top basketball player would do, coaches I worked with called it being quick to the ball [on defense and rebounding].
  4. FWIW PFF grades for week 1 - Jests have Hall, Sauce and RT Membou ranked 1st at their positions, and Quinnen Williams and Garret Wilson ranked 2nd. Bills only players ranked elite in week 1 are Ed Oliver [1st], Josh [4th?], and Keon [6th]. Josh is 9-4 vs. the Jets in his career, 4-2 at Met Life.
  5. Josh's QB sneaks & Cook's runs on the goal line basically vulture his passer rating. If Bills had scored on the Hawes catch instead of it being at the 1 yard line, Josh's passer rating would have been 119+, similarly if Cook had scored instead of being tackled at the 2 after his 51 yard run, passer rating would have been 126+ with 4 TD's.
  6. Overall our opponents were 4-13 in week 1. Winners were Philly Tampa Cinci and Steelers.
  7. Damar Hamlin - as maligned as he has been on this board, would have been an improvement over either of our safeties, a two year starter and he did not see the field for a single defensive snap. Cam Lewis - played nine snaps on D and graded out higher than any other defensive secondary player not named Taron Johnson He's a vet and knows McD's defense. TJ Sanders should not see the field if last night was any indication, Jordan Phillips would be an upgrade. [Yeah I said that]
  8. The Pass to Hawes was pretty remarkable as well. Few QB's can make that throw.
  9. Bills put Bass on IR before the game, used a practice squad elevation for Prater, so they still had Bass's roster spot.
  10. As a cost controlled 5th rounder for three more seasons.
  11. Koch Family is supposedly worth 150 BB, Tisch's are pikers by comparison $11 BB a chunk of which is their share of the Giants.
  12. I agree that the MVP should be even more distinctive, e.g. platinum or some other special device to call attention .
  13. Price the team pays for having #17 in his prime earning years.
  14. Reid Ferguson is the longest tenured Bills Player [2017]. He has played in 131 games [all of them] since becoming the regular long snapper.
  15. Turk is busy already.
  16. Last I knew most military academy grads are pretty smart guys as well, not a bad thing in the overall evaluation. I think if you cut Codrington tho, you have to keep Hamler on the active roster.
  17. As I understand it if Ciarlo doesn't make a roster, he has to honor his [8 year] service commitment. Not sure if practice squad counts. But then McDermott said this after the Giants game: "There’s going to be three guys that make this team solely on special teams because of plays like this.” Hmmm
  18. Davis is certainly enough of a specimen to play teams, but will he at this point in his career?
  19. Is Micah Hyde at this point worse than any of our rostered safeties not named Rapp.
  20. I am wondering if this is the end of the road for the Bills carrying a FB. There were only 12 FB's rostered in the league last season and with Hawes, who is a smart, nasty blocker, do we use the roster spot somewhere else.
  21. My biggest concern is CB2. Not sure how much Tre White has left in the tank, and with Hairston nicked up and a rookie, not seeing anyone else that's rocks my world. We have some SCARY WR duo's and trio's on our schedule.
  22. I imagine #17 might have some input into that discussion, they seem to be besties.
  23. Given McD's like for "smart" players, could this mean Wande Owens [Yale grad] gets a shot? - ridiculous hops - 43" vertical 11'-3" broad jump. Has experience as both a CB and box Safety.
  24. Tasker became a Bills legend as the gunner and developed into a useful WR.
  25. Claire Lee Chennault. Spelling is quite a bit different. Chennault's 2nd wife was Chinese and a prominent figure in the China Lobby before Nixon recognized them in the 70's.
