  1. Our run defense leaves a bit to be desired. 49r's D is nasty. In a close game CMC scares me a bit and they have him in the passing game along with Samuel, Aiyuk, & Kittle, so double teams are limited. Bosa vs. Spencer Brown is an enormous mismatch.
  2. Eisen/Warner/Ehrdahl should be a pretty good team. Looking forward to waking up to football.
  3. Epenesa's length gives smaller quarterbacks fits. He had the pick six vs. the Commanders and had a deflection last night.
  4. Interesting stat - through 4 games, Bills are averaging 15 more offensive snaps p/gm than their opponents. Bills O has 273 snaps, D has only played 213. One would think that's gotta wear out the opposing defense.
  5. Aside from the nearly identical score, remember this game: The Buffalo Bills handed the New England Patriots an embarrassing 47-17 wild-card loss on Saturday night, and in the process they made NFL history. They became the first team ever to have a perfect offensive performance. They scored touchdowns on every single one of their possessions (except the kneel downs at the end of the game). They didn't face a single fourth down in the entire game, so they had no punts or field goals. They also held onto the ball when they had it, turning the ball over zero times.
  6. Only team that scares me after yesterday is the 49r's. McCaffrey is unique, Aiyuk, Samuel, Kittle along with CMc may be better than the Cinci group. QB is a game manager, but doesn't seem to make mistakes, Defense is nasty, Best front four in the league.
  7. The early TD to Gabe was a thing of beauty, [or a complete screwup by the fish defense].
  8. After that "Beast Mode" exhibition yesterday, don't forget about Knox.
  9. With Torrence's size, I suspect he will win a lot in the trenches on short yardage.
  10. Suspect he will get an Angry Runs nomination for that play where he just ran over the DB, or was it a LB?
  11. So Iggles barely beat the Commando's - a team we beat by 34 in their building. Does today move Bills to #2 behind the 49r's?
  12. The 1990 line of LT Will Wolford LG Jim Ritcher C Kent Hull RG John Davis RT Howard Ballard was a pretty solid group. Josh's mobility covers a lot of O-line issues. JK was more of a statue.
  13. McGovern is quietly efficient as well, def an upgrade from our guard play the last few years.
  14. 158.3 is a perfect passer rating, only second Bill [Flutie] to have a perfect passer rating.
  15. Nelson from Houston, 31 yrs old, still playing at a high level.
  16. Looking at snap counts, Benford 148, White 135, T. Johnson 116 PFF Rank and Grades T. Johnson Rank 24, Grade 72.7 T. White Rank 44, Grade 65.1 C. Benford Rank 60 Grade 62.1
  17. Actually the Line Judge is the son and grandson of 30 year NFL officials and his uncle works as an NFL Official as well. The family sideline business it would seem. From what I can determine he was on the golf team at Villanova and works in tech, and has reffed in the Big Ten.
  18. I think the Bills will do well to study what BB did vs. the Fish. Fish only scored 24, and their defense is not as good as their offense. Bills do need to clean up their rushing defense as Mostert has scary speed, and as always figure out a way to keep Hill under control. Hopefully Dorsey has been saving some of the playbook for this game, I suspect the winner will put up somewhere in the 30's.
  19. Brett Bergman is the 4th member of his family to be an NFL official, grandfather [Jerry], Dad [Jeff] was a 30 year official and Uncle Jerry Jr. have all been NFL officials.
  20. Leading rusher for last 5 superbowl winners: 2023: Kansas City Chiefs Pacheco, Isaiah 830 2022: Los Angeles Rams Michel, Sony 845 2021: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fournette, Leonard 812 2020: Kansas City Chiefs Williams, Damien 498 2019: New England Patriots Michel, Sony 938 2018: Philadelphia Eagles Blount, LeGarrette 766
  21. And I've seen WR's in this league get the second foot in on throws like the pass ruled OB in the endzone.
  22. This week will probably be the proof of this train of thought. Fish are currently the top running team @ 6.1 ypc, Suspect this is because teams are selling out to stop the passing game. Only team in the league with 2 backs over 200 yards this season, and their top 3 backs [Mostert, Achane, Brooks] have all broken runs of 40 or more yards. Mostert, & Achane, run sub 4.4, and Brooks is a Murray type [232#] thumper.
  23. Just noticed that pending tonight's games, James Cook is #2 in the NFL, #1 in the AFC in rushing. Averaging 89 yards per game. Swift from the Iggles could pass him with a 90+ yard game.
