  1. But that happened after he joined the Bills, Talley got on him and got him to train properly [and apparently Carmen [his college counselor and eventual wife helped]]
  2. I know we are close to being in cap "jail" but after Kyle Allen's performance on Saturday, should we be kicking the tires on Wentz? I don't think Matty Ice fits the Bills offense with his lack of mobility. Those are the only two FA QB's that have done anything.
  3. Wondering if with our strength at d-line and decent depth at DB if we don't do a lot of 4-1-6 [dime ] with Milano at the LB spot, and possible two of our big nickels [Rapp and T Johnson] covering for the absence of talent at MLB. I'm seeing mock 53's with White, Elam, Johnson, Jackson, Benford, Ingram, Hyde, Poyer, Rapp, Hamlin & Lewis all making the roster.
  4. Wonder if Hochul's husband leaving Delaware North is somehow connected?
  5. I can see if Kincaid develops quickly enough running a bunch of 12 personnel, with the wrinkle that Kincaid becomes a "Big" slot mismatch, and many of the Slot corners in the league are smallish. Apparently he played a lot in the slot in college.
  6. Jim Brown held the Long Island HS scoring record in basketball, averaging 38 ppg, later broken by a Carl Yastrzemski.
  7. I get the feeling the brain trust thinks Kincaid may be just that and he's a size mismatch for most DB's if he lines up in the slot.
  8. Bates also got a pretty hefty contract when he used to RFA tag to his advantage. He is also our highest rated guard, including McGovern. With the shortage of quality guards, and Morse's advancing age, he's still a bargain.
  9. I'm old enough to remember an UDFA tight end who weighed around 330 who the Bills picked up. Likely will be a first ballot HOF'r.
  10. Since he posts WR numbers in terms of catches and TD's, Kelce was a third-rounder, probably the best tight end in league history.
  11. Or your kicker who has hit 10-15 from that range during the season, misses a 47 yarder that would have won a Super Bowl.
  12. Some of us were around in 1964 and 1965 when the Bills won the title they were competing for. Just saying.
  13. Hyatt was on Sirius NFL Channel this afternoon. I feel the need for speed.
  14. Is post-injury Tre White going to be as good as pre-injury Tre white? Esp with the WR's we face, Buffalo draws 13 of the top 20 receivers in the league, including every All-Pro other than Jefferson [and Diggs]. After the Hamlin game and the Mia & Cinci playoff games I came away thinking our secondary cannot handle the top wideouts in this league, esp with a meh pass rush.
  15. Not at 9.7% drops to targets. KC as a whole was 5.5% drops, Bills were 6.9%. Three games lost by three points, wonder if one more catch in any of those three and we are home throughout the playoffs. Even worse, Davis, McKenzie, Motor, Cook and Shakir as a group had 26 drops in 262 targets. Everyone else [mainly DIggs and Knox] had 12 drops in 289 targets. Davis, Cook, and Shakir better spend every spare moment working on catching the ball.
  16. I think either Hyde or Poyer will have the green dot. They both have a bit more game experience than MM.
  17. I saw a similar situation with regard to O-Line, some of the highest ranking O-Lines play for non-contenders, and some of the lesser groups play for contenders [e.g. Bills]. The fact that the Bills have had sub-par O-line play and have still won 72% of their games over the past 4 years, is a real tribute to Allen, (Diggs for three of those), and the defense.
  18. It does speak to the dismal state of offensive line talent that many pundits still say that Saffold is among the top 10 guards available. SMH
  19. Quintin Morris - ranked 72 of 73 TE's by PFF, and some guy named Zach Davidson out of the football powerhouse called Central Missouri, who was a Vikings discard.
  20. As a lifelong Bills fan, the best offense in the NFL today has to include (1) Andy Reid (2) Kelce, and (3) Mahomes, they are the new Brady/Gronk. Until you can matchup with that trio you're not the best. Reid's play design and play calling is on a whole other level than the rest of the league.
  21. The biggest issues going into the draft and then post-draft free agency IMHO are: How to replace Edmunds ? How to improve the Offensive Line - we have 2 NFL starter caliber players and 3 question marks. Are Von, Micah, Tre White, going to be healthy game day 1? Is Elam ready to start against the elite QB's & WR's he will face almost weekly ? Our schedule has us facing 7 of the top 10 quarterbacks in the league [one plays for us] Can we get some consistent production out of our #2 wide out and #3 slot receiver ? Can we find an affordable 3rd down back who can get tough yards, so that JA17 isn't constantly having to? Can we start making big plays on D and forcing turnovers - we were 3rd highest in the league in giveaways. Can Josh clean up his turnovers, and stop taking so many risks with the ball? I will be interesting to see this all play out.
  22. The Pats have McCourty with the green dot. Is this the year to perhaps have Poyer or Hyde be the defensive signal caller, to take some load off the newbie at MLB. With a new DC going to hopefully be a lot of changes in how we play D.
  23. Neal makes $3.3MM with a $1MM dead cap hit, so he likely stays as he is ST core Lewis seems to be a favorite of the coaches in the ST room as well.
