  1. Hollins the team leader in TD Catches!
  2. Knox like the kid on the playground in a snow game
  3. A stretch but are the Ravens trying to get to the 7 seed so they can face the Bills run defense in the playoffs?
  4. Got my class outlines done for Monday, updated my November financial report for the wife, about to go grocery shopping, helped the wife move the Xmas decor up to the living room. Unfortunately I have to teach accounting at 9 AM tomorrow, so I may not make it through the entire game.
  5. Inactives will be posted right around 6:50 PM.
  6. With Boswell's miss; as if they need the help; the top kicker in the league seems to be Jake Bates from the Lions. 19x20 FGM, 44x45 XP, Average length of FGM = 40 yards. Of course having half your games in a dome to start helps.
  7. Cyborg at least on Josh's TD Scramble, did a pretty good job of neutralizing Chris Jones, hoping that's a hopeful sign for our guy going forward.
  8. So apparently the 49ers flew into Buffalo for the game yesterday night, landing at 11:39 PM. So both teams are in town.
  9. No, but I have two other vivid Bills memories. Cookie running for 5 TD's and pro football record 243 yards on a muddy field at the Rockpile; and was actually working in Nashville and one of my vendors gave my son [who was on Winter Break from College] and I skybox seats to the "Music City Miracle". Talk about the thrill of victory, agony of defeat that day. Can't believe Wade benched Flutie that game.
  10. Mahomes has been incredibly lucky to still be relatively healthy given the number of sacks he has taken this year. Having an elite Center and guards is all well and good, but I thought Crosby was going to break him in half a couple of times. Karlafitis was lunching on their left tackle most of the second half. I imagine the Chief's newly acquired just off IR tackle will be starting next week.
  11. 12/28/63. I was 15 years old. Bills were hosting Pats for the right to go to the AFL title game. Snowed that week heavily. Tickets were my "big" Christmas present. Our seats were in the bleachers towards the East end of the stadium [left center field in baseball]. Instead of shoveling the bleachers, they had gone around with a garbage can and made seats on top on the snow covered wooden board seats. I was 15 and immune to cold [haha] my dad, who already had some arthritis from a WW2 injury, went with me and probably was in agony but never said a word. Bills lost that day, 26-8 but regrouped and won the next two AFL titles. Buffalo's only score was a 93-yard pass from Daryle Lamonica to Elbert Dubenion in the third quarter, with a successful two-point conversion to cut the lead in half. That's my Bills snow game memory.
  12. Wondering with the 49ers wide receiver injuries, their most common lineup is 2 WR's [Samuel & Jennings] TE [Kittle] HB [McCaffrey] FB [Juszczyk]. Esp with how dinged up their OL is, imagine we'll see a lot of Juszczyk [Good Buffalo name if I ever heard one].
  13. Seems to me when Milano is back at full go [which could be a few weeks] the decision would be do you keep Milano and Bernard on the field or sub Cam Lewis/Cole Bishop/Jamarcus Ingram [pick one] for either of those two.
  14. FWIW since 2008, the 49ers are the NFL's best performing team in cold weather games [below 34 degrees] they are 22-6 in cold weather games over that period. I still think our guys will prevail, we are a bit healthier and have an eyes on the prize mentality. Bills 27 49ers 20
  15. I think they said earlier that because of complaints from red green color-blind people, the Jets game would not use all reds. So it would have to be the Pats
  16. To quote "My Cousin Vinny" "Anyone stuck in the mud in Alabama knows ....." in Buffalo, it's "anyone who has shoveled out a 10' snow pile at the end of the driveway knows..."
  17. Yeah, Henry, Jackson, with 300# FB Rickard blocking, our D is not built to counter that.
  18. Bills and 49ers have 4 common opponents this year Jests, Arizona, Seattle, KC. Bills are 4-0 with an average victory margin of 9.75 pts. 49ers are 2-2 with an average victory margin of 3.5. Bills have played 2 at home, two on the road, 49ers have 3 at home, 1 on the road. +6 seems right. KC is the most recent common opponent and the Bills were +9, Niners -10.
  19. And if we get Brandon Allen, expect a steady dose of McCaffrey pounding our defensive front and LB's, chewing up time of possession, adding in a bit of Deebo from the RB slot as well. Any team that has RB assets has watched the Baltimore tape and will be trying to expose our run defense. KC's best RB was hurt as I recall.
  20. With the same team perhaps, but Belichick, Coughlin, Carroll, Vermeil and Reid all won Super Bowls after an unsuccessful first gig
  21. The Bills negotiated a 3 yr contract at $21 MM for this season, but only his signing bonus is guaranteed $5.3MM, and they used a void year to spread the signing bonus out over 4 years. Interesting this year, 2024 he also is hitting Green Bay's cap for $5.1MM in dead cap. Bills are carrying a ton of dead cap for people who either left or were traded, Diggs, Tre White, Leonard Floyd, Ryan Bates, Micah Hyde, Mitch Morse, Mike Edwards and Poyer are all counting more than $2MM towards this years cap.
  22. Humphries had one solid season in 2020, when he was one of the top rated tackles. Otherwise he's been solid starter level. Question tho is how recovered is that ACL? Von and Tre White were shadows of their former greatness coming off ACL's at least initially.
  23. Ya mean like the guy in Buffalo that grew up idolizing the 49ers?
  24. There was a school of thought when we traded for Douglas that he had a couple of years left as a cover corner, but could move to safety and extend his career. He hasn't had a really big payday for a 29 yr old, so I think he will take the highest offer. he does have a $4MM dead cap hit the Bills will have to eat.
