  1. FWIW since 2008, the 49ers are the NFL's best performing team in cold weather games [below 34 degrees] they are 22-6 in cold weather games over that period. I still think our guys will prevail, we are a bit healthier and have an eyes on the prize mentality. Bills 27 49ers 20
  2. I think they said earlier that because of complaints from red green color-blind people, the Jets game would not use all reds. So it would have to be the Pats
  3. To quote "My Cousin Vinny" "Anyone stuck in the mud in Alabama knows ....." in Buffalo, it's "anyone who has shoveled out a 10' snow pile at the end of the driveway knows..."
  4. Yeah, Henry, Jackson, with 300# FB Rickard blocking, our D is not built to counter that.
  5. Bills and 49ers have 4 common opponents this year Jests, Arizona, Seattle, KC. Bills are 4-0 with an average victory margin of 9.75 pts. 49ers are 2-2 with an average victory margin of 3.5. Bills have played 2 at home, two on the road, 49ers have 3 at home, 1 on the road. +6 seems right. KC is the most recent common opponent and the Bills were +9, Niners -10.
  6. And if we get Brandon Allen, expect a steady dose of McCaffrey pounding our defensive front and LB's, chewing up time of possession, adding in a bit of Deebo from the RB slot as well. Any team that has RB assets has watched the Baltimore tape and will be trying to expose our run defense. KC's best RB was hurt as I recall.
  7. With the same team perhaps, but Belichick, Coughlin, Carroll, Vermeil and Reid all won Super Bowls after an unsuccessful first gig
  8. The Bills negotiated a 3 yr contract at $21 MM for this season, but only his signing bonus is guaranteed $5.3MM, and they used a void year to spread the signing bonus out over 4 years. Interesting this year, 2024 he also is hitting Green Bay's cap for $5.1MM in dead cap. Bills are carrying a ton of dead cap for people who either left or were traded, Diggs, Tre White, Leonard Floyd, Ryan Bates, Micah Hyde, Mitch Morse, Mike Edwards and Poyer are all counting more than $2MM towards this years cap.
  9. Humphries had one solid season in 2020, when he was one of the top rated tackles. Otherwise he's been solid starter level. Question tho is how recovered is that ACL? Von and Tre White were shadows of their former greatness coming off ACL's at least initially.
  10. Ya mean like the guy in Buffalo that grew up idolizing the 49ers?
  11. There was a school of thought when we traded for Douglas that he had a couple of years left as a cover corner, but could move to safety and extend his career. He hasn't had a really big payday for a 29 yr old, so I think he will take the highest offer. he does have a $4MM dead cap hit the Bills will have to eat.
  12. NFL Network just had a bulletin Purdy out on Sunday vs. Green Bay, Bosa also ruled out.
  13. Thursday Injury report for 49ers. Just posted Tatum Bethune, LB Knee DNP Nick Bosa, DE Hip / Oblique DNP Jacob Cowing, WR Concussion DNP Kevin Givens, DT Groin DNP Trent Williams, T Ankle DNP George Kittle, TE Hamstring LP Jon Feliciano, C Knee LP Brock Purdy, QB Right Shoulder LP Charvarius Ward, CB NIR - Personal Matter LP
  14. I believe Kittle is also dinged up, he is the top rated TE in the league.
  15. And Shakir is I believe #2 in the league in YAC.
  16. With the money the top guys make, can't they hire private security to watch their property while their place is unoccupied? I know people for example who are snowbirds, and besides cameras, they pay people to check on their property when they are not around.
  17. I could see one of these dumpster fire franchises drafting the Sanders kid, then hiring his old man as the coach. it would fit the behavior of some of these owners.
  18. The 49ers have Fred Warner, which pretty much takes them out of the mediocre category. The Big unknown is Bosa's health. They are ranked 6th in total defense giving up 302 yards per game. Renardo Green is a rookie but already showing as a top 10 cornerback.
  19. There are sites out now with recent lines on the 49ers at Bills - range from Bills favored by 3-3.5 with O/U in the 47-48 range. Niners are probably even more banged up than the Bills and they've already had their bye.
  20. Sure shaping up that way. Bills have to hold serve against the 9ers and Rams, then on to the Motor City.
  21. I think she was given like 2% so that she could be a rep at owners meetings with Kim unable to be there.
  22. Bills Texans in Mexico City would be a juicy international game for sure.
  23. That being said, I think it interesting, [and I know it's early] that the 49ers are only a 2 pt dog at 5-5, where the unbeaten Chiefs were a 2.5 pt dog. I am hoping that Milano, Coleman, Brown, Kincaid will all benefit from the coming bye week, and the Bills will benefit from not having to travel for the better part of 4 weeks between their return from Indy [11/10] until they leave for LA [12/6].
  24. Rugby already uses carbon fiber goal posts and they go very high, 40'.
  25. Looking ahead [I know] Kittle was inactive yesterday vs. the Seahawks with a recurring hamstring. Is it OK to wish him a slow and careful recovery?
