  1. Smells like an old fashioned shootout this week. If our D-Line doesn't get any pressure, or fails to control Mixon, gonna be a long afternoon. Need Shakir to play, as he, Cook & Kincaid are the best weapons to complement #17, but our O-Line needs to do a better against a Texan's front that is nothing to write home about. Collins is ranked the #1 receiver in the league and our secondary in its current depleted state is a bottom 10 unit, esp if the front four can't get home.
  2. Peterman-esque
  3. Josh is taking home $60MM in cash this year, some ridiculous roster bonuses starting in 2026. He's not hurting.
  4. I look at Massey and Sagarin's sites. Massey has the Bills as the #1 team in the league and a 3 pt favorite with a 56% win probablity [adjusted for a road game]. He has Baltimore ranked 12th. Sagarin also has Bills as the top ranked team in all of his models [ELO based] and has Bills favored over #12 Ravens by between 2 and 4.5 adjusted for the road game. FWIW
  5. I think our punter, Sam Martin, went to App St Elbert Dubenion
  6. Theory was, given his size, you move Douglas to safety for a couple of years if he's still competitive.
  7. They also let Mathieu walk when he was one of the top safeties in the league.
  8. Um - I think the Cards returning the kickoff after we had just scored to go up by 11 was probably a play Smiley's crew would like back, and giving up the deuce on the conversion just puts a point on it.
  9. Josh is like all the best point guards. Great passer & distributor, but also can score the goal [or get the first down] when he needs to.
  10. Mahomes is the son of a former MLB player, was a talented HS pitcher who could hit, suspect his arm flexibility comes from his baseball days.
  11. I think you can add Morse to that list. His age and concussion history weren't promising. McGovern and Josh can hopefully be Kelly/Hull 2.0.
  12. Bills weren't going to be able to afford Gabe in Free Agency, $24MM guaranteed at signing. Lots of $$ for a 45 reception 750 yard WR who only caught 55% of his targets. Beane made a business decision.
  13. Yes, and Lewis' ability to play both Nickel and Dime DB is paying dividends in obvious passing situations. Ravens have the top rated TE in the league in Likely, so our Safeties will be tested by Lamar, King Henry, and Likely.
  14. The commentators specifically mentioned the well executed screen to Cook.
  15. It's a long season. Hopefully the rook learned his lesson. The snaps he missed went to others, which will benefit our depth later in the season.
  16. Bills must have emphasized tackling during the mini-bye, back 7 are wrapping up short of the sticks.
  17. Beane picked the Jets pocket with Codrington
  18. Hoping that having a couple "bigger " [230 - 235] linebackers will help the Bills do a better job of keeping Etienne under control. Except for Morse, Jag's O-Line seems pedestrian.
  19. Raiders will have to leave their stadium with heads in a paper bag after this.
  20. Cleveland lost 3 OL starters today, Deshaun gonna be running for his life
  21. Texas Memorial Stadium and the Alamodome are 80 miles apart in a 5 million person metro area. In football mad [Friday Night Lights] Texas, about the same distance as Rochester or Toronto to OP.
  22. My daughter lived in SD for 10 years after college, for some of them her apartment was right down the street from Qualcomm. There are way too many things to do in San Diego on a beautiful fall/early winter afternoon other than watching football. That's part of the problem. I do think if they can overcome Jerrah & McNair, I could definitely see a team based in either Austin or San Antonio. 5 million people live in those two adjacent metropolitan areas, those two [after San Diego] are the largest cities without a team.
  23. PFF has Benford ranked as the Top Cornerback in the league through the first two weeks of the season. He ranks first in what they call their advanced coverage grade, which measures how well they cover to force QB's to throw elsewhere. Hope Beane has this factored into his salary cap future planning.
