  1. Win out and still miss the playoffs… OR Win every game until the Miami game, get a sizable lead on Miami at the half, have a defensive meltdown in the second half, have Allen lead a seeming game-winning drive leaving 6 seconds on the clock, kick it short but Miami fair catches it, give up a 75 yd play to Tyreek Hill on a zero blitz to lose the game and miss the playoffs.
  2. My votes are what I think would happen, not what I’d want to happen. If they win out and the offense keeps rolling, I think he stays and Brady is poached for a HC position. Maybe the second was more what I wished would happen, and that’s he needs to make the AFC Championship game to keep his job. Regardless, I think he brings in a DC. The more Leslie Frazier has talked about it, the less I think he was canned, so I don’t know that McDermott actually intended to be the DC going into the season.
  3. Yes and no. It wouldn’t be as devastating, but the number of things that had to align for them not to win that game is maddening, made more so by a combination of really cowardly and never-endingly stupid coaching decisions when the game was still there to be won. Regardless of the Jets, Pats and Broncos game outcomes, Sunday’s game was a microcosm of why they’ll never get over the hump with McDermott. Add in the fact their season hung in the balance and it makes it downright unforgivable.
  4. Can he coach?
  5. I think he put together the team that McDermott wanted, and it’s a team that a better coach could win a SB with. Can’t blame him for the constant coaching mistakes.
  6. It was in OT. Had Morrow just bumped into Allen there wouldn’t have been a call. Instead, he shoved him at the end of the play, well after the ball was thrown. I don’t even think Allen embellished it… it was just a dumb play by Morrow.
  7. Yeah, Mitchell taking aim at Sanders’s playoff production is a bad look when he supported him with a total of 1 TD and 5 INTs in 2 games. His numbers actually help support the very thing he’s arguing against. It would be akin to the no-name Jets backup/starter QB scrub chirping about a compliment paid to an actual NFL level player.
  8. He’s been in the league since 2019 and played 5 games for the Lions in 2021… he’s well acquainted with throwing picks in the NFL… https://www.nfl.com/players/tim-boyle/stats/career
  9. I’m not absolving anything that came before it of its role in the loss, but the fact remains that the Bills had a chance to win the game with Denver starting a drive with under 2 minutes at their own 25 and the defense didn’t close it out… which is a common refrain over the last several seasons. Tell me you have any confidence in this defense to make a stop on the final drive of a one score game against anyone… for all of their rankings and statistics they haven’t been that defense probably since the days of Jim Schwartz.
  10. On the way to racking up those stats this D gave up game winning drives to Mac Jones and Russell Wilson, and tried really hard to do the same with Tyrod Taylor and Baker Mayfield. The stats are what they are, same as seasons past, but the eye test suggests this defense will break at big moments with the game on the line, same as seasons past.
  11. I translated it as… “I feel like I’m” ready to put this team on my “f***ing back!”
  12. Is your reference to Diggs in the biblical or pop culture sense? I’m not sure that I have a good handle on the era…
  13. Brady was not THE OC at LSU, he was co-OC. He was the passing game coordinator, Steve Ensminger was the running game coordinator. When Carolina tabbed him to be their OC he had never had the responsibility of the total OC position… and they were a pass happy offense that featured Sam Darnold and CMC… not exactly playing to their strengths.
  14. Maybe he remembered at the very last second it was supposed to be the little push pass and not a handoff so he tried really hard to do his best to execute the play that was called… 🤷‍♂️🤣
  15. I don’t see that as much as seeing him run with less abandon when he does run now. I think he looks for places to bail now, whereas before it was always full steam ahead.
  16. Ask and ye shall receive… and Miyagi beat me to it. 🤣
  17. 11 years old… seems like a perfect age to teach him how to pee in the sinks. 😂 Admittedly, it’s been a while since I’ve been a regular at games (not since ~2005)… when it’s really crowded at halftime, is that still a thing? 🤔
  18. Clearly you formed your ever-so-enlightened and never-endingly-vomited opinion from the few out of context words above and not from Beane's actual comments where he discusses how things haven't yet clicked for him, similar to Douglas and Norman at the beginning of their careers, but he's a hard worker and he's trying to get better... the ankle was hardly the main focus of his discussion of Elam.
  19. I’ve gotten to the end of the first page of this thread and I just HAVE to ask… Ever given any thought to changing your screen name to “bawlin”? Good gravy… 🤦‍♂️
  20. The Bears gave him and his agent the opportunity to seek out a trade because they couldn't agree on contract terms with him, so you would assume any team interested in trading for him would gauge what he was asking for in a contract, unless they were interested in burning draft capital for a rental. Sounds like he and his agent were throwing out some big numbers.
  21. Was it Chicago’s asking price or Johnson’s agent’s?
  22. Patrick Mahomes is detached?
