  1. This is NOT good. For as much as the NFL likes to control the narrative, the narrative on the Bills, and part of the reason people watch, is they just can't seem to break through. Outside of the diehard mafia, they are the lovable underdogs that you can't help but pull for. With ratings like that, the NFL has no reason for the narrative to change which means the lean of the officiating will NEVER change... the sad thing is I'm only partially kidding.
  2. Let's hope so... that would put them on schedule to refuse to defend their title and then disappear from the public eye while reports mount of erratic behavior behind the scenes.
  3. As I posted in another thread, it's the Marv Levy years all over again. The Bills will get as far as their talent alone can take them and not a step farther until their coaches finally figure this out.
  4. Yeah, that was flawless execution on the fumble last night. He has the benefit of a defense that can cover for any few mistakes he might make AND that can close a game, we don't.
  5. I had gotten pretty good at letting the losses go fairly quickly, but this one is going to sting for a while. Rapp aside, the starters were as healthy as they have ever been at this point in the playoffs. Losing Benford hurt, but regardless of the expectations pre-season, if they were going to clear this hurdle, this should have been the year. They could finally run the ball, their OL was dominant, and they had their starting DL, LBs, and CBs intact to start the game. Despite that, it still wasn't enough. IMO, it's going to take a shift in defensive philosophy to clear this hurdle, and I don't see that ever happening with McD. That realization doesn't sit well with me right now. I really feel like this team is stuck in this position with no clear way out, not good enough as a coaching staff to win it all, but not bad enough for ownership to justify making a change. So what am I doing to clear this funk... ruminating, I guess. Something tells me it's not going to help much, either. On the bright side, at least there's almost a whole year before I get to feel this way again.
  6. At this point, realizing the only way his team is going to win the game is if he plays nearly flawless probably has something to do with that.
  7. Mahomes outplayed our defense yesterday... again. Do you think he would have looked as cool as a cucumber going against KC's defense? Or that Allen would have had difficulty facing that McDermott/Babich defense? Allen had the tougher task yesterday, hands down.
  8. Let's hope they're the next Buddy Ryan and Kevin Gilbride.
  9. You think that's funny, stop to consider that we're tied to this defensive philosophy that has prevented Allen from winning a SB because it belongs to the HC whereas when KC realized they had a defensive problem that was hindering their eventual HOF QB's chances they brought in Spags because they could. Now THAT'S a real knee slapper.
  10. The 4 Horseman of the Apocalypse
  11. It feels like the Marv Levy era all over again, and not in a good way. When the stakes are highest the Bills have gotten outcoached every. Single. Time.
  12. Of course he would have. Allen would have too if he was facing the Bills defense.
  13. I’m going to give the OP an F… because I’m in a ***** mood and I feel like it.
  14. McDermott’s playoff defense makes it imperative that Allen plays a perfect every year, or they will lose. Look at how easy of a night Mahomes had compared to Spag’s defense that Allen had to face. Under the circumstances, with almost the same stats, all the media will talk about is how great Mahomes is despite Allen having had to face 10x the pressure and playing his ass off. Kincaid let him down tremendously on that desperation heave while getting sacked that hit him in the hands. Credit to KC’s defense for shutting down the Bills on 3rd and 4th and 1. It was the difference in the game. Wish we had a defense that we could rely on to do that…
  15. Not being snarky, are you old enough to remember the 1990-1991 season? Or do you mean with the modern day Allen/McDermott iteration?
  16. Here's hoping he's traded the soul of the Sabres this season for a Lombardi trophy. It would at least mitigate some of the pain of watching the last vestige of Lindy Ruff's pride get stripped away. Would be a bit ironic to win a championship in one and win the lottery for the first overall pick with the other in the same season.
  17. I don't know how anyone could watch what Saquon Barkley has done this season and the playoffs and count the Eagles out in a winner takes it all scenario. That's just crazy talk.
  18. Maybe they think he's part of Stroud's backslide.
  19. 👀… has anyone seen Justin Tucker lately?!?!
  20. On what planet is having a 3 1/2” erection for days a good sign? 🤷‍♂️
  21. Hate to break it to you, but it was no humdinger before you ended up with egg on your face. 😂
  22. A Terrance and Phillip character wearing a football helmet with a smiling potato on the side of it.
  23. If this guy thinks the pizza inside the stadium is a 6/10 then either the rest of the league is serving inedible food or he has an affinity for last week's high school cafeteria pizza. I hadn't been to the stadium since the early 2000's, but went for the Bills-Patriots season finale in the 2022-2023 season. My wife is from NOLA and we lived there for 7 years and have Saints season tix. I was embarrassed for her to eat the stadium food. It was appalling.
  24. My guess as pertains to Sunday was Coleman is a more physical blocker, and we were predominantly running the ball... 22 passing plays to 37 running plays. If Coleman sees 60% of the offensive snaps and Cooper only sees 30% of the offensive snaps, but Cooper's are predominantly on the passing plays do the snap percentages really make that much of a difference? Cook and Shakir were the only players targeted more than twice on Sunday.
